GAME ON!!!
At Miami Country Day School’s Chess Camp, campers will improve their chess game through direct instruction from a FIDE International Grandmaster and by competing with other serious chess players. Varied instructional techniques and physical activity sessions make for a fun and exciting chess camp experience!

CAMP ACTIVITIES
• Five hours of chess instruction each day from a Grandmaster and other noted players • A Grandmaster Simultaneous game, Blitz Tournament, Bughouse event • An appreciation of chess history & culture • Building an opening repertoire for white & black • Understanding Middle Game Strategy and forming a plan • Basic endgames and tactics • Daily fun and exciting side events and physical activity periods
CAMP DETAILS
Daily lunch, camp shirt, and a certificate of completion will be provided. Before and after camp care available for campers under 14. This camp is eligible to be combined with academic courses through our Summer Studies Program. Cost: $450/week
