Reshoring is Surging Nationally. How Your Company and Wisconsin Can Benefit.

Presented by: Harry Moser, President, Reshoring Initiative

For decades, we lost 10,000s of business and millions of jobs to offshoring. It is now clear that shorter supply chains are lower risk and are more profitable for OEMs for 20 to 30% of products that are now imported. Find how to benefit from the trend. Takeaways include: • How to identify the products most eligible to reshore • How to quantify the costs and risks of offshoring • What Wisconsin could do to accelerate the trend • Why companies reshore • How to convince companies to reshore and buy from you Harry Moser: Founder of the Reshoring Initiative after being president of machine tool maker GF Machining Solutions for 22 years. Awards include: Industry Week’s Manufacturing Hall of Fame, SPE’s Mold Designer of the Year and Fab Shop Direct’s Manufacturer of the Year. Participated actively in President Obama’s 2012 Insourcing Forum at the White House. Member of the Department of Commerce Investment Advisory Council. Manufacturing Your Future

Presented by: Terry Iverson, President & CEO, Iverson & Company

A platform will be outlined on how to move manufacturing forward and demonstrate how the industry is the foundation of our American economy and offers exhilarating, good-paying career choices. It will also focus on getting students involved in manufacturing, excited about manufacturing and employed by manufacturing. Terry Iverson: In 1980 I started working for my family’s machine tool distributorship. I have the awesome opportunity to work with and sell machine tool solutions to some of the most advanced manufacturers in the country. Over the last 40 years I have learned a great deal about the current state of lack of skilled workers in the machining and manufacturing world. This led me to get involved in technical education for over 25 years. Terry is a successful published author, including his most recent book “Finding America’s Greatest Champion”. Terry also founded Champion Now® believing there was a critical need for a comprehensive marketing program promoting manufacturing. A concise perception game changer in his words. Change How Advanced Manufacturing’s Perceived In Our Nation - Yes the longest acronym in a world of many. He believes we need to put a positive spin on what many people think to be a dark, dingy and depressing career sector. Instead, there lies a world full of high technology, computerization and automation. One that desperately requites decision makers, problem solvers and the most innovative minds. Manufacturing prominence needs a whole new persona. The general public needs to view it as the valuable asset that it is, rather than the liability that people perceive it to be.
