a note from our founder Three New Rehema Residents

Baby #70 makes her arrival!

This is the best news you’ll read today— three more pregnant teen girls joined the growing Rehema family in Kenya! They join 68 others in this precious sisterhood of second chances. These girls are just 14 and 15 years old and have tragic stories. We pray that these vulnerable girls will feel God's immeasurable love for them. Please pray for their transition and for the other girls who will be joining them soon.

Miracle baby #70, a tiny four pounds, arrived early on November 12th at Rehema House! Please pray for her young mama, who moved into the Mercy House Global maternity home two short weeks ago. This sweet baby was born with a heart defect, and doctors are monitoring her. Your support makes these miracles possible!

update from kenya Just over six weeks ago, we held our Tea Time in Kenya live event and we are still celebrating! Thanks to the amazing generosity of so many, this was not only a successful fundraiser, it was a testimony of the incredible transformation and impact that is happening at Rehema House and among artisans employed by Mercy House Global. We are proud of the short film which is a great resource for people to learn about this lifechanging work. If you haven’t had a chance to watch or want to share the video, you can still do that by clicking here.

"And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him." Luke 2:40

At Mercy House Global, we are not only addressing some of the most horrific problems around the globe; we are identifying solutions that separate darkness from light with the Bible’s most vulnerable people: orphans, widows and refugees. We are growing hope in barren places. This holiday season, would you consider helping us grow hope? 2022 has been one of our most challenging years financially with the collapse of our home office in Texas and ongoing recovery from losing one of our homes in Kenya. If you believe in this ministry to vulnerable families, we need your help to continue providing opportunities for them. Help us grow hope and provide opportunities in Jesus’ name.

refugee ministry esol + empowerment lunch

The second semester of English classes among Afghan refugees is in full swing. It’s been amazing to see their language skills develop and friendships grow in this new community. We believe God opened the door to walk alongside our neighbors. This program is in its infancy, and we have big dreams. Our ESOL students also participate at our empowerment lunches. Last week, we held our 4th quarter lunch, and it was so much fun! It was a time for the women to meet other refugees from around the globe, enjoy Syrian food prepared by local refugees, learn business skills, and participate in a craft. The women loved the challenge of making graham cracker gingerbread houses and receiving gifts from Mercy House Global.

Volunteer Appreciation We're so thankful for our local volunteers! This year has been especially challenging with multiple warehouse moves, and we simply couldn’t do all the hard things without our volunteers. Our volunteer appreciation event will be Thursday, December 1st. Guest speaker, Ally Hongkham from Thailand, will be sharing about the country and what she does there. (She is supported monthly by Mercy House Global!)

rsvp here for the volunteer appreciation event

RSVP for either the 9:30 or 11:30 session. Seats will be limited.

We will be taste-testing cuisine from Thailand (made by Ally!), enjoying some Christmas treats, and doing a hands-on activity from Thai culture. Every volunteer will receive a fair trade gift, and one lucky attendee will win a $200 MHG shopping spree!

Thanksgiving holidays We will be closed on November 24th + 25th.
