veryone can see the huge transformations that current and future changes in the climate are capable of wreaking.

The model for economic development based on the reckless exploitation of resources from the earth, the air and the water can no longer continue to function. Everyone wants to know more, to understand, exchange ideas, spread awareness about everything to do with the natural world. Very few people will know that another important element is constituted by the currents that cross the Straits of Gibraltar and circulate towards the western part of the Mediterranean and are exploited by tuna, swordfish and cetaceans, attracted to our Ligurian Sea by the abundance of food, in particular by the so-called Santa Margherita scampi and prawns. The principal threats that are putting species, habitats and entire ecosystems at risk, are urbanization, the growing expansion of tourism and the removal of fishing resources characterized by overfishing and a lack of eco compatible methods. Let’s fall in line then and keep the Ligurian Sea and its beaches like the one at Paraggi for example, in third place in the top ten of the best beaches on the Levant’s Ligurian coast.

A unique place, an indestructible myth, which in spite of everything lies along one of the most beautiful roads in the world. From the pages of our magazine, we offer all the “reinforcements” possible.

2. REDUCE THE CARBON FOOTPRINT Carbon dioxide, a well-known greenhouse gas, is raising the acidity of our oceans. This is contributing to the loss of coral on a global scale as their calcium skeletons are weakened by the rising level of acidity in the water.

You can reduce your carbon footprint by adopting some of these simple measures: • Cycling, walking or using public transport rather than driving a car.

• Turn off the lights when you leave a room.

• Wear a jumper in winter rather than turning up the heating.

• Have fun with your diet – buy fresh sustainably caught seafood. It is a renewable resource that only needs a very small amount of fresh water to produce and creates less carbon dioxide than does land-based protein such as beef.

4. EAT SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD Choose seafood that is healthy for you and for the oceans, that comes from properly managed and line fishing. 1. ASK FOR ALTERNATIVES TO PLASTIC The oceans are faced with a huge threat.

It is estimated that every year 17,6 million pounds of plastic floating in the marine environment comes from sources on land.

It is the equivalent roughly of emptying one refuse lorry full of plastic into the ocean every minute. And plastic never goes away!

We must encourage companies to supply their customers with alternatives to plastic and say no to single-use plastics such as drinking straws, plastic cutlery, balloons, plastic wrapping and plastic food packaging.

3. AVOID PRODUCTS HARMFUL TO THE OCEAN There are many products directly linked to species threatened with extinction or at risk, unsustainable fishing practices and pollution.

For example, avoid using cosmetics that use shark squalene, coral jewellery, or tortoiseshell, souvenir shells like nautilus and other animals and single-use plastic like drinking straws and plastic bottles that can end up in our oceans. These products support unsustainable fishing and threaten vital species and ecosystems.

5. VOTE FOR QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE OCEANS Electing public officials who support good ocean policies can help us to protect marine life and our oceans. Do your background research on candidates and make an informed decision, then exercise your right (and responsibility) to vote. Don’t let election day be the last time your voice is heard. Continue to follow up on the candidates and elected officials to remind them of the policies you are interested in.

Mettiamoci in riga quindi e manteniamo il Mar Ligure e le sue spiagge come Paraggi ad esempio, al terzo posto nella top ten delle migliori spiagge della costa ligure di Levante.

1. RICHIEDI ALTERNATIVE SENZA PLASTICA Gli oceani affrontano una minaccia enorme e crescente da parte della plastica . Si stima che ogni anno 17,6 miliardi di libbre di perdite di plastica nell’ambiente marino provengano da fonti terrestri, il che equivale all’incirca a scaricare un camion della spazzatura pieno di plastica nei nostri oceani ogni minuto . E la plastica non va mai via!

Dobbiamo sollecitare le aziende a fornire ai consumatori alternative senza plastica e dire di no alla plastica monouso come cannucce, posate di plastica, tazze da caffè, bottiglie d’acqua, sacchetti di plastica, palloncini, prodotti confezionati in plastica e contenitori per alimenti da asporto.

2. RIDURRE L’IMPRONTA DI CARBONIO L’anidride carbonica, un noto gas serra, sta rendendo i nostri oceani più acidi. Ciò sta contribuendo alla perdita di coralli su scala globale poiché i loro scheletri di calcio sono indeboliti dalla crescente acidità dell’acqua.

Puoi ridurre la tua impronta di carbonio adottando alcune di queste semplici misure: • Andare in bicicletta, camminare o utilizzare i mezzi pubblici anziché guidare un’auto.

• Spegni le luci quando lasci una stanza.

• Indossa un maglione in inverno invece di alzare il termostato.

• Divertiti con la tua dieta - acquista frutti di mare selvatici catturati in modo sostenibile. È una risorsa rinnovabile che richiede una quantità minima di acqua dolce per produrre ed emette meno anidride carbonica rispetto alle proteine terrestri come la carne bovina.

3. EVITARE PRODOTTI DANNOSI PER L’OCEANO Esistono molti prodotti direttamente collegati a specie minacciate di estinzione o minacciate, metodi di pesca insostenibili e inquinamento. Ad esempio, evita i cosmetici che contengono squalene di squalo, gioielli fatti di corallo o guscio di tartaruga marina, gusci di souvenir di conchiglie, nautilus e altri animali e materie plastiche monouso come cannucce e bottiglie d’acqua che possono finire nei nostri oceani. • Fare riferimento a questi migliori chef per ricette di pesce sostenibili • Valuta di aggiungere piccoli pesci grassi che sono ricchi di proteine alla tua dieta.

5. VOTA LE QUESTIONI RELATIVE AGLI OCEANI Eleggere funzionari pubblici che supportano le buone politiche oceaniche può aiutarci a proteggere la vita marina e i nostri oceani.

Fai le tue ricerche sui candidati e prendi una decisione informata, quindi esercita il tuo diritto (e responsabilità) di votare. E non lasciare che il giorno delle elezioni sia l’ultima volta che ti sentono.

Segui regolarmente i candidati e i funzionari eletti per ricordare loro le politiche che ti interessano.

6. CONTATTA I TUOI RAPPRESENTANTI E LEGISLATORI I vostri rappresentanti e legislatori potrebbero non sapere quanto siano importanti questi problemi per i nostri oceani. Ma lo faranno se glielo dici. Spetta a elettori come te rendere consapevoli i legislatori delle crisi che affrontano la vita marina e i nostri oceani.

Non essere timido! Agire con Oceana per contattare direttamente i rappresentanti del governo e i legislatori.

7. ESPLORA GLI OCEANI “Le persone proteggono ciò che amano.” - Jacques-Yves Cousteau Esci ed esplora gli oceani intorno a te! Se non vivi vicino all’oceano, visita il tuo lago o fiume locale per scoprire come il tuo spartiacque si collega all’oceano. Ci sono anche molte opportunità online per esplorare gli oceani. 8. NON LASCIARE NULLA ALLE SPALLE Con l’aumentare della folla sulla spiaggia, aumenta anche la quantità di rifiuti lasciati indietro o spazzati via. Non lasciare che la tua giornata fuori contribuisca alla distruzione dei nostri oceani. Ricorda di non lasciare altro che le tue impronte: raccogli e smaltisci la spazzatura.

ranco Loro Piana is the co-founder, together with his brother Giacomo, of SEASE a brand which since its debut has distinguished itself for the sobriety and refinement of its practical and functional clothing. SEASE, as the name suggests, was created for the sea, but not only for that; it is love for the sea that inspires most of the collections. A love which as SEASE likes to put it, “comes from the inside, it is something that we own from the day we are born.”

“A great adventure always starts with 6 items of clothing in one bag” ... as you say. Which are the six indispensable garments for a beautiful sea adventure?

And which items could you never be without?

The idea of a brand dedicated to outdoor passions actually comes from our own experience of the sea and mountains–in particular sailing and skiing. SEASE was conceived as a Contemporary Wardrobe: a combination of innovative tailoring and technology for the city and movement,

helped by fabrics and performance conceived for outdoor activities.

Speaking of indispensable garments, with SEASE we have carried out a true exercise of synthesis: for sailing I immediately think of the Spray Top High Pressure, technical in detail and design and perfect on land as well; we made it in the new Solaro fabric –SUNRISE, in wool and bio-based nylon: a re-engineered version of a classic masculine garment combining performance and elegance. In shimmering tones, it returns in the gilet and in iconic SEASE items like the George Jacket, conceived during the design phase for sailing and, once again, perfect for outdoor activities and going about the city. I would add the Cargo Short, with its practical pockets and underpinning and knitwear in noble and natural fibres, like the Dinghy in cashmere. Among the accessories, the collaboration SEBAGO x SEASE with Docksides in Solaro SUNRISE continues the same mood. The total look in Sunrise expresses the dialogue between tradition and innovation and unites the latest generation Solaro (wool and bionylon based, sourced from plants) with the comfort of active design.

