The Transformation Begins!
Mayor Ras Baraka
Transformation Newark Transformation Newark is a motivating visualization movement encouraging inspiration and influence to promote new opportunities and explore new ways of doing things that will advance hope and progress within the city of Newark. This is a collaboration effort of transformational churches, TM leadership and likeminded individuals who love the city. Working alongside us is a coalition of political, law enforcement, commercial-private businesses and educational constituencies who all have come together to rebuild the “walls” of Newark, NJ. More To Come...Stay Tuned!
Goodbye StarLedger The city of Newark published its first daily paper In 1832. It looks as though it will stop in 2014. Publisher Samuel Irving Newhouse bought the Star-Eagle in 1939, he merged it with the Newark Ledger, forming the Newark Star-Ledger. The Star-Ledger is New Jersey’s largest daily paper, with a print circulation of about 170,000 daily and 270,000 on Sundays. They have won three Pulitzer Prizes, yet are having massive firings and will be moving to the Edison area within weeks.
Mayor Ras Baraka’s Transformation has begun in City Hall. As of press time 9 director and manager positions have been filled. Police Director Eugene Venable, former South Ward Captain, replaces Sheilah Coley. Police Chief Anthony Campos, former Chief and current public safety director replaces Ivonne Roman. Deputy Police Director John Arnold Jr., a former Essex County Sheriff candidate. Housing & Economic Development Director Baye Adofo-Wilson, who started the Lincoln Park Music Festival, replaces Dan Jennings. Health & Human Services Director Hanaa Hamdi, a professor at UMDNJ replaces Tanya Williamson. Newark Fire Director James Stewart stays in. Fire Department Director of Personnel Keisha Daniels stays in, also. Newark Director of Communications Sakina Cole, replaces Esmeralda Diaz Cameron. Corporation Counsel Karen Brown, replaces Anna Pereira The city's other top director positions have not yet been filled as yet most directors have been moved to “acting” status. Many applications have come in as far as the deep south. The Baraka recruitment committee is said to have given Baraka 3 top candidates in each position from which Baraka chooses. It is reported to be quite a extensive interview process. WEDDING & EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY STARING AT: Metro Christian Media

According to Ephesians 4:7 all believers have received aspects of the fivefold ministry giftings. A characteristic of the apostolic spirit is the living reality that the Church is sent on a mission. There is a sense of purpose and destiny that results from the apostolic spirit: a focus on fulfilling a divine commission. When the Church loses this dimension, it loses its sense of divine purpose and mission. Apostles have the anointing to release and stir up the apostolic anointing through teaching, preaching, prophesying and the laying on of hands. This is called “activation”. When saints become aware of, and begin to walk in this dimension of the Spirit, they will manifest the power, authority and characteristics of a sent one becoming an Apostolic Church.
Apostle Frank Dupree is the senior pastor of Living Waters Church in North Arlington and the Founder of the Metro Apostolic Network. If you look at the Church in the Book of Acts you will see it was first and foremost an Apostolic Church. The early Church understood that they were essentially all “sent ones”. They knew that they were authorized to carry out this mission. We are here now to help fulfill the Great Commission today! That’s what makes us an Apostolic Church!

Don't Forget to Teach
How To Get People To Treat You Better! If you aren't happy with the way others treat you, it may have something to do with you. One Motivational speaker says "You teach people how to treat you by what you allow, what you stop, and what you reinforce." There are some real obnoxious people in the world, and they’ll always exist—but you might be surprised how many people back off when you stand up for yourself. Moat people might not even realize that they treat others badly. Remember this... its important —You reinforce behavior by how you act towards others. It's the golden rule again: So lead by example.
Business Transformation Get Ahead By Going To Bed! 1. Sleep Keeps Us Sharp 2. Sleep Improves Our Ability To Remember, Learn, and Grow. 3. Sleep refreshes Our Emotional State 4. Sleep Revitalizes Our Bodies The Bottom line: Instead of thinking of sleep as self-indulgence, we need to think of it as selfimprovement. There’s nothing wrong with doing more with less, but if we’re not smart about it, we can really hurt our productivity and even our health. It hardly matters what the short term gains are if we try making that our norm. If we want to get ahead, we need to go to bed.
Ministry Transformation "Doing The Deed" by Dr. Martha Simmons On my recent trip to the Hampton University Minister’s Conference curiosity lead me to sit in on a class on sermon preparation... I ended up taking all six classes! What I learned from Martha Simmons not only changed my view on the power and importance of “good” preaching but it has taken my sermons and my studies to a “Hampton” level of biblical exposition. If you’ve been called to preach, The "Doing The Deed" workbook is a must have in your library. It will transform your preaching ministry. Pastor Rick
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20 As believer's in the body of Christ one of the things we are called to do. One of the thing we are commanded to do by Jesus Christ Himself. Is to go into all the world and teach all nations. We are told to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, and we have been given orders to teach them to obey all the things that our Lord has commanded us to obey.
Minister Curtis D. Mincey is an anointed preacher of God's word and a founding member of Metro Christian Media Ministries: The Church At Newark

That means that we as believer's have to be willing to form a relationship with those that we would preach to. We have to be willing to sacrifice our time and energy and pour what we know into another person. The thing to realize is this. Teaching new disciples isn't just a matter of conducting a few classes on new discipleship, awarding students with a certificate and abandoning them in the wilderness of life. But in most instances it does mean being able to have a long term one on one relationship with an individual; and lovingly instructing them on the fundamentals of christianity.
We have to be committed to teaching the truth and nothing but the truth. We have to teach sound doctrine and sound theology. We have to teach what the true message of the gospel really is. We have to teach new believers about the true nature of sin, the holiness of God and the meaning of true repentance. We have to be willing to teach about God's love for the world and His hatred of sin. We have to be willing to teach the whole counsel of God so that He gets the glory, honor and the praise. We just have to be willing to teach.

The truth is, more marriages end in divorce these days than stay intact for life. We have to be sure, that who we’re committing our life to is the one that we can spend the rest of our life with. Believe it or not more people divorce than stay married. I am convinced that this is simply because the person that was chosen, was the wrong person in the beginning. Here’s how you can tell that you may have found Mr. or Miss Right!

4 Characteristics of “The Right” Loving Relationship 1. You are best friends. Your friendship is not only the foundation of your relationship but it is also the glue which keeps it together. You have to "connect" physically, socially, relationally, and this will lead to the two of you having a great sexual connection. However, at the end of the day when all of the activity is done; you should be trilled just to be sitting on the sofa and watching TV together. In that moment you will know that nothing else matters but the fact that the two of you are together! Make sure you’re best friends; it is a prerequisite for a loving lasting marriage 2. You agree spiritually. This is major. Paul tells us in 2nd Corinthians 6 that we are not to be unequally yoked. life's priorities, temptations, challenges, and struggles will come into any relationship, let alone one that's not bound together spiritually. And when the storms of a marriage relationship come, it’s important that you agree on who can help fix it. Many marriages end because people didn’t get this right. Be careful.
3. You totally trust them The most important aspect of any relationship is trust; Along with that goes communication. If you find yourself doubting your trust for your boyfriend or girlfriend, don’t take the next step just yet. Be sure you can trust them 100-percent with your time, SPECIALIZING IN your stuff, their actions, and their words. If not, then HAIRCUTTING work on it until you do.

4. You don't think about anyone else If you still think about who else is out there or if it could still work with an EX, don’t get married. You must be committed to the one you are with now, otherwise you are destined to fail, even before you get started. Be sure he or she is the right one for you … no one else!
