The ASRC—CPU is housed at the third floor of the Henry Luce III Library. Its materials are of primary interest to university students and faculty, professionals & businessmen. Interested users outside CPU are welcome to utilize the resources of the Center, for free of charge. The materials are intended for use on the ASRC premises. However, some limited circulation may be possible.

ASRC—CPU was formally opened and inaugurated on February 11, 1985 by Mr. Herward Morton, Director, USIS and Counselor of Embassy for Public Affairs. It is designed to make available to a wide range of people reference books, periodicals, DVDs, tapes and other materials for use in American Studies courses and in courses with Ameriacn content and to those interested in American Studies - American culture, institutions and society. It may also serve as the venue for seminars in American Studies , and as a focal point at which visitors may spend time in campus with students and faculty—Fullbright and ast West Center lecturers, Asia Foundation experts and other American Studies. These services are available, free of charge, to the faculty and students of the University, to other schools in the region and professional and businessmen and other community leaders.