Speaking for myself, I tend to try to hang on to the clothes I am fond of for as long

as possible, together with the memories and experiences they embody: for this reason we wanted there to be in SEASE a quality derived from natural raw materials, highly engineered, attention to detail and strictly Italian manufacturing.

SEASE, an intelligent combination of active and sportswear, also to be used in the town…How did this idea come about? Perhaps also from your personal demands as sportsmen who don’t want to give up on looking “cool”?

SEASE integrates technology and natural materials for clothing and accessories that are very adaptable. They have been created for wide-ranging and dynamic use, in answer to a dynamic lifestyle and compose a wardrobe that is at the same time, essential and complete, from bathing suits to town clothing. “Time to escape”, the short film seen on your website sease.it, narrates very well this need for contact with the sea and with nature…you have a SEASE SAILING TEAM. Are its members sportsmen who love sailing or professional yachtsmen?

SEASE was created from the encounter years ago with a team of sailing enthusiasts: it gathers the experiences had at sea in years of friendship and relationships in direct contact with nature. The rapport with the sea is a passion, a way to let go of the constraints of city life. The concept of Time to Escape comes from this, and the concept of SEASE. Upon entering your shop in Milan, you feel as though you’ve just gone into a home, with objects and accessories as an ideal backdrop for the collections. How would you define the SEASE concept?

What age range are you speaking to?

The SEASE concept is a lifestyle concept, which more than an actual age refers to a world shared: activities values, inspirations, the aesthetic of adaptable items for the town and free time. The shop in Milan, but also the resort boutiques–today these are: Porto Cervo, San Moritz and Saint Tropez, reference this lifestyle, with a clothing selection, accessories and also music and books that give the idea of SEASE. To define an age is perhaps difficult, I would speak about a mature customer: aware of the importance of defending personal spaces, and prepared for a quality product with strong innovative features, as well as being respectful of nature.

SEASE is a relatively young brand, it will soon be two years since we have been on the market with our Milan boutique in Brera. Without a doubt, the aim is to consolidate the brand’s e-commerce sease. it by opening our American market in the autumn, and support the development of the brand through e-commerce platforms such as Mr Porter and Moda Operandi, but also in physical spaces in towns that resemble the brand, as is the case for the resort towns in Switzerland, but also in the United States for example.

Portofino has been the inspiration for at least one of these garments, could it perhaps be an iconic staple of the collections?

Portofino is one of our favourite places: although no garment has borrowed its name for the moment, there is a lot of its unforgettable atmosphere in each item of SEASE clothing.

L’idea di un brand dedicato alle passioni outdoor nasce proprio dalla nostra esperienza tra mare e montagna - in particolare, tra vela e sci. SEASE è pensato come un Guardaroba Contemporaneo: una contaminazione tra sartoria innovativa e tecnologica per la città e il movimento, con la complicità di materiali e performance pensati per l’outdoor. In tema di capi irrinunciabili, con SEASE, abbiamo fatto un vero esercizio di sintesi: per la vela penso immediatamente allo Spray Top High Pressure, tecnico nei dettagli e nel design e al tempo stesso perfetto anche a terra; lo abbiamo realizzato con un innovativo tessuto Solaro, il SUNRISE, in lana e nylon bio-based: una versione re-ingegnerizzata di un classico maschile, abbina performance e eleganza. SEASE nasce dall’incontro nel tempo di una squadra di appassionati di vela: raccoglie le esperienze sviluppate in mare in anni di conoscenza e amicizia a stretto contatto con la natura.

Il rapporto con il mare è una passione, un modo per mollare gli ormeggi dalla vita in città. Da questo nasce infatti il concetto di Time to Escape, e il concetto di SEASE. Quando si entra nella vostra boutique a Milano si ha l’impressione di entrare in una casa, oggetti e accessori come sfondo ideale alle collezioni. Come definiresti il concept SEASE? A quale fascia di età si rivolge?

Il concept di SEASE è un concept lifestyle, che più che a una vera e propria età fa riferimento a un mondo condiviso di attività, valori, ispirazioni, all’estetica di capi trasversali per città e tempo libero. Il negozio di Milano, ma anche quelli resort – a oggi, Porto Cervo, Sankt Moritz e Saint Tropez fanno riferimento a questo lifestyle, con una selezione di abbigliamento, accessori ma anche musica e libri che riportano all’idea di SEASE. Definire un’età è forse difficile, parlerei piuttosto di un consumatore maturo: consapevole dell’importanza di difendere i propri spazi, è preparato a un prodotto di qualità con forti componenti di innovazione, al tempo stesso rispettoso della natura.

Quali sono i progetti per il prossimo futuro?

SEASE è un marchio relativamente giovane, siamo sul mercato con il negozio di Milano, Brera da due anni a breve. Senz’altro, l’obiettivo è consolidare l’e-commerce proprietario sease.it con l’apertura al mercato americano in autunno, e sostenere lo sviluppo del marchio attraverso piattaforme di e-commerce come Mr Porter e Moda Operandi, ma anche in superfici fisiche in località vicine al brand come nel caso delle località resort in Svizzera, ma anche negli Stati Uniti ad esempio.

Come comunicate il brand a potenziali clienti e dove è possibile acquistare SEASE? Abbiamo attivato una rete di portavoce, dal velista Dario Noseda a amici del brand come Davide Carrera, e sviluppiamo delle experience outdoor per coinvolgerli, testare il prodotto e ambientarlo in location esterne di impatto.

Al momento, SEASE è in vendita nei negozi mono-marca di Milano, Sankt Moritz, Porto Cervo e Saint Tropez, sul sito sease. it, in e-commerce e negozi selezionati in Europa e nel mondo.

Portofino ha ispirato almeno uno di questi capi, magari un modello iconico e continuativo?

Portofino è una delle nostre mete del cuore: anche se al momento nessun capo ne prende in prestito il nome, c’è senz’altro molto delle sue indimenticabili atmosfere in ognuno dei capi SEASE.

meeting with Marco Bucci, Mayor of Genoa. A modern and sporty man, in love with his city and the people of Genoa and with its sea with its powerful pull …: “Not a week goes by that I don’t go out to sea...”

The yachting industry has grown in 2018 for the fourth year running. An increase in turnover of 9.5% compared to 2013 –a year that suffered greatly from the economic crisis that began in 2008. Against this backdrop, the 59th edition of the Genoa Boat Show is about to open. The trade fair is without equal in the world: 100,000 square metres at sea and the same area again on land, all areas where it is possible to get admire yachts and superyachts close up. Portofino magazine met with Marco Bucci, Mayor of the metropolitan city of Genoa.

Mr Mayor, in a few days you will inaugurate the 59th edition of the Genoa Boat Show in a city whose centuries-old links with the sea are not only due to its geographic position.Cristopher Columbus’ birthplace, Genoa, is a unique crossroads of peoples and different cultures... The Show about to start is open to the world, to different cultures and to a well-informed and demanding international public. Is your city ready to welcome it?

Of course. Genoa can be defined as the capital city of sailing. We have the oldest Yacht Club in Italy and the Mediterranean.

It is a city where sailing has really evolved; in particular in the last two years since we were appointed to lead the city. Our strategy will be to invest heavily in sailing so that it becomes fundamental for the city and for the region. The Boat Show is an example of this. It is a show that has always been held in Genoa: every one of the 59 editions.

I like to say that we are the same age... I remember that I visited it as a child, you see extraordinary things, innovations... Today, it is an important event for the city. We also have a wide program of special events outside the Show allowing visitors and tourists to enjoy not only the show but also the city itself.

The Boat Show is also a window onto Genoa, an opportunity to communicate the city and its facilities. Will there be extra transport and links available during the days of the show?

Most definitely. There is a lot of choice.

Not just links and transport but also cultural activities and places to eat.

Genoa has always projected an image of togetherness and involvements from its citizens in important moments, whether extraordinary emergencies, or instead, as is the case here, linked to an event. This is a great occasion to recruit young people.

Has the town council thought about paid collaboration for them?

Since when I was a young student myself, to do the three weeks of the Boat Show meant you could manage your finances for the months ahead. This opportunity is not only provided by the Boat Show but also by the Genoa Trade Show organisation and its many activities. We definitely want the Boat Show to represent an opportunity for our young people to collaborate.

As well as the program of fringe activities around the Boat Show, have you thought about giving those visitors wishing to prolong their stay for a few days, any special opportunities for guided tours? Or perhaps suggestions so they don’t miss out on the best of the city or the area?

