The Chinati Foundation is a contemporary art museum founded by the artist Donald Judd. The collection includes work by twelve artists and focuses on permanent, large-scale installations emphasizing the relationship between art, architecture, and the surrounding landscape. The museum is open Wednesday – Sunday

The Marfa Studio of Arts (MSA) is the only local organization that offers arts programming to local community children and youth on a year-round basis. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose teaching artists design and lead the visual arts curriculum at Marfa elementary schools through its Studio In The Elementary School (SITES) programs. MSA also operates a free after-school arts enrichment program, the MSA Children’s Art Gallery, and special summer programs and teen projects.
