GREENFOLDER STORIES

What sets Baltimore Country Club apart from other country clubs? Our people! Our staff members take every step to go above and beyond to accomplish our Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. Often, there are easy ways to make a positive impression on our members from saying happy birthday to congratulations on an award. However, not being afraid to make the big gestures is what distinguishes us.

We love sharing these stories of the Simple Truth! Submit your Simple Truth experience by filling out the Green Folder Stories form, located at the bottom of the Park & Farms email, in Park & Farms, the staff webpage, or scan the QR codes in the staff breakrooms. BCC encourages all members to submit their own or fellow staff members’ Green Folder Stories.

SIMPLE TRUTH OF THE YEAR AWARD

Mike Wilkinson, Sous Chef Tournant

One evening, our dishwasher Rosa received news that her son had been hospitalized after an accident. In her rush to get to the hospital, Rosa accidentally entered the wrong Uber and ended up at a gas station. After hearing the situation, Chef Mike displayed remarkable kindness, tirelessly search for Rosa until he found her, despite a communication barrier. Rosa explained that she needed to retrieve some essential documents from home before heading to the hospital. Without hesitation, Chef Mike drove her home, waited while she gathered the documents, and then drove her to the hospital. This journey extended late into the night, concluding around 2:00am. Chef Mike’s selflessness and support in this challenging time exemplify the camaraderie & compassion within our team.

From: Shantae Fauntleroy, Culinary

I just want to say thank you all for making my day when I come to work. The fact you all light up when you see me warms my heart..I truly appreciate you all for letting me cook for you and sharing some of my favorite recipes. Thank you for Being Great People and making this my favorite place.

To: Luke Young, Golf

I love Luke. He is funny, cool-headed, and easy to talk to. He sets a great example for a lot of the young men that are looking to become professionals in the industry.

From: Culinary

To: David Atkinson, Events

As a seasoned professional, David was able to quickly find his groove at BCC in a way we can all admire. Always looking to see where he can help and contribute, even when it is past his duties and responsibilities. Going above and beyond for his coworkers is no strange concept to David.

From: Human Resources

To: Ben Henderson, F&B

He has a way of making you comfortable, making you laugh. It is nice as a newer employee to feel like I can go to my managers if I need anything. He makes sure I know that talking to him is always an option.

From: F&B

Kudos Korner is composed of different compliments or ‘kudos’ heard around the halls and sent to Staff Engagement Coordinator Madison Elena melena@bcc1898.com. This is to make sure that even if you haven’t heard it from a coworker directly, they are thinking of you! There’s a lot of gratitude to be spread. Thank you for all that you do!

To: Oswaldo, Clubhouse Services

Gracias a Oswaldo y su equipo por siempre adaptarse a los cambios de última hora para los eventos del club!
