YAY! OUR CLUBS ARE GETTING A REFRESH!
ALWAYS ETHICALLY MADE. ALWAYS EMPOWERING WOMEN.
In January 2024, you’ll notice our Fair Trade Friday clubs will be called MHG Clubs. It feels right because it’s a reflection of our 13-year legacy and our ongoing commitment to empower women globally through dignified and sustainable employment—all in Jesus’ name.
ABIDE This year, Mercy House Global joyfully embraces the theme "Abide" with a focus on the fruits of the spirit. Through your monthly subscription to MHG Clubs, you are not only contributing to the creation of meaningful jobs for artisans around the world, but also cultivating a bountiful harvest symbolized by the growing array of fruits in our illustration above. Together, we are sowing seeds of positive change and reaping the sweet fruits of empowerment for global communities.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 At Mercy House Global, we choose themes based on what God is speaking to us, doing in us, and His work happening through us. Our theme for 2024 is Abide. To abide means to stay. Many marginalized people find themselves in vulnerable positions because they have been left. Our mission is to empower vulnerable families in Jesus’ name by creating opportunities that provide hope. At Mercy House Global, we stay. We love that abide is also another word from home. At Mercy House Global, we house vulnerable people; we work to keep families together; we reintegrate teen moms back home; we creatively find jobs for women to work from home. We empower them to make beautiful items for your home. Abiding in Christ connects all of us in the family of God. We are called to abide. God produces fruit. We understand that apart from God, we can do nothing. John Mark Comer explains, “If a vine doesn’t have a trellis, it will die. And if your life with Jesus doesn’t have some kind of structure to facilitate health and growth, it will wither away.” As we celebrate a new year full of possibilities, we look forward to learning, growing, and abiding together.

noah’s ark Noah’s Ark was established in 1986 with the sole objective of artisans' welfare and education in Moradabad, India. They support artisans through fair trade practices and provide training in the production of quality products for overseas markets. Noah’s Ark uplifts the downtrodden of society, using their profits to invest back in their community with many social projects related to education, health, water, and sanitation.
TALIB Thirty-four-year-old Talib is married and has a young daughter. He learned his skills from his father, who is a master craftsman. Noah’s Ark helped him establish a workshop and installed woodworking machinery, such as a dust extractor, in order to provide safe and fair working conditions. WHAT DO WE MEAN BY ETHICAL? Ethically traded products are crafted by artisans who work in safe conditions, receive a fair wage, and maintain reasonable working hours. No child sacrificed their education to create your new favorite item, and no parent toiled in a sweatshop for 80 hours a week. We ensure that all of our MHG Clubs items are ethically sourced. HOW ARE MHG CLUBS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER SUBSCRIPTION CLUBS? MHG Clubs are operated by Mercy House Global, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. All proceeds from MHG Clubs support vulnerable families by providing dignified work. MHG CLUBS PARTNER WITH FAITH-BASED ARTISAN GROUPS ACROSS THE GLOBE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? While we are a faith-based ministry and collaborate with other faith-based ministries, religion is not imposed on artisans, nor is it a prerequisite for employment. Many women and their families practice different religions than we do, and that is okay. Our belief in Christ compels us to love, serve, and assist others, irrespective of their personal belief systems.
