GREENFOLDER STORIES

What sets Baltimore Country Club apart from other country clubs? Our people! Our staff members take every step to go above and beyond to accomplish our Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. Often, there are easy ways to make a positive impression on our members from saying happy birthday to congratulations on an award. However, not being afraid to make the big gestures is what distinguishes us. We love sharing these stories of the Simple Truth! Submit your Simple Truth experience by filling out the Green Folder Stories form, located at the bottom of the Park & Farms email, in Park & Farms, the staff webpage, or scan the QR codes in the staff breakrooms. BCC encourages all members to submit their own or fellow staff members’ Green Folder Stories.

STORIES FROM THE FOLDER Mrs. Chilcot contacted the Club saying their dog had eaten one of their gingerbread houses overnight. They were wondering if the Club had any extra houses that the Chilcot's could decorate, as she knew her daughter would be upset to wake up to the news. The Club not only gave the Chilcot's a new gingerbread house but had also recently learned of the adoption of their new puppy, Tilly (great name for a BCC Member). The Club gifted the family a large dog collar with the BCC logo on it for Tilly to grow into, and a nice note complimenting their puppies new name.

Mrs. Sweeney e-mailed Brittany to cancel their dining reservation and apologize for not canceling in a timely manner. The family had sick children at home and were extremely disappointed to not get away to BCC for a date night to celebrate Mr. Sweeney’s birthday. Brittany went out of her way to deliver goodies to the Sweeney home that evening to help ease the burden of missing the birthday dinner.

Rachel Barnes found photos of Mr. Bill Walter and his grandsons at the BCC Grand Re-Opening event. As a Christmas surprise, Barnes had copies of these photos printed and framed. Additionally, she gifted the Walter families a Christmas ornament of a Hawk (Mr. Bill Walter's nickname) and had engraved "In Loving Memory of the Hawk" on the back of the ornament. This was presented to the Walter family with their Thanksgiving To-Go pick-up.

Wade Johnston learned that Hannah Mohler had an injury that would keep her off of the Squash courts for a little while. He also noticed that she frequents the Roland Park Fitness Faciltiy during her recovery. To show support from the Club, Wade organized Hannah’s favorites—dark chocolate and rosé wine in combination with a get well card to show support from the Club while she recovered. Thank You! FOR A SUCCESSFUL 2023 HOLIDAY SEASON!

SANTA PARTY “The activities downstairs were so cute. You guys do an amazing job with this event. Our family had a blast!” “We loved the entire event and the build a reindeer was my son’s absolute favorite part and so cute! Thank you all so much for all you do!” FIRESIDE LUNCH “The pace allowed my guest and me to converse and enjoy each other’s company. I loved the piano playing in the background. My soup and dessert (we split both) were excellent. My entrée was very good and I appreciated the salad offerings on the menu. Merry Christmas!”

HOLIDAY DINNER BUFFETS “Always a home run and the food, theme and service were exceptional! The oysters were especially great and the pork belly brisket was over the top! Loved Steak Diane. Don’t know how you folks pull off wonderful events time after time! Merry Christmas!” “The staff was excellent! Everyone was smiling, helpful, engaged with us. Abby’s Santa jacket may have been better than Kent’s!” “We registered at the last minute and the staff/front desk worked so hard to make it possible for us to attend - had us a place in the Baltimore room which was so special! We absolutely loved the experience - a true highlight of the season!” CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH “Lydia, the pastry chef, made an entire dairy free cake for me. She deserves a lot of accolades. After all these events this was a first. Thank you!” “Thank you to our server Raquel, she was the best. As always thank you to Tyler, Brad, and Gio for always going above and beyond. My guests had the BEST day thanks to their exceptional service.” CHRISTMAS TO-GO “Top notch as usual! It was an incredible amount of food - the left overs were devoured as quickly as the first time around! Appreciate the attention to detail from the ordering process, to the confirmation, the delivery, and even the directions to ensure the meal was top notch. You hit the mark… again, and again, and again!” 9