We do have, for example, a program of visits to the Palazzi dei Rolli, the historic palaces and an area concerning all the architecture and art which in Genoa is a bit hidden away and not easy to identify… You see we Genoese are rather introverted. I don’t know if you know this, but all those who are not born in Genoa are called foresti [foreigners Ed], the name says it all...But if you go a little deeper, you do find people who want to have relationships.

Throughout history the city has had a relationship with the sea, and those living by the sea, are, by definition, used to both leaving it and to welcoming those who arrive.

Petrarch wrote that “upon arrival in Genoa you will find a regal city, with alpine hills at its back, “superb” for its people and its buildings… its appearance indicates it to be “queen of the sea”. In fact, as you arrive and come into the port, just in the old port itself you can see the characteristic feature of this city: a city that rises towards the hills in a unique setting where you feel like you are a part of the city. A wonderful sight. I say to all tourist who arrive in Genoa on cruise ships and ferries…pay attention when you enter Genoa because you will see a sight that will stir your heart.

law was introduced in September so that, in line with other cities, by 2025 all traffic will be restricted to zones organized in “arches” radiating from the old town centre. Again, in September, we launched an initiative, earmarking 400 Euro to buy electric bicycles and motorbikes. Then, as well as waste recycling, the cleanliness of the sea is our priority and something we are proud of. We have nine water purification systems in the city, nothing is discharged directly into the sea but instead directly into the water purification systems and the improvement in the water is a clear and tangible one. We have clean waters and the highest number of blue-flags.

Have you had any thoughts about creating joint initiatives with the neighbouring towns which have always been considered as having great appeal, such as Camogli and Portofino..?

Certainly. Boats are available leaving from the port of Genoa to go to Camogli and Portofino, for example. It is possible to attend the Boat Show during the day and then to go to Portofino in the evening for dinner…It is a very popular service. Even though I myself, have the experience of coming to Genoa from Camogli by night – a memory that lasts all your life.

Has your previous professional experience as manager of a big multinational been of help to you in dealing with the demands of a city which is, in a certain sense, like a big company?

Thank you. This is a definition that deserves to be emphasized. When I speak with politicians, they don’t believe it, but a city is, in fact, really a big company but with something more.

It often has to be managed using the same mechanisms as in a big company. We need however, to be able to act simultaneously on various fronts to manage characteristics that are typical of the public but not of the private sector. The basics are the same. This means that we manage a group of human beings, men and women, with a clear objective. Whereas in a company the objective is to make profit, the objective for a city is to improve and elevate the quality of life.

And you yourself enjoy sailing Mr Mayor…

Speaking of quality of life, how is Genoa dealing with the theme of sustainability?

Firstly, by 2025, all local public transport will no longer be powered by fossil fuels. A by-

What are the next official council events lined up in the Mayor’s diary?

We have tens of council events every day. At the moment our priority is the inauguration of the “bridge”. The city desperately needs the bridge, everyone needs the bridge. It is an iconic symbol and proof that Italy can achieve something beautiful, overcoming great challenges, in the correct time and at the correct cost. I am giving a lot of attention to the investments in infrastructure for the city which must go ahead. One of them is public transport: the new over-ground lightrail system which will make moving around the city easy. We must make economic investment in businesses. We need to bring companies to Genoa. We need to invest in real estate. The third railway mountain crossing will bring enormous benefits, we will then be only 45 minutes by train from Milan. This will allow us to live at the seaside and also work in Milan…or to have a business at the seaside and to live in Milan. It will bring balance to the Genoa property market.

GENOVA, la superba

e bella regina del mare.

colloquio con Marco Bucci, Sindaco di Genova. Un uomo moderno, sportivo e innamorato della sua città e dei genovesi, del suo mare che esercita su di lui un forte richiamo: “non c’è settimana in cui non esca in mare...” Nel 2018 l’Industria Nautica é cresciuta per il quarto anno consecutivo.

Un fatturato in incremento del 9,5% rispetto al 2013, anno fortemente segnato da una crisi iniziata nel 2008. Con queste premesse si aprirà la 59ma edizione del Salone Nautico di Genova, una Manifestazione unica al mondo: 100 mila metri quadrati di spazi a mare e altrettanti a terra. Spazi dove ammirare direttamente Yacht e Superyacht. Portofino magazine ha incontrato Marco Bucci, Sindaco della città metropolitana di Genova.

Signor Sindaco, tra qualche giorno sarà inaugurata la 59ma edizione del Salone Nautico di Genova, una città legata alla Nautica da secoli, non soltanto per la sua posizione geografica.

La città che ha dato i natali a Cristoforo Colombo, Genova unica e crocevia di popoli e di culture diverse... Questo che si apre é un Salone aperto al mondo, a culture diverse, a un pubblico internazionale, aggiornato ed esigente. La sua città é pronta a riceverlo?

Si, certo. Possiamo definire Genova come la capitale, la città della Nautica. Abbiamo qui lo Yacht Club più antico d’Italia e del Mediterraneo. È una città dove la Nautica si è sviluppata molto bene per lo meno negli ultimi due anni, da quando siamo arrivati alla guida della città. Abbiamo l’intenzione strategica di investire molto nella Nautica per far sì che essa diventi centrale per la città e per la regione. Il Salone Nautico è un esempio, Salone che è sempre stato a Genova, per 59 edizioni, mi piace dire che ha la mia età..., mi ricordo che lo visitavo anche da bambino, si vedevano cose straordinarie, le novità... oggi è un appuntamento importante per la città. Abbiamo un programma esteso di attività anche fuori dal Salone per far sì che il visitatore e il turista sia in grado, non soltanto di apprezzare il Salone, ma anche la città.

Il Salone Nautico é anche una vetrina per Genova, opportunità per comunicare la città e i suoi servizi, saranno potenziati collegamenti e trasporti nei giorni della kermesse?

Assolutamente si. L’offerta è molto varia. Non soltanto per quanto riguarda collegamenti e trasporti ma anche per una attività culturale e di ristorazione.

Genova ha sempre dato di sé una immagine di coesione e di partecipazione dei suoi cittadini nei momenti importanti, siano essi straordinari e di emergenza o invece, come in questo caso, legati a un evento... E’ questa una bella occasione per reclutare giovani. Avete pensato come Comune a offerte di collaborazione retribuite per loro?

Sin da quando ero un giovane studente, venire a fare tre settimane al Salone Nautico rappresentava una occasione per potersi poi gestire economicamente per i mesi successivi.

Non solo una opportunità offerta da questo Salone ma che la Fiera di Genova offre attraverso le sue attività. Noi vogliamo certamente che il Salone rappresenti per i nostri giovani una opportunità di collaborazione.

Genova e i suoi Patrimoni artistici e naturali. Il mare e il suo entroterra, gli itinerari eno-gastronomici. Per i visitatori che desiderassero prolungare il loro soggiorno di qualche giorno, sono state pensate oltre a iniziative “fuori Salone”, anche opportunità speciali di visite guidate o suggerimenti per non perdere il meglio della città e del territorio?

Abbiamo ad esempio un programma per visitare i Palazzi dei Rolli, i Palazzi storici e tutta la parte che riguarda architettura e arte che a Genova è un po’ nascosta e non sempre facile da individuare... Poi noi genovesi abbiamo un carattere schivo.

Non so se sapete che tutti quelli che non sono nati a Genova, li chiamiamo foresti... già il nome dice tutto... ma poi il genovese, quando si toglie un po’ di scorza è persona che vuole avere

Marco Bucci, Sindaco di Genova relazioni, tant’è che storicamente ha sempre avuto relazione con il mare e, chi vive sul mare, è per definizione abituato ad andare via e a ricevere quelli che arrivano.

Sono previste iniziative congiunte con Comuni limitrofi di grande appeal come ad esempio, Camogli, Portofino...?

Si, ad esempio dal porto di Genova sono disponibili battelli che vanno a Camogli e a Portofino. È possibile visitare il Salone durante il giorno e poi, la sera, andare a cena a Portofino... un servizio molto utilizzato e gradito. Anche se io ho l’esperienza di venire a Genova di notte da Camogli ed è un ricordo che ti rimane tutta la vita.

Poi lei, Sindaco, va per mare...

Vi ricordate cosa diceva il Petrarca, vero? Nel 1300, non si andava in viaggio volentieri per strada, via terra ( per via di banditi, ecc...) ma si preferiva andare per mare, e si entrava a Genova dal porto. Ecco, il Petrarca scriveva che “arrivando a Genova troverete una città regale, addossata a una collina alpestre, “superba” per uomini e per mure... Il cui aspetto la indica “regina del mare”. Infatti arrivando dentro il porto, anche solo nel porto antico si vede subito la caratteristica di questa città, una città che sale verso le colline, in questo ambiente unico in cui ti senti parte della città. Uno spettacolo.

