Your Support Changes Lives Everyday!

Blessings to Our Wonderful Friends and Supporters Dear Friend of the Hungry and Homeless, Each and every day we are shown the beauty of life and the promise of a new day with an amazing sunrise. As Spring comes and goes, we are shown new beginnings and the blooming of nature in our day to day lives. However, each season is one of struggle and hopelessness for those men, women and children who are homeless. Hours become days, days become weeks and weeks become months before so many can receive the help they so desperately search for. Thankfully, those in the greatest of need have the strongest ally in the world, YOU! With your compassion, your generosity and your support, those long, hot Summer days can truly become the Summer of Hope in 2012. We will be able to transform more lives than ever as we stand together against homelessness in our community. There are thousands of lives crying out for help on our streets throughout South Florida, be the hand that lifts them up when they are in the greatest of need. Thank you for being a compassionate supporter, I always say our supporters are the greatest people in the world!

Blessings, Rev. Ronald Brummitt, President

Gigantic Birthday Party

or the homeless and needy, birthdays are not a special day filled with trips to a favorite restaurant or movie; rather they begin and end like every other day... searching for food, hoping for shelter and struggling to survive. With the help of countless volunteers, donors and supporters, the Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers are able to host the Gigantic Birthday Party each year for over 1,000 homeless and needy individuals who may have missed out on their birthday or have never celebrated a birthday at all.

Finding Shelter, Finding Happiness

R

eplentha came to the Miami Rescue Mission five months ago after a family crisis left her homeless and depressed. With nowhere to go, she resorted to sleeping outside with her son and daughter. “I didn’t care about anything, bettering myself or doing much with my life. When we became homeless it was frightening, I was so scared...”

“When we became homeless it was frightening, I was so scared...”

The sudden strike of homelessness in Replentha’s life was frightening to her and her children but also served as a wake up call to her life and her well-being.

Since coming into the Miami Rescue Mission, Replentha has been able to find herself and become closer to God. A graduate of the women’s discipleship program, Replentha is happier than ever and proud to call herself Mom. “My children are able to depend on me more. I know their lives will be forever changed because of the Miami Rescue Mission and the life-saving help I have been able to receive.” “This is the place where our dreams came true and I was able to regain a future. It is all thanks to those who support the Miami Rescue Mission!” Thank You for helping the least, the last and the lost
