Quality control Checks. –› Modulus of elasticity = 30-40 MPa.
Performance Measurements Topographical levelling at six double points during the first 3 years. –› maximum settlements of 1 to 2 cm.
Extensive repair areas.
Flaws/damage Type: depressions, cracks in the road surface. Time: no data. Visual appraisal as of 05.06.2004 Deformations lengthways: - a number of clearly visible depressions of up to around 5 cm crossways: - a number of small depressions, potholes around 1-3 cm deep - grooves in front of the traffic light very clear, around 3-5 cm - 5 cm application of asphalt, visible at drain inlet Transitional/contact areas Numerous cracks, transition not clearly detectable. Road surface Numerous cracks, mostly lengthways; Many shallow asphalt replacements.
Maintenance work Probably frequent and extensive.
Appraisal/Experiences Road probably too low over Leca® fill for the heavy load selected; Possibly shoddy work during application and compaction of the Leca®.
Cracks predominantly lengthways.