Lo dico a tutti i turisti che arrivano a Genova con le navi da crociera e con i traghetti... Fate attenzione quando entrate a Genova, perché assisterete a uno spettacolo che tocca il cuore.

La sua precedente esperienza professionale di manager di una grande Multinazionale l’ha sinora agevolata nel far fronte alle richieste di una città che, in un certo senso, è una grande azienda?

Grazie, questa è una definizione che merita di essere sottolineata. Quando parlo con i politici non ci credono, ma in realtà una città è una grande azienda, però con qualcosa in più. Spesso deve essere gestita con gli stessi meccanismi di una grande azienda. Bisogna essere però in grado di agire contemporaneamente su vari fronti per gestire caratteristiche

tipiche di un ambiente pubblico e non di un contesto privato.

Ma i fondamentali sono gli stessi. Il che vuol dire gestire un aggregato di esseri umani, donne e uomini con un obiettivo preciso. Mentre per una azienda l’obiettivo è fare profitto, l’obiettivo di una città é quello di innalzare la qualità della vita.

A proposito di qualità della vita, Genova come affronta il tema della sostenibilità?

Innanzitutto entro il 2025 avremo tutto il trasporto pubblico locale non più a combustione. Dal mese di settembre é partita una ordinanza che, come in altre città, limiterà il traffico “ad archi”, partendo dal centro storico.

Sempre dal mese di settembre abbiamo creato un incentivo, stanziando 400 Euro per l’acquisto di bike e motorbike elettrici.

Poi, oltre alla raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti, lo stato di pulizia del mare è per noi priorità e motivo di orgoglio. Abbiamo 9 depuratori in città, nessuno scarico oggi va a finire in mare ma direttamente nei depuratori e il miglioramento dell’acqua è percepibile, tangibile. Abbiamo acque limpide e il numero più alto di bandiere blu.

Quali saranno i prossimi appuntamenti istituzionali nella sua agenda di Sindaco?

Di appuntamenti istituzionali ne abbiamo decine tutti i giorni. Ma ora la nostra priorità è quella della inaugurazione del “ponte”.

La città ha molto bisogno del ponte, tutti hanno bisogno del ponte. Rappresenta un simbolo e la prova che l’Italia riesce a fare cose belle e grandi imprese, nei tempi giusti con costi giusti. La mia attenzione é poi sugli investimenti infrastrutturali per la città che devono andare avanti. Tra questi il trasporto pubblico locale.

Le nuove metropolitane di superficie per consentire di muoversi agevolmente in città. Dobbiamo fare investimenti economici per le aziende. Abbiamo la necessità di portare a Genova le aziende. Abbiamo bisogno di investimenti nel Real-Estate. Il terzo valico ci porterà un beneficio enorme, saremo a Milano in 45 minuti di treno. Questo ci consentirà di vivere in rinvierà e di poter lavorare anche a Milano... o di avere aziende e attività in riviera e di vivere a Milano. Porterà a un riequilibrio del settore immobiliare di Genova.

a 59ma edizione del Salone Nautico in programma a Genova dal 19 al 24 settembre 2019, celebrerà la Città della Nautica.

Monaco Yacht Show A tailor-made show for the new generation of superyacht customers

T

oday it attracts over 125 superyachts with an average length closer to 50 metres, of which around 42 are new launches making their world debut. The average value of the yachts on display is now a staggering €27 million. This is a far cry from the very first edition of MYS in 1991, when there were just 32 yachts moored in Port Hercules averaging 31 metres in length.

This year’s fleet will feature larger superyachts compared with 2018. The largest luxury vessel will be 107 metres in length. 21 units will exceed 60 metres with an average size of 75m! It is hard to overestimate the importance and prestige of MYS as a barometer that measures the state of the large yacht industry.

When business is booming, there is a tremendous vibe among the yacht brokers and builders walking the dock. But in a sector still adapting to the aspirations of younger buyers and charterers, continued prosperity is not guaranteed and there is no room for complacency. Un salone cucito su misura per la nuova generazione di appassionati di superyacht Oggi attrae più di 125 superyacht dalla media lunghezza di circa 50 metri, di cui 42 al loro debutto mondiale.

Il valore medio degli yacht in mostra è di circa 27 milioni di euro. Questo valore è ben lontano da quello della prima edizione di MYS del 1991, quando solo 31 yacht dalla media lunghezza di 31 metri erano ormeggiati a Port Hercules.

La flotta di quest’anno si compone di superyachts più grandi rispetto a quella del 2018. La nave di lusso più grande misurerà 107 metri in lunghezza, mentre 21 unità supereranno i 60 metri attestandosi a una media di 75 metri.

E’ difficile sopravvalutare l’importanza e il prestigio di MYS come barometro che misura lo stato dell’industria dei grandi yacht. Quando gli affari sono in espansione, passeggiando per il molo si percepisce una meravigliosa atmosfera tra gli intermediari e i costruttori. Ma in un settore che si sta ancora adattando alle aspirazioni dei giovani compratori e noleggiatori, non è garantita la prosperità continua e non c’è spazio per il compiacimento. In qualità di protagonista proattivo dell’industria, MYS accoglie il cambiamento adottando strategie di sviluppo che si indirizzano deliberatamente verso l’emergente clientela dei superyacht.

Rolly Go: un’indimenticabile estate Riscoprire la bellezza del pensare a lungo

inalmente è abbastanza grande, fidati possiamo portarla in crociera, no Guido non sono d’accordo e se Nina si facesse male è ancora troppo piccola e se succede poi guarda che rischi che non voglia mai più venire le crei il trauma.. ehhh esagerata come al solito se fosse per te la terresti sotto la campana di vetro fino ai 20 anni.. guarda che a me mi ci hanno portato che avevo tre anni lei ne ha quasi sei, certo ma i tuoi genitori erano degli incoscienti guarda come sei venuto su… Senti Chiara ti prometto che staremo attenti faremo tutto con estrema cautela, guarderò ossessivamente il meteo e alla prima avvisaglia di cattivo tempo stiamo fermi in porto. ricordati che il RollyGo è progettato per mari ben più pericolosi del tranquillo Mediterraneo, ti prometto che sarò prudente come mai prima. Ma come si sa nel mantenere le promesse i marinai non sono mai stati un granchè..

Basta, ora basta, per favore basta, queste le parole che Vittoria da sottocoperta il giorno dopo la prima notte di navigazione mi confida di avermi sentito pronunciare al mare e al vento, ebbene si il lammameteo e il Tigre (a Portofino tutti sanno chi è il Tigre), mi avevano avvertito.. non partire da scirocco forte, ma si sa le previsioni sono sempre peggiori della realtà è poi chessaranno mai 200 miglia.. insomma, dai su si parte che siamo già in ritardo la Sardegna ci aspetta ed è già il 6 agosto 2019 e poi qui è tutto sereno.. In effetti partiti verso le 3 del pomeriggio fino a sera ci siamo proprio divertiti: vele bianche, vento di traverso sui 10\15 nodi Rollygo veloce sui7\8 nodi equipaggio: Gaddo (mio fratello 17 anni) Mathiew (cantautore francese e padre di Pitù), Vittoria (madre di Pitù), Chiara (madre di Nina), Nina (mia figlia), Pitù (5 anni e mezzo ci tiene al mezzo e io, felici e contenti, ma mentre i bambini andavano a letto e il sole ci dava il suo arrivederci, qualcosa che gli altri non avevano ancora notato stava avvenendo.

Le vele si cazzavano sempre di più e verso le 10 il traverso era diventato una bolina stretta in rotta, il vento cresceva sui 20/25 nodi e io mi ritrovavo a pensare che a parte me nessun altro aveva esperienza di navigazione su grossi cabinati.. c’era tanta buona volontà da parte di tutti ma le cime girate al contrario sui winches si moltiplicavano insieme alla mia convinzione di essere un pirla..

Il picco di vento era previsto verso le 2 del mattino e ancora speravo di poter lasciare il timone per qualche ora a mio fratello fino all’alba e dormire almeno un po’. Alle due di notte il vento rimaneva costante le onde erano cresciute, ma la coperta a poppa del Rolly era ancora perfettamente asciutta.

