Inspiration Guide Maarten Everaerts // 3 Com G issuu.com/meveraer/docs/swipe_file
In this inspiration guide... You can find pictures, snippets of texts, stuff I used for inspiration and quotes that make you think. It is meant to give an insight in my mind. But most of all I enjoyed putting it together. There are no sources listed because I ripped everything of the internet without remembering where I got it. Basically... I’m a pirate.
You will be judged (or you will be ignored) Those are pretty much the only two choices. Being judged is uncomfortable. Snap judgments, prejudices, misinformation... all of these, combined with not enough time (how could there be) to truly know you, means that you will inevitably be misjudged, underestimated (or overestimated) and unfairly rejected. The alternative, of course, is much safer. To be ignored. Up to you. - Seth Godin
Lower your standards, you will be judged anyway.
The Flow
The Flow Whenever I’m writing something I need to find my flow of creativity. It’s the feeling you get when you’re working on something and suddenly it is dark outside. I also experience it when I’m riding a wave or a mountain. Tapping in those memories almost always gets me going.
The first text I handed in was a text by Jack O’Neill (indeed, the founder of the ‘O’Neill’ brand. His three paragraphs could be summarized in this simple quote.
Out and about I found this picture while wandering on the internet. It’s what I do when I need inspiration. I just go out. Simple as that. I plug in some music and wander around the city. I found some pretty interesting places doing that. Small parks hidden between buildings, little cozy squares, graffiti artworks,...
Comedy I got inspired by stand up comedians to write my column (the assingment that I liked to do the most). If you find the time you should definitely look up Jim Jefferies, Bill Hicks, George Carlin & Donald Glover.
