What sets Baltimore Country Club apart from other country clubs? Our people! Our staff members take every step to go above and beyond to accomplish our Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. Often, there are easy ways to make a positive impression on our members from saying happy birthday to congratulations on an award. However, not being afraid to make the big gestures is what distinguishes us.
We love sharing these stories of the Simple Truth! Submit your Simple Truth experience by filling out the Green Folder Stories form, located at the bottom of the Park & Farms email, in Park & Farms, the staff webpage, or scan the QR codes in the staff breakrooms. BCC encourages all members to submit their own or fellow staff members’ Green Folder Stories.
Fahimeh has been part of the BCC Team for the past 17 years and truly embodies our Simple Truth (Great People Make Favorite Places) every single day. Our Executive Chef Richard Jallet said that Fahimeh’s work ethic is the best that he has seen in his entire career. Fahimeh is a difference-maker in the kitchen with her remarkable creativity on cold food displays and her willingness to train the interns and lead by example. We are honored to have Fahimeh on our team and are proud to recognize all her hard work over the years.
Since joining the BCC Team over three years ago, Jenna has positively impacted our members’ fitness and wellness experience at Roland Park with fun yet challenging workouts, fitness challenges, and specialty classes. Our members enjoy working with Jenna, and her success has been shown her success has shown in her number of clients, increase in revenue, and member testimonials. She has a positive attitude and is a dedicated staff member who is proactive in improving BCC members’ fitness and wellness experience. We are lucky to have Jenna on our team and are thrilled to present her with this award.

you need help, ask. If you can help, give.
Helping Hands is an example of how BCC fosters a genuine approach to the modern working environment. Important keys to our culture are kindness, sincerity, and the extraordinary. The foundation is here because BCC understands that life can be unpredictable, and anything that hinders stability can absolutely affect your day to day life. With the help from generous Staff Members and Members of the Club who opt-in to donating to the fund, they are able to be a pillar of support for those who are seeking assistance. Whether it was an overwhelming season and you are unable to pay your electricity bill, you are finding it hard to put groceries on the table, or you got stuck with an unmanageable hospital bill, know that we are here for you. Helping Hands is a driving force in our mission here at the club, and we couldn’t do it without you.
The organization is funded through voluntary staff member contributions that are tax deductible through our 501c3 status.
Contributions can be as low as $1 per pay period and can be adjusted at any time. This is a great way to help your coworkers that may find themselves in need of assistance.
If you would like to contribute, or are in need of assistance, please email helpinghand@bcc1898.com or contact any Helping Hands committee member.

HOW IS MEMBER SATISFACTION MEASURED?
WHAT IS MEMBER SATISFACTION?
Member satisfaction is defined as a measurement that determines how happy members are with a club’s products, services, and capabilities.
After a purchase or experience in Dining, Golf, Racquets, Club Events, & Private Events, members receive a Happometer survey and rate their overall experience on a scale of 1 to 5. The results of this score are averaged amongst all surveys received and expressed as a percentage.
For the coming quarter, within your role, how can you help to create a positive impact on Member Experience? Although scores are collected for the mentioned member-facing departments, we all play an important role in contributing to Member Satisfaction. A member’s satisfaction can be impacted in a magnitude of ways; from the appearance of the grounds, to the greeting at the welcome house, to the friendliness of the valet/front desk, to the cleanliness of the clubhouse, to the accuracy of their bills or club communications and much more.
To: Alex Grib
Alex is extremely courteous and thoughtful to not only his team, but everyone that surrounds him. Whether it is cleaning a bin of dirty dishes, surprising people with the leftover flowers from Club events, or making sure to ask how your day is going, he never misses a beat.
From: Events
To: Carlos Ortiz
Every morning he is here for at least an hour, cleaning the place top to bottom, making sure to get every nook and cranny. When he leaves, the golf house is spotless and we couldn’t appreciate him more for how much he helps us every day.
To: Sonam, Erik, and Jared
A huge thank you to Sonam, he is one of the fast and efficient helpers whenever we need fruit cut, and always with a smile on his face. Erik and Jared are consistently fast on their feet to jump behind the bar with us, or ask if we need any help from the rest of the F&B Team. Whenever we are busy, we know we are covered. Thank you for always being so proactive!
From: Bartending Crew
Kudos Korner is composed of different compliments or ‘kudos’ heard around the halls and sent to Staff Engagement Coordinator Madison Elena melena@bcc1898.com. This is to make sure that even if you haven’t heard it from a coworker directly, they are thinking of you! There’s a lot of gratitude to be spread. Thank you for all that you do!
To: Tim Kennelly & Cathy Wagner

Tim and Cathy are great examples of the selfless leaders we have here at BCC. They are always looking for ways to improve the working day of their people, keeping each individual in mind as they make plans for the future of Golf & Grounds Maintenance.