Visto? Dai, alla fine non sei così pirla, il picco sta passando e a parte un po’ di botte sulle onde e qualche raffica adrenalinica tutto sta andando bene, peccato che il picco arriverà alle 5, nulla di trascendentale, capiamoci: raffiche arrivate a 40 nodi e onde di 1 metro e mezzo, nulla che non avessi già affrontato più volte, ma con due enormi differenze: ero con amici velisti a bordo e senza bambini, e cosi la mia frase rubata da Vittoria, una supplica che le cose non peggiorassero ancora, perché altri 10 nodi e non basterà più aver poggiato e “deciso “ di cambiare lato della Corsica, aver scarrellato tutta la randa e rollato un po’ il fiocco, se cresce ancora il vento e le onde.. non so davvero cosa fare… mando due neofiti a manovrare per prendere una mano di terzaroli con il rischio che si facciano male, lascio il timone con il rischio che mentre manovro io ,mi ritrovo sdraiato in acqua, poggio e punto l’Africa? Che Pirla: è ufficiale. Ma come ogni tanto accade quando ci sono i bambini le cose vanno bene e, poco dopo la mia preghiera, il vento comincia a calare e finalmente il dito della Corsica ci protegge dalle onde che arrivano da babordo. Così finisce la nostra prima notte e continuiamo quindi la nostra navigazione fino verso mezzogiorno a Calvi. Con mio immenso sollievo, Chiara non ce l’ha con me: forse si è resa conto che già mi sentivo abbastanza colpevole e non ha voluto infierire, o forse ha dormito senza accorgersi di nulla, ma l’importante è che come speravo, i bimbi sono a felicità 100, livello di felicità che li vedremo mantenere per tutta la vacanza, hanno dormito tutta la notte sereni: visto Chiara? Nessun trauma ☺.

Calvi è un po’ una delusione. Decidiamo quindi di ripartire presto la mattina seguente non dopo però aver comprato un grill che si dimostrerà perfetto per tante cose, compreso fare il caffè la mattina quando la bombola del gas andrà a finire, ma soprattutto a cucinare i pesci che Mathiew andrà a pescare con la sua fiocina.

esattamente in quest’ordine.

Sono stremato … non lo do a vedere (forse), ma la prima notte mi ha davvero provato, non tanto fisicamente (ho la fortuna di avere un corpo che mi perdona ancora quasi tutto), ma psicologicamente.

Come pensavo la presenza a bordo di bambini cambia di molto le cose e tutto diventa più serio e difficile per il capitano di una barca, lo avevo pensato, ora ne ho la certezza. Così mi ritrovo a deludere un po’ le aspettative della ciurma che mi chiede ingenuamente di fermarsi in cale paradisiache e solitarie, dove però non c’è fondale e ridosso, a guardare troppo spesso il meteo e a voler arrivare il prima possibile alle Bocche di Bonifacio, tratto di costa che conosco a menadito e che mi da molta più serenità perché conosciuto.

8 Agosto: ripartiti da Calvi, risaliamo la Corsica senza nessun problema, il mare è calmo, il vento quasi assente e il Nanni Diesel ci spinge borbottando, sono i momenti che preferisco, quando la vita di bordo prende i suoi ritmi e i cittadini scoprono quanto sia facile innamorarsi del mare. Ognuno riscopre la bellezza del pensare a lungo, senza essere continuamente interrotti da una trillo del telefono, da una mail o da una frustrata clacsonata…

Ma le reazioni degli adulti già le conosco, quello che mi sorprende invece sono i bambini… è come se non avessi mai visto mia figlia felice per davvero. Non c’è un capriccio, non un momento di paura, ma solo felicità, per il fatto di essere sempre a contatto con i propri genitori, finalmente sgombri di pensieri e impegni, per la natura che li avvolge, per ogni piccolo segreto della barca con tutte le sue strane attrezzature e piccoli spazi interni che sembrano più fatti per la loro dimensione che per quella degli adulti. In fondo l’interno di una barca è come una grande pancia che ci protegge e che ci circonda e forse loro, che nella pancia ci sono stati di recente, se lo ricordano meglio di noi. Si fa sera e con le ultime luci della giornata buttiamo l’ancora nel Golfu de Lava, bella baia abbastanza protetta e con una spiaggia lunga e bianca.

9 Agosto: ci svegliamo lasciamo le madri a bordo e andiamo a fare la spesa: torniamo subito… passeranno tre ore nelle quali riusciamo a convincere a far fare da tate a due ragazze sulla spiaggia che si vedeva che si stavano annoiando un po’ e che, vedendo sbarcare col

gommone tre ragazzi arruffati e due bambini sicuramente hanno pensato che darci una mano era d’obbligo.

Hamburger, spesa, si butta la spazzatura e si riparte. Navigazione come il giorno prima. Il Nanni che borbotta e la vita di bordo che prende forma, Mathiew suona la chitarra e da lezione a Pitù di loculele. Vittoria e Chiara ci fanno da mangiare, Gaddo timona e io chiamo i delfini con Nina … ma papà non ci sentono! Vedrai amore: se li chiamiamo forte e soprattutto se ci crediamo, arriveranno … qualche giorno dopo a dire la verità.. Decido comunque di non affrontare le Bocche col buio e quindi ci fermiamo. Scopriamo un luogo davvero che non mi aspettavo: la Plage de Erbaju a circa 10 miglia prima di Bonifacio arrivando da Nord. L’ormai consolidato gruppo dei 5 sbarca col tramonto ed è festa: i bimbi corrono per tutta la bellissima spiaggia e noi scopriamo un torrente di acqua dolce che, prima di buttarsi in mare, costeggia orizzontalmente la spiaggia, con poca acqua a bordo per lavarsi dal sale è davvero una bella scoperta. Passiamo un paio d’ore nell’oscurità a rincorrere i bambini e quando stanchi di farli correre dietro la luce della torcia, troviamo un posto incantevole isolato, molto speciale con un ristorantino sulla spiaggia completamente ricoperto di vegetazione che purtroppo accetta ospiti solo se si prenota il giorno prima.. chissà come mai … Francesi.. Comunque gentilmente ci danno il ghiaccio per i gin tonic.

10 Agosto: finalmente in Sardegna, passiamo le Bocche di Bonifacio con tutta la loro maestosa natura senza alcun problema e ci accorgiamo di colpo di essere in pieno Agosto, il mare sembra una maionese impazzita: onde da tutte le parti, grandi yacht che scagliano le loro scie in una gara a chi lascia più il segno nel mare e le povere barche a vela sballottate come tappi di sughero. Ma lo sapete quanto risultate sgradevoli e un po’ sfigati? Ma che fretta avete di bruciare tutto il vostro prezioso e costosissimo pieno?

Uno soprattutto lanciato almeno a 25 nodi con un motoscafo di almeno 30 metri ci passa di prua talmente vicino da bagnarci completamente in coperta e spaventando i bambini, che però ripresisi dallo spavento non mancano di unirsi al mio insulto nei suoi confronti. Beh per lo meno ora sanno cosa non diventare da grandi. Velocizziamo la navigazione: Tavolara ci aspetta, stasera c’è il compleanno di un caro amico di famiglia che ha casa sull’isola e ci aspetta una lauta cena!!

Arriviamo per le 10 di sera. La baia davanti a Tavolara sembra piazza Duomo durante la finale mondiale di calcio, ommammia ma cosa è successo!! Ah è vero, è sabato.. Comunque sbarchiamo e ci rifocilliamo. I bambini giocano con cani gatti e animali vari. Noi beviamo alla salute del padrone di casa che come vedremo dovrà sopportarci più a lungo del previsto..

11 Agosto: si sta fermi per la prima volta: approfittiamo per scoprire l’isola e stare un po’ con i nostri amici, finalmente il tanto sospirato cafonissimo cigno viene gonfiato, Nina ha dovuto aspettare qualche giorno ma ora lo sfavillante cigno è fieramente a Poppa del Rollygo. Peccato che il cigno è talmente grande che dall’acqua è praticamente impossibile salirci, allora lo leghiamo dietro al gommone e lo trainiamo coi bimbi sopra: felicità 100.

12 Agosto: le previsioni segnalano una brutta tempesta nel Golfo del Leone a noi arriverà la coda ma è comunque un Maestrale forte con onda formata, e in effetti arriva. Siamo davvero sfortunati.

Scendiamo con Scirocco e ora che dovremmo cominciare a risalire - la nostra è una breve crociera il 16 dobbiamo riessere a Portofino - il vento gira di 180° e lo abbiamo di nuovo in faccia, niente, il Gennaker aspetterà. Per fortuna Tavolara la sera si svuota ed è splendida come sempre. I bimbi intanto sono belli abbronzati, continuano nelle loro avventure quotidiane, in fondo questa è una vacanza più per loro che per noi e vederli così gioiosi era lo scopo.

