GREENFOLDER STORIES
What sets Baltimore Country Club apart from other country clubs? Our people! Our staff members take every step to go above and beyond to accomplish our Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. Often, there are easy ways to make a positive impression on our members from saying happy birthday to congratulations on an award. However, not being afraid to make the big gestures is what distinguishes us.
We love sharing these stories of the Simple Truth! Submit your Simple Truth experience by filling out the Green Folder Stories form, located at the bottom of the Park & Farms email, in Park & Farms, the staff webpage, or scan the QR codes in the staff breakrooms. BCC encourages all members to submit their own or fellow staff members’ Green Folder Stories.

As we begin another fiscal year, it's time to rally around a new theme that encapsulates our collective aspirations and goals. After the success of "One Team" and the transformative journey of "New Beginnings," we're excited to introduce this year's theme: "Our Standard: Starts With Us."
In every aspect at BCC, we recognize that excellence begins with each and every one of us. "Our Standard: Starts With Us" embodies the idea that we are the architects of our own success. It underscores the importance of personal responsibility, accountability, and commitment to upholding the highest standards in everything we do.
At the heart of this theme lies the notion of ownership. We understand that to achieve greatness, we must take ownership of our actions, decisions, and outcomes. By setting a high standard for ourselves individually, we collectively elevate the standard for our entire Club. Each interaction, each project, and each initiative is an opportunity to demonstrate our dedication to excellence.
As we embark on this journey together, let us embrace "Our Standard: Starts With Us" with enthusiasm and determination. Let us hold ourselves to the highest standards, knowing that our collective efforts will propel us toward success. With each individual contribution, we strengthen the foundation upon which our Club thrives.

WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH THE TREE?
If you’ve ventured by the Five Farms Breakroom recently, chances are you’ve caught sight of Nandy Dhoska, one of our talented engineers, diligently crafting a remarkable art installation. This magnificent creation takes the form of a tree, symbolizing growth, collaboration, and the unity of our workforce. However, while its aesthetic beauty is undeniable, there’s still an essential element missing—and that’s where you come in!
We invite all staff members to contribute to this communal masterpiece by adding their personal touch. How, you ask? It’s simple—this tree needs leaves! Submit a selfie, along with your name and department, to be proudly displayed on the branches of our tree. Let your smiling face be a part of this vibrant display of teamwork and camaraderie. Remember, all photos must be work appropriate.
Let’s cultivate a sense of belonging and togetherness throughout BCC. Join us in adorning our tree with the diverse faces and identities of our wonderful BCC community!

Reformers Pilates is a class that can be taken at your own pace, as you are practicing strength training where you control the variable resistance according to your needs. Do you ever find yourself wanting to bring your hobby to work? Let us help make that happen for you! If you have an interest and information on certain subjects, we would love to offer you a platform to speak on them. Teaching a class can be as, if not more enriching than attending as a student. Not only will your coworkers get to know you a bit more, you will be able to share unique insight and knowledge for them to keep. Subjects can range from ‘Beginner’s Guide to Indian Masalas’, ‘Intro to Drawing’, all the way to ‘How to Care for a Rabbit’, really and truly anything! If you would like the opportunity to host a class, please contact Lauren Kourtsounis lkourtsounis@bcc1898.com and we can start planning your course!

To: Tyler Bielatowicz, F&B
For Graham and Liz Boyce’s anniversary party, Tyler made a prime example for what proper setup and execution should look like. The direction he provides his staff further supports the Club in a way that should be exemplified. A hard work ethic and determination is something that is easily identifiable when observing Tyler.
From: F&B
To: Dennis Kircher & Ryan Moeller, Engineering
I always see the two engineering brothers being extremely helpful. Whether I am the one that is asking, or if it’s someone else, they have a kind demeanor that makes them easy to talk to. They are both very knowledgeable and proficient, acting as major resources for BCC.
From: IT
To: Shantae Fauntleroy, Culinary
The food she comes up with is always so tasty. Her position is a hard one to be in, every day having to take in constructive criticism whether it was asked for or not. She shows up for us everyday, that kind of consistency is rare to find.
From: Golf
Kudos Korner is composed of different compliments or ‘kudos’ heard around the halls and sent to Staff Engagement Coordinator Madison Elena melena@bcc1898.com. This is to make sure that even if you haven’t heard it from a coworker directly, they are thinking of you! Theres a lot of gratitude to be spread. Thank you for all that you do!
To: Kayla Johns, F&B
A frequent flier of the Kudos Korner is F&B Manager, Kayla Johns! When any of her peers or staff speak of her, the words ‘humble’, ‘generous’, and ‘understanding’ all stick out. When it comes to leadership styles, Kayla is a sincere team player.
From: F&B
To: Guillermo Ortiz, Clubhouse Services
A kind and bubbly face to have around! Throughout the course of a single day, you will find him working in any and all of the rooms. Quick to help, and even quicker to make you laugh, Guillermo is nothing short of an earnest coworker and contributor to BCC.

March 1 marked a very special day, Employee Appreciation Day! To help embody the creative spirit and individuality that all our wonderful coworkers bring to our team, we held a Cupcake Wars! With the help of the Pastry Department, we had a vanilla and chocolate cupcake prepared for each contestant to decorate with a wide variety of candy, sprinkles, and frostings. The Pastry team briefed the rest of our staff on their supplies, and then they left the room to allow for a blind judgment. Once everyone’s hands were off the frosting, we called our judges back in to deliberate, and boy, were they making some tough decisions. After battling it out, we had our four categorical winners.
