Trends und Innovations E-FLIGHT-EXPO Ecological Electrical Evolutionary Innovative companies will be presenting environmentally friendly aero engines, new aviation fuels and battery technologies. New at AERO: The Lindbergh Electric Aircraft Prize (LEAP) will be awarded in Friedrichshafen this year.
Berblinger Flight Competition (Hall A2) The aim of the competition is to demonstrate flight concepts using innovative technologies. The Berblinger Prize is one of the highest value prizes in the field of general aviation. Construction teams from all over the world will present aircraft using promising and innovative technology and design and demonstrate suitability for daily use in a flight competition to be held on Friday, April 15, 2011.
Helicopter Hangar (Halls B4 + B5) The aircraft on display in the helicopter section will range from light gyrocopters to heavy transport helicopters. The exhibition will be supported by high-calibre lectures on all aspects of rotary wing flight. Rescue helicopters will show their capabilities during a large rescue exercise on Lake Constance on Friday, April 15, 2011.