A loro Tavolara va benissimo 13 Agosto: il lammameteo dice che verso le 2 del pomeriggio il vento cala, salutiamo tutti con quella punta di superiorità di chi va a navigare e lasciamo l’isola per puntare a Nord con l’intenzione di fermarci nella meravigliosa Ille Plana, ma per una volta i fantastici ragazzi Toscani del Lamma sbagliano di grosso facciamo un paio di tentativi di scapolare la punta di Golfo Aranci: la prima verso le tre del pomeriggio, ma veniamo ricacciati indietro da vento sui 25 nodi di prua e onde di un paio di metri, il Rolly soffre troppo e si avanza a 2 nodi, niente da fare, ma le previsioni dicono che cala. Ci ridossiamo e diamo ancora aspettando la sera, ci riproviamo, ma di nuovo stessa cosa.. niente, torniamo a Tavolara che con la sua altezza ci protegge e ci garantisce una notte serena. Ci rassegnamo ad aspettare il giorno seguente..

14 agosto: il vento è calato e partiamo di buon’ora, ora è una lotta

contro il tempo. Se vogliamo essere il 16 a Portofino dobbiamo navigare veloci e per un volta il vento e le onde ci aiutano, passiamo le Bocche con un perfetto traverso mura a sinistra e arrivati sulla costa della Corsica come spesso accade, comincia a girarci al lasco insieme alle onde che ancora formate ci spingono in qualche bellissimo surf . Sfioriamo i 12 nodi su 3 onde consecutive, non male per il vecchio Rolly. Arrivati a circa metà della Corsica il vento ci lascia di colpo, ma davanti a noi si scorgono ochette da vento teso, strano.. passano pochi minuti e ci ritroviamo di bolina stretta mure a destra!! Navighiamo così per un paio d’ore, per fortuna il vento è forte ma non tanto da dover ridurre le vele, il Rolly è molto sbandato e i bimbi puntellati nel pozzetto si divertono, calerà alla sera lasciandoci una tranquilla notturna a motore.

Passata la Giraglia le onde della tempesta di pochi giorni prima si fanno risentire, la Corsica ha smesso di proteggerci, delle vere colline che ci prendono a 90 ° a babordo senza nessun vento, un vero strazio, decido quindi di lasciare la rotta diretta e puntare almeno per un po’ Livorno, in questo modo le onde diventate di poppa ci spingono veloci.

Poche ore dopo siamo di nuovo in rotta puntiamo sicuri Portofino.

Risale un po’ il vento, spegnamo il motore e finalmente, i tanto chiamati e attesi delfini, arrivano a giocare con la nostra prua.

I bimbi rimangono ipnotizzati a guardarli tutto il tempo con quell’espressione rapita che solo le prime volte crea nell’essere umano.

Arriviamo verso le 6 di sera del 16, il Tigre a remi sul suo Profeta ci aspetta per accoglierci, con le sue ruvide ma sempre simpatiche esortazioni a girare più velocemente i winches. Siamo stanchi morti, abbronzatissimi e dimagriti, felici di aver regalato 10 giorni indimenticabili ai nostri figli. La mia speranza è che si innamorino del navigare, del mare, del vento e della natura che troppo spesso sentono troppo lontana..

In una due giorni ricca di eventi, Fratelli Tallia di Delfino ha portato su questo palcoscenico unico la collaborazione con il biellese Marco Veronese, artista eclettico, tra i fondatori del movimento Craking Art, che per l’evento “Love in Portofino” ha dato vita ad una scultura dal titolo “Storia d’Amore”, in cui è narrato l’incontro tra il mare e il sale, presentando un’ulteriore evoluzione del progetto “He Art”, realizzato in occasione di Milano Unica, con i pregiati tessuti in puro cashmere firmati Gentleman’s Wardrobe.

Portofino è diventato dunque il setting perfetto per l’eleganza che il marchio biellese propone, attraverso una reinterpretazione del bespoke maschile ideato per il gentleman contemporaneo.

The sloop of dreams

L

aunched in Pietarsaari Finland, Canova is a yacht built to fulfil the owner’s particular dream: at the height of his nautical maturity, he wanted to innovate.

Her name is Canova, a sloop built and launched by Baltic Yachts in June. In Finland launches always take place after the thaw.

She’s the fruit of long years of work spent to achieve the owner’s desire to have a boat that brought together a number of significant qualities. The starting point is the desire to sail around the world, by way of Panama, at high speed, in maximum comfort, and with a reasonable degree of independence in terms of maintenance. Finally, beautiful. Almost a sculpture (in fact, there is a model in marble that’s quite evocative). The process of choosing a shipyard and designers is the result of careful research and that took time. In the end, the designers chosen for the yacht were: Farr Yacht Design, for the navel engineering; Lucio Micheletti for the exterior design, who also worked together with Baltic Yacht’s technical office on the interiors. In addition, there is Gordon Kay, who designed the DSS (dynamic stability system); Gurit for the composite; and Mattia Belleri, the owner’s project manager.

Micheletti, who’s architectural firm is based

in Milan, took great pleasure in draughting the design by hand before moving on to the digital version: “In order to design a boat, you have to enter another dimension, leave the pure volumes of architecture behind, for both the interior and the exterior, you have to work with an aesthetic that’s not affiliation but depth. Blend calm and strength, positive and negative space. Working with materials in harmonious dialogue, avoiding confrontations.”

Here are the dimensions: 142 feet, 140 tons of displacement. As Britton Ward of Farr Yacht Design remarks: “The predicted performances numbers are remarkable, with the boat able to comfortably achieve boat speeds equal to the wind speed in moderate to strong winds when reaching.” That translates into sailing at 25 knots with the wind blowing at 25 knots, with a ‘cruiser’.

The sailing world has already achieved this level of performance, but with racing hulls and crews, not with full interiors and everything necessary for a month of autonomy. The lift keel can be raised from its sailing position, which has a draft from 6.5 metres to 3.8 metres and, quite visible athwartships, is the foil of the DSS, which primarily serves to limit heeling while under

sail. Substantial resources were dedicated to a critical, important element: the foil, a long extension that moves from its inactive position in athwartships and is pushed into the water from the leeward side while under sail. Other ‘dream’ features include the electric diesel motor, an actuator on a 420kW pod that is almost completely silent, and a hydrogenerator that can charge and supply energy even under sail, all winches are assisted. The sails are manufactured

by North Sails, a supplier of choice for Italian sailing that, despite its substantial experience, found this project a meaningful challenge.

Lo sloop delle meraviglie Varato a Pietarsaari in Finlandia Canova, una barca nata da sogni precisi, quelli di un armatore nel pieno della maturità nautica, con la voglia di innovare.

Si chiama Canova lo sloop che Baltic Yachts ha costruito e varato in giugno: in Finlandia si vara sempre al disgelo: è il frutto dei desideri di un armatore che ha lavorato anni a dar forma al suo desiderio di avere una barca che doveva riunire molte caratteristiche importanti. Lo sfondo è quello del giro del mondo passando da Panama, ad alta velocità, con il massimo comfort, con una ragionevole autonomia nelle manutenzioni. Infine bella, quasi una scultura (e infatti ne esiste un modello in marmo, davvero suggestivo). Il processo di scelta del cantiere e dei progettisti è il frutto di una indagine lunga che ha richiesto tempo. Alla fine le firme scelte per il progetto sono lo Farr Yacht Design per la ingegneria navale, Lucio Micheletti per il design degli esterni e ancora Lucio Micheletti con l’ufficio tecnico di Baltic Yacht per gli interni. A questi si aggiungono Gordon Kay che ha disegnato il sistema DSS (dynamic stability system), Gurit per il composito, Mattia Belleri project manager per l’armatore.

Racconta l’architetto Micheletti, con studio a Milano e il grande piacere di disegnare a mano prima di passare alla versione digitale: “ Per progettare una barca devi entrare in un altra dimensione, abbandonare i volumi puri dell’architettura, sia all’estero che all’interno e devi lavorare con un estetica che non è appartenenza ma profondità. Fondere calma e forza, vuoti e pieni. Lavorare con i materiali in un dialogo armonico evitando contrapposizioni”.

Tanto lo fanno le dimensioni: 142 piedi, 140 tonnellate di dislocamento. Come racconta Britton Ward di Farr Yacht Design: “le velocità predette sono molto interessanti, e testimoniano la capacità della barca di navigare alla velocità del vento al lasco sia con venti moderati che con venti forti”. Tradotto significa navigare a 25 nodi con il vento che soffia a 25 nodi con una barca “da crociera”. Queste sono prestazioni che il mondo della vela ha già raggiunto, ma con carene ed equipaggi da regata, non con interni completi e quello che serve per un mese di autonomia.

La chiglia è lifting e sale dalla posizione di navigazione che ha una immersione di 6,5 metri a 3,8 metri e a centro barca, molto visibile, c’è la pinna del DSS che servirà soprattutto a limitare lo sbandamento in navigazione. Alla pinna, una lunga ala che passa a riposo è al centro della barca e viene spinta in acqua dal lato sottovento durante la navigazione, sono state dedicate molte risorse, è una presenza critica e importante. Altre “meraviglie” sono la propulsione diesel elettrica, con un attuatore su pod da 420kW che si sente appena, e un idrogeneratore che può caricare e fornire energia anche sotto vela, tutti i winch sono assistiti.

