80’s toy box Nothing initiates a conversation better than nostalgia, and what is more nostalgic than the memories of childhood toys? This concept aims to hit home with the target audience of female 29 year olds by giving them a blast from the past and forcing them to reminice on their childhood and the simple objects that gave them hours of pleasure and entertainment.

The toys that have been chosen were hugely popular throughout the 80’s and therefore would not just relate to certain individuals but are more likely to excite entire peer groups who grew up playing with these toys, which are now unfortunately a distant memory... but not for much longer.

tiled pattern Having collated the individual illustrations into a block of 80’s toy nostalgia, My intention was to link the tiled pattern by incorporating a 80’s style ‘confeti’ like pattern which you may recognise from typical 80’s design. This is there to reinforce the 80’s theme.
colour palette To fit the 80’s theme while also remaining feminie (but not girly) the colour scheme had to support both of these important elements. Therefore I actually based the colour palette on a typical 80’s female track suit which you can see below.
