On a Personal Note
Dear Friends & Clients,
I initially drafted my August newsletter just prior to Hurricane Debby impacting our area with record rainfall and flooding... the focus of my On A Personal Note was all the great things to do in Sarasota during the summer...while that message is still important and you’ll find it below, I also needed to update the Note to include a message of support to all those impacted by Debby...sending positive thoughts to anyone who has been affected...please reach out to me if I can help in any way.
Summer in SRQ is terrific! Yes it’s hot and late afternoon rains are frequent but let’s look on the bright side and focus on how wonderful Sarasota is 12 months a year.
Here are some of my favorite things about living here full time and enjoying during the summer:
• Enjoy daily walks over the Ringling Bridge and other great spots to take in a beautiful sunrise. Selby Garden has been recently named by Time Magazine
as One of the Worlds Greatest Places https://time.com/6992344/marie-selbybotanical-gardens/
• Head to the Beach, walk on our world class sand, and swim in the spectacular Gulf of Mexico!
• Go to favorite restaurants or try a new one, reservations not necessary (but always best to make one).-Take advantage of summer sales and Savor Sarasota https://www.visitsarasota. com/savor-sarasota
• Plan play dates with my grandkids - Ruby had a great time on a recent UTC Mall afternoon which included the indoor playground, finding a new bathing suit, first professional manicure, lunch at Cheesecake Factory, topped off with a waffle cone at Cold Stone!
• Saturday breakfast at C’Est La Vie in downtown SRQ, a favorite weekly tradition of mine. Enjoy the cool inside tables. Now open in Lakewood Ranch!
• Support our local vendors at the Saturday Downtown Sarasota Farmer’s market or Sunday Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market... they are both terrific!
• Go to the Circus... I must admit I haven’t done this for many years but I will.
• Daniel adds: playing late afternoon golf when the days are light until 8:00 pm.
Prepare for a busy season! If you are considering selling your home in 2024/2025 now is the time to meet or schedule a time with me and get your property ready for listing.
Hope you are enjoying your summer, no matter where you are!

Spotlight: Buyer Representation
What Sets Us Apart!
Purchasing a home is one of life’s most rewarding experiences, as well as a significant financial investment, which is why having an experienced and knowledgeable agent by your side is crucial. In your buying consultation, your MSC agent will review the required Buyer Broker Agreement with you. This document highlights the services that will be provided to you, establishing compensation and transparency from the onset. The expertise and value a real estate agent brings to your transaction, as well as the numerous complex and intricate tasks they perform, are reflected in the fee for their services. When you work with a Michael Saunders & Company agent, you get a committed partner who will guide you through the homebuying experience, keeping your best interests at the forefront.
