ABOUNDING WELCOME “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion... abounding in loving kindness and truth.” —Psalm 145:8 The full sun; warm evening breeze, crashing waves, scent of sunscreen—there’s nothing like a summer welcome. It’s true what Charles Bowden said, “Summertime is always the best of what might be." Summer is in full bloom, and we are soaking up every second. So, kick back and relax, but don’t be satisfied. The warmth of summer shines bright, but only Jesus lights up the darkness. This world, with all of its abundance, cannot quench our souls. Only God can satisfy. Summer is temporary, but our faith is eternal. Jim Elliot reminds us: "Always seek peace between your heart and God, but in this world, always be careful to remain ever-restless, never satisfied, and always abounding in the work of the Lord.” What we plant today, grows tomorrow. Wildflowers we pick today bloom tomorrow. Every new welcome is a seed of new friendships. "All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seed of today,” Croft M Penz said. As you offer a warm summer welcome to friends and family in your home, you are inviting them to abound with you—to live a full, satisfied life. Every home has an entry way—a way to enter in. It serves as an introduction, an opening, a welcome home beginning. This month’s Fair Trade Friday diffuses the warmth of summer and beckons guests to enter in with the aromatic diffuser, botanical bunting, and flower arranging discs. You and your guests deserve an abounding welcome.

Ziyada
Ziyada exists to provide meaningful employment in a safe, loving environment for people caught in the devastating cycle of extreme poverty in North India—and in the process, to bring you quality and beauty through the products they create. At Ziyada, every woman is trained in handspinning yarn, embroidery, and sewing. Every employee earns a fair wage, has access to health care for themselves and their children, and enjoys a work environment where people are loved, skills are developed, and ethical practices are affirmed.
This order generated 116 hours of work for Ziyada’s team of 24 artisans. More work for them means more children in school, more food on the table, more savings, and more hope for the future. By purchasing these goods, you are providing more than a job. You are creating a sanctuary for women who need a place to be supported and encouraged, a place where love and hope bring new, abundant life to the artisans.
WOODEN
FLOWER FROGS MADE BY UNDER OVER FELLOWSHIP IN THE USA Flower frogs are reusable floral devices that make arranging bouquets a breeze. Fill up any vase or jar that has an opening less than 3.5" wide. Place you wooden flower frog on top. Place flower stems through the holes. Start in the middle and work you way out. Be sure to pay attention to the placement of the floral stems. You want the flowers to make a statement and the greenery to fill in the gaps.
Under Over Fellowship
Under Over Fellowship is a church located in downtown Conroe, Texas. Among its many ministries that cater to the homeless and marginalized in the community, it also has a men’s program for 15-20 men that live at the church for six months to a year. They are given an opportunity to focus on their relationship with Jesus, recover from addiction and mental health issues, and have a chance to start over. The men are given opportunities to return to past careers, to be trained for new ones, and to attend school all while hearing about the love of a Savior willing to die on the cross for them.
Kevin
Under Over’s studio manager, Kevin, came to the group after many years of homelessness. Kevin has a marketing degree from the University of North Texas, but due to difficult circumstances and setbacks, he found himself in need of a place to call home. He started out like other men in the program working in the wood-shop doing a variety of jobs. Through a newfound relationship with Christ and his work ethic, Kevin was placed in charge of the laser engraving department. Today, he manages all of Under Over’s orders while earning a livable wage from this position.
LIME VERBENA REED DIFFUSER MADE BY ARTISANS WHO ARE REFUGEES LIVING IN THE USA Reed diffusers are a flameless alternative to candles and wax warmers. Lime Verbena is a refreshing scent that is sure to be your favorite for summer with its notes of lime, vanilla, and coconut.
When Sandra lived in Caqueta, Colombia, she received threats against her life and moved to Ecuador in 2015 for safety. She asked for asylum and was able to move to Houston, Texas, as a refugee in May 2021.

Uncap fragrance jar and place reeds inside. The intended aroma will result when the fragrance oil flows upwards and evaporates into the air creating a long-lasting scent. Allow 48 hours for the reeds to fully absorb fragrance on first use. Flip reeds upside-down about once a week to refresh scent. Flipping the reeds more often results in a stronger scent, but will also cause the oil to evaporate more quickly.
Sandra is paying for a business course so she can achieve her dream of owning her own business and earning a secure income. In the future, this mother of one daughter would like to travel the world.

FAIR TRADE FRIDAY
a fair trade subscription clu WHAT IS FAIR TRADE? Fairly-traded products are made by artisans who work in safe conditions, are paid a fair wage, and work fair hours. No child gave up his education to produce your new favorite item; no mom was laboring in a sweatshop for 80 hours a week. We ensure that all of our Fair Trade Friday club items are fairly traded. HOW IS FTF DIFFERENT THAN OTHER SUBSCRIPTION CLUBS? We are not a for–profit company, or even a profit-for-good company — Fair Trade Friday is operated by Mercy House Global, a nonprofit. All profits from FTF directly support our maternal rescue center, Rehema House, in Kenya. You can learn more at mercyhouseglobal.org. FTF PARTNERS WITH FAITH-BASED ARTISAN GROUPS ACROSS THE GLOBE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? While we are a faith-based ministry and partner with other faith-based ministries, religion is not forced upon artisans, nor is it a requirement for employment. Many women & their families have different religions than us, and that is okay. Our belief in Christ calls us to love, serve, and help others, regardless of their personal belief systems.
