Great People Make Favorite Places
BCC has created an actionable statement that helps define our philosophy known as The Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. Below is a small sample of staff members who are helping to make BCC your favorite place. ◆
Staff Member of the Month
Leadership Award
JUNE
JUNE
Joe Gerst, Line Cook Joe was named the June Staff Member of the month for June. His way of taking ownership of the Grill Station has been noticed. He is always involved with the set up and creates specials for the members to enjoy! Way to take initiative, Joe!
Vince Posterli, Talent Acquisition Coordinator & Aquatics Director Vince Posterli embodies our simple truth of Great People make Favorite Places and has done a phenomenal job (especially in the aftermath of the pandemic) in hiring great people for the club. This summer season, Vince has accepted the role as the Director of Aquatics and has been instrumental in the success of our safe and active pool season. Vince has kept the lifeguards productive and engaged while educating them on aquatic safety and pool maintenance. The club has also received countless number of positive comments about Vince’s charm, empathy and attention to details from the membership.
GREEN FOLDER STORIES
Submit your story today!
Our staff members take every step to go above and beyond to accomplish our Simple Truth. Often, there are easy ways to make a positive impression on our members, from saying happy birthday or congratulations on an award, but not being afraid to make the big gestures is what sets us apart. Let us know how you made a positive impact on a member, guest, vendor, or fellow staff member!

NICK JOERRES Hello, my name is Nick Joerres and I am 18 years old. I was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin before I moved to North Carolina, and then to Maryland when I was eight years old. I graduated from Loyola Blakefield High School with the class of 2022 and I am looking forward to attending Clemson University in the fall! I started working at Baltimore Country Club the summer of my sophomore year as a Lifeguard and I became a Aquatics Manager last year. I have enjoyed all three years working at BCC!
KATHERINE SEAL My name is Katherine Seal and 2022 marks the beginning of my third year at BCC! For the past two summers, I have worked as a Lifeguard, and this summer, I was promoted to Aquatics Manager. I love serving the members alongside my hardworking and fun co-workers. This fall I will attend Roanoke College as a studentathlete playing women’s field hockey and will be majoring in Health Sciences.
Pool Complex THE
The Pool Complex which is approximately two acres, is comprised of three pools: Lap Pool, Family Pool, and Children’s Splash Pad. Between the three pools, there are 286,682 gallons of water! On the lawn there are over 300 chairs and about 60 umbrellas. To keep our members safe, the Aquatics Department is built up of a team of over 40 lifeguards, two Managers, and one Aquatics Director. Throughout the summer our Swim Coach Abigail Werner teaches swim lessons and coached the BCC Barracudas!
