SCHOLARS PROGRAMS HONORS PROGRAM – engages exceptional students in a rigorous curriculum that reflects the highest accomplishment in research, creativity and thought at the College. Students accepted into the Honors Program participate in innovative courses, travel opportunities, cultural enrichment programs, and community-based learning. PASCHAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM – offers a unique opportunity for talented students intending to study computer science, mathematics, chemistry, biology, or engineering. Paschal scholars participate in a specialized learning community and hear from outside speakers who address topics of interest for women in STEM. MEREDITH TEACHING FELLOWS PROGRAM – offers a dynamic education enriched with opportunities to gain hands-on classroom experience, learn from education professionals, participate in study abroad, and enroll in Honors courses. SERVICE SCHOLARS – for students with a demonstrated deep commitment to service in their communities. They are creative individuals with a strong understanding of principles of community engagement and a desire to learn from their experiences. Recipients are comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds and open to ideas that may differ from their own. Throughout their time at Meredith, recipients participate in a specialized learning community.

They take courses in a variety of disciplines, reflect critically about the causes of various societal issues, and engage in creating solutions with their partner organizations toward the goal of social justice for the communities in which they serve. TALENT SCHOLARSHIPS ART SCHOLARSHIPS – awarded to incoming first-year students pursuing a major in art. Finalists for the awards are selected by the faculty of the Department of Art on the basis of artistic talent determined through a digital portfolio submission and are invited to bring their artwork to campus and interview with art faculty during Scholars Weekend. These scholarships may be renewed annually for a total of four years. CREATIVE WRITING SCHOLARSHIPS – awarded to first-year, full time students with an interest in creative writing. These scholarships are renewable annually for a total of four years. INTERIOR DESIGN SCHOLARSHIPS – awarded to incoming first-year students planning to major in interior design. Finalists for the award are invited to campus to present samples of their creative work and interview with faculty during Scholars Weekend. These awards, which are made on the basis of scholarship and potential for success in the field, may be renewed annually for a total of four years. MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS – awarded to incoming first-year students pursuing a major in music. Finalists for the awards are invited to campus to audition for and interview with music faculty. $24 million in scholarships and grants available from Meredith College. THEATRE SCHOLARSHIPS – awarded to incoming first-year students pursuing a major in theatre. Applicants are invited to audition during Scholars Weekend for these scholarships, which are awarded on the basis of talent in theatre. Apply – Access the Meredith Talent Scholarship application at meredith.edu/financial-assistance. The deadline to apply for Scholars Programs or Talent Scholarships is January 15. Students must also be admitted to the College by January 15. Applying early is recommended. Students invited to interview or audition for Scholars Programs or Talent Scholarships complete their interviews or auditions at Scholars Weekend in mid-February. Scholarship recipients are notified by mid-March.

TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS ACADEMIC INCENTIVE SCHOLARSHIP – $8,000 $11,000 annual scholarship for students transferring from a U.S. accredited four-year institution or community college. Amount of scholarship is based on academic credentials submitted with the application for admission. Renewable for up to six semesters and requires full-time enrollment.

OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS THOMAS MEREDITH BAPTIST HERITAGE SCHOLARSHIPS – awarded to incoming first-year students on the basis of academic excellence, outstanding church and community service, and leadership ability. Recipients must be members of a North Carolina Baptist church and provide a recommendation from a church official. The scholarships are renewable for a total of four years. YELLOW RIBBON SCHOLARSHIPS – match certain grant and scholarship contributions from Meredith to veterans and their eligible dependents. Maximum VA benefit is $20,235.