Le vele sono costruite da North Sails, è una fornitura seguita dalla veleria italiana che non ostante la grande esperienza dello storico marchio ha rappresentato una sfida importante.

he Portofino National Park which includes the towns of Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino right up to Rapallo, is the most northerly, protected coastal area in the western Mediterranean, and it protects a promontory characterized geologically by exceptionally high cliffs.

The result is an area of outstanding natural excellence shared between land and sea, in a sequence of coves, promontories, fortified towers and caves to be visited for an unforgettable experience in an extremely varied setting. Within just a few kilometres, chestnuts give way to olive groves and farming traditions exist alongside activities linked to the sea and fishing. The National Park, protected since 1935, holds one of the highest concentrations of flora in the Mediterranean and an impressive diversity of fauna as well as bearing important architectural witness to history. A network of over 80 kilometres of trails offer excursions of different length and difficulty in a setting of extraordinary beauty, where one can visit sites of particular historical and cultural interest such as Il Semaforo Vecchio, le Batterie, il Mulino del Gassetta, la Locanda di San Fruttuoso and the Eremo di Niasca, all perfectly salvaged and restored, as well as coastal villages and Medieval monasteries. The captivating trail of the Sentieri Sacri tells the most ancient story

of the promontory, whilst the Via di Tubi, an acqueduct built at the end of the 19th century which from above the bay of San Fruttuoso supplied Camogli with water, is today the location for a spectacular itinerary accessible to only the most expert hikers.

However, in addition to its natural beauty, the National Park also offers the charm of reliving traditional examples of local trades in the area. Local fishing techniques, such as the Tonnarella di Camogli or the Mugginara which have long-since disappeared from the Mediterranean, the structures where fishing nets were once manufactured using fishbones, and the women of Santa Margherita Ligure who continue to pass down the ancient art of bobbin lace: a special working of thread, nominated as a Unesco heritage craft.

Visiting the National Park There are excursions and guided visits throughout the year, mainly at the weekend.

Thanks to a constantly updated calendar, you can choose your preferred excursion well ahead. Booking is always before 12 o’clock midday on the day before the excursion.

Visits are guaranteed with a minimum of 9 people and for safety reasons must have a maximum number of participants, these differ for each excursion according to the level of difficulty.

Tra terra e mare, un’esperienza indimenticabile anche in autunno

l Parco di Portofino che interessa i Comuni di Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino sino a Rapallo è l’area costiera protetta più a nord del Mediterraneo occidentale e tutela un promontorio caratterizzato, a livello geologico, da falesie di eccezionale altezza: ne risulta un insieme di aree di elevato pregio naturale tra terra e mare, in un susseguirsi di insenature, promontori, torrioni, grotte la cui la visita diventa un’esperienza indimenticabile in un ambiente estremamente vario. Le tecniche di pesca locale, quali la Tonnarella di Camogli o la Mugginara ormai scomparsa da Mediterraneo, gli impianti manifatturieri delle reti, un tempo realizzati con la lisca e le donne di Santa Margherita Ligure che continuano a tramandare l’antica arte del merletto, particolare lavorazione del filato, candidato a patrimonio dell’Umanità dell’Unesco.

Come visitare il Parco Le Escursioni e Visite Guidate vengono svolte tutto l’anno e tendenzialmente durante il weekend. Grazie ad un calendario sempre aggiornato, potrete scegliere con largo anticipo l’escursione che preferite. La prenotazione è sempre entro le 12.00 del giorno che precede l’escursione. Le visite sono garantite con un minimo di 9 persone e per ragioni di sicurezza viene imposto un limite massimo di partecipanti, diverso a seconda del grado di difficoltà dell’escursione.

W

hen you read these words summer will be coming to an end. Ah! Summer and its excessive heat, sky-high humidity, traffic-packed coastal roads, the impossible quest for a parking space, unless it was the one assigned at the marina but then you arrived and maybe found it already taken.

The summer with its sounds of crickets and long traffic jams going home, arguments with neighbours at the docks, the vulgarity, the ostentation, the lights under the water line. Summer is the sailing season, love it or hate it, you can’t wait for it to be over and then when it’s over you can’t wait for it to be back. It is the moment you couldn’t find even the tiniest space to safely drop anchor, too many people, too much chatter from surrounding boats. But how beautiful the sun and the sea still as a millpond and smelling of the Mediterranean vegetation drifting in from land. How beautiful the clear, warm waters of the sea, that refresh you when you dive in and don’t give you a thermic shock. You will miss the summer, despite all of its faults. When the cold comes and the time for refitting is upon us, only songs will remain to remember the summer gone by.

Let’s hang on to them; to the best, at least.

Ah, l’estate e il suo caldo eccessivo, il tasso d’umidità alle stelle, le strade costiere intasate, la ricerca impossibile di un parcheggio a meno di non averlo assegnato in marina e magari trovarlo occupato. L’estate del frinire di cicale e delle code in autostrada al rientro, dei litigi con i vicini di ormeggio, della cafonaggine, dell’ostentazione, dei faretti sotto la linea di galleggiamento. L’estate è la stagione della nautica, si ama e si odia, non si vede l’ora che finisca e quando è finita si aspetta solo il suo ritorno. E’ il momento in cui non trovi un buco in rada per calare l’ancora in sicurezza, troppa gente, troppo chiasso dalle barche intorno. Ma che bello il sole e il mare liscio come l’olio, e quell’odore di macchia mediterranea che arriva da terra. Che bella l’acqua trasparente e calda, che quando ti tuffi ti dà refrigerio e non uno schock termico. Vi mancherà l’estate, anche con tutti i suoi difetti. Quando arriverà il freddo e il tempo del rimessaggio, resteranno solo le canzoni per ricordare l’estate trascorsa. Aggrappiamoci a loro, almeno alle migliori.

Lia Riva

e meet with Lia Riva, daughter of Ing. Carlo Riva the renowned boat builder.

She is CEO of Monaco Boat Service, the exclusive Riva dealership for France and Monaco and now, gold standard for the whole of the famous Riva dynasty –founders of the Riva brand.

We’ve heard of a wonderful legend about Pietro Riva. Can you tell us?

It’s a wonderful story. However, my father always told me that it was in fact, just that: a legend.

What is the boat-yard’s iconic model?

There are several: Aquarama (in the past) Aquariva (daughter to Aquarama, designed by my father, Ingegnere Carlo Riva) and Domino, one of the current models and in my opinion the most beautiful.

Which one do you prefer?

Apart from Aquarama and the ones mentioned above, there is a brand-new 48’’ Dolceriva: the name is a play on “dolcevita”. It really is a gorgeous boat and I am sure it will be very successful.

Riva is involved with various charity projects; for example, on the 15th of October, you are hosting the launch of the Fondazione Mike Bongiorno in Monaco, with the attendance of the Prince. What is your connection with the famous presenter and founder of Italian television?

Mike was my father’s friend and client. He had several Super America boats (42-45-58) and then we became good friends with Daniela and with their children. Our apartments in the mountains, in Cervinia, were opposite each other. All the children would play together and Daniela and I would go for long walks and chat. We stayed friends over time and our children still see each other in Milan. This is why it is an honour to be able to welcome the Bongiorno family and have them as guests at the Riva Tunnel for the launch of the Fondazione Mike Bongiorno.

Did you know Mike Bongiorno personally?

If so, would you tell us a little about him?

Of course. He was a lovely person, easy-going and friendly. Actually, he stayed in Sardinia several times presenting new boats. He always rewarded those events at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda with his famous “Allegria” [happiness in Italian. The TV presenter’s famous catchphrase Ed.] You have recently launched the new Riva 50: Race, the first of the superyachts, 50 metres of elegance. Would you describe it for us? How was its debut received?

It is truly an exceptional yacht. It is produced in Ancona (by C.R.N., the superyacht specialists) and designed by Officina Italiana Design, so it is 100% Riva. I attended the official presentation in Venice at the Arsenale.

It was a magnificent occasion, I would say almost a moving one, given the context of the Biennale, the fantastic music, the atmosphere…

Can you end this interview with a sneak preview of your news?

This year the Monaco Boat Service is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Expect something big!

Ce la può raccontare? È una bella leggenda, ma mio padre mi ha sempre confidato che si tratta, appunto, di una leggenda.

Qual è’ il modello di imbarcazione iconico del cantiere?

Ce ne sono vari: Aquarama (passato) Aquariva (erede dell’Aquarama creato da mio padre, l’Ingegnere Carlo Riva) e Domino, uno dei modelli attuali e secondo me il più bello Qual è il suo preferito?

A parte Aquarama e quelli elencati, c’è una nuovissima 48’’ Dolceriva: il nome fa riferimento alla “dolcevita”. È veramente una barca splendida ed avrà sicuramente molto successo.

Riva è molto attivo su varie iniziative benefiche; in particolare il 15 ottobre ospiterà il lancio della Fondazione Mike Bongiorno a Monaco, alla presenza del Principe. Qual è’ il collegamento con il famoso presentatore e fondatore della TV italiana?

Mike era amico e cliente di mio padre, aveva vari Super America (42-45-58) e poi è nata una bella amicizia con Daniela e i loro figli.

Avevamo un appartamento in montagna a Cervinia uno di fronte all’altro. I ragazzi giocavano insieme e con Daniela facevamo lunghe passeggiate e chiacchierate. Con il passare del tempo siamo rimaste amiche e i nostri figli continuano a frequentarsi a Milano. Per questo motivo è un onore poter accogliere la famiglia Bongiorno e ospitarli al Tunnel Riva per il lancio della Fondazione Mike Bongiorno .

Lei ha conosciuto personalmente Mike Bongiorno? Se sì, ci racconta un po’ di lui?

Certo, era persona squisita, molto semplice e simpatica. Tra l’altro si è fermato varie volte in Sardegna per presentare delle nuove barche; durante questi eventi allo Yacht Club Costa Smeralda premiava sempre con il suo famoso “Allegria”. È stato lanciato da poco il nuovo Riva 50 metri di nome Race, primo dei Super Yachts con i suoi 50 metri di eleganza; ce lo descrive? Come è stato accolto il suo debutto? È uno yacht veramente eccezionale creato ad Ancona (da C.R.N., specialista dei super yacht) e disegnato da Officina Italiana Design, quindi è un Riva 100%. Ho assistito alla presentazione ufficiale a Venezia all’arsenale, è stata magnifica direi quasi commovente visto il contesto della Biennale, la musica fantastica, l’atmosfera.

Bruno Guidi we have available today, both in the technical office and the production department, means that we can make new products much faster than in the past and responding swiftly to the market is much easier. As far as design is concerned, if by this you mean a purely aesthetic quality then honestly, no; it is not really relevant to our products as the accessories we manufacture are installed mainly in the engine room or under the boat’s water-line and so are not easily seen by the average boat owner. If we are speaking about technical design however, we certainly pay particular attention to improving the shapes, for example to increase the products’ capacity/ flow rates or to satisfy the particular demands for performance requested by our customers.

Generally speaking, we enjoy a close collaborative relationship with our customers and we are continuously developing new products to meet their specific demands.

Guidi and Art... It is a well-known fact that for you and your family, art holds a particular charm. If you had to entrust the task of representing one of your products to one art form, which would you choose?

Photography. Our career as art patrons actually began with an exhibition of photography and the power of the images cannot be equalled.

Over the years though we have learned to appreciate other forms of art, such as sculpture or installations. We have collaborated and continue to collaborate with many artists both Italian and international, all active in the various areas of art.

runo Guidi, president and founder of Guidi srl (a company that celebrated its first 50 years in business in 2018) is the man from Valsesia who dominates the market with the serene self-confidence and awareness of making a dream come true. This was an undertaking that started a long way from the sea but which has managed to conquer the world of recreational sailing because of the excellent quality of its products.

Signor Guidi, which of your many products was the first to successfully stand out in the market? Today, which Guidi product is the most iconic and most representative of what you are known for and why people look for the Guidi name? The company’s leading products have always been the salt-water purifiying filters. They are still today one of the top selling products in our catalogue. Over recent years we have added anti-blocking valves, the subject of our most recent patents. These are valves designed specifically for use in contact with sea-water.

These valves too, like the filters are gaining increasing consensus among professionals of the nautical world, although we have learned from experience that every invention needs some time before it is understood and then appreciated by the market.

Research, innovation, quality: these are key areas where your company has always stood out. But today, these areas are, at the same time, inflated by businesses operating in a global market dominated by speed and

competition. How does Guidi respond in order to successfully stand out in a complex scenario like the current one? There is no doubt that research is fundamental. The Guidi company has always had a strong vocation for innovation, regarding both solutions and materials. I believe it is one of our strong points and it is also a driver, pushing us unceasingly onwards and never allowing us to be satisfied. In every sector, but in sailing in particular, one must always try to be cutting edge, with new ideas produced in the shortest time possible. At the moment for example we are increasing our “library” of 3D designs so that it is easy for our customers to introduce our accessories into their projects and be able to see the results or to verify the correctness of the parametres: this is a new service of high added value supplied by us. There is also the incessant research we carry out on materials.

For years now, we have been specialised the use of bronze, a noble metal employed to give the greatest guarantees against corrosion.

However, we are not restricted to that and we are constantly working on increasing our range. As far as materials are concerned, we pay scrupulous attention to the constantly evolving regulations.

The last 50 years have seen historic changes, these have been adopted by industry before other sectors of society. Has the way in which “technicity” and the value of products like yours are communicated also changed? How important are design or style for a nautical valve? The technology

What is your relationship with the sea? Do you spend some of your free time at sea?

I love the sea but I have never been able to dedicate much time to it, and I still can’t.

Guidi was founded a long way from the sea in Valsesia, at the foot of the Monte Rosa and we still have a deep bond with our region. So, we have developed a special relationship with the sea, that of loving it profoundly even without being able to enjoy it every day.

Your sons Daniele and Alessandro work in the business with you... Would you say that your interaction is one of father-son, businessman-son, or do you see each other as equals? I think that I represent both father and businessman. I don’t think it would be right for me to oblige them to act as equals given the difference in our age and experience.

I strive to give them the best advice I can, as a father and as a businessman, in fact, but I do give them the freedom to try out their own ideas. Daniele and Alessandro embody the company’s young and dynamic character and I am especially glad that the business can count on the continuity which their commitment guarantees in positions of responsibility.

Which trip you would like to make that you haven’t yet made and with whom?

I can’t think where, but definitely a trip with all of my family. I wasn’t able to spend much time with my boys when they were small, I had to take care of this “child”. I‘m referring of course to the company, which took up all my time and often kept me away from home.

This is why I now thoroughly enjoy every moment of our family get-togethers and the lovely times we spend together. So, my ideal trip would have to include all of them, no one excluded

runo Guidi, presidente e fondatore di Guidi srl (azienda che nel 2018 ha celebrato i suoi primi 50 anni) é l’uomo che dalla Valsesia si è imposto nel Mercato con la pacata sicurezza e consapevolezza di aver realizzato un sogno.

Una impresa, la sua, nata lontano dal mare ma che, con i suoi prodotti di eccellenza, ha conquistato la Nautica da diporto.

Signor Guidi, quale è il primo vostro prodotto che, tra gli altri, si è imposto nel Mercato con successo? E oggi quale è il prodotto Guidi più iconico, più rappresentativo per il quale siete riconosciuti e ricercati? I filtri per la depurazione dell’acqua di mare costituiscono da sempre l’elemento trainante dell’azienda e rappresentano tutt’oggi un prodotto di punta del nostro catalogo. Ai filtri si sono aggiunte negli ultimi anni le valvole antiblocco, oggetto dei nostri più recenti brevetti. Si tratta di valvole studiate appositamente per le applicazioni a contatto con acqua di mare. Anche queste valvole, al pari dei filtri, stanno riscuotendo un sempre più ampio consenso tra gli operatori del settore nautico, anche se l’esperienza ci ha insegnato che ogni innovazione ha bisogno di un po’ di tempo per essere prima capita e poi apprezzata dal mercato.

Ricerca, innovazione, qualità sono elementi importanti nei quali la sua azienda si è sempre contraddistinta. Ma oggi sono al tempo stesso inflazionati da imprese in un Mercato globale dove la competizione e la velocità sono dominanti. Quale è la risposta Guidi per imporsi con successo in uno scenario complesso come quello attuale? Indubbiamente non si può prescindere dalla ricerca.

La Guidi ha sempre avuto una forte vocazione ad innovare, sia per quanto riguarda le soluzioni che i materiali, credo sia uno dei nostri punti di forza, ed è anche il motore che ci spinge a non fermarci ed accontentarci mai. In tutti i settori ma nella nautica in particolare bisogna sempre cercare di essere all’avanguardia, con idee nuove realizzate nei tempi più brevi possibili. Oggi ad esempio stiamo ampliando la nostra “libreria” di disegni 3D affinché i clienti possono facilmente inserire i nostri accessori all’interno dei loro progetti e vedere il risultato o verificare la correttezza dei parametri.

E’ un nuovo servizio ad alto valore aggiunto che stiamo fornendo.

Anche sui materiali la ricerca è incessante, siamo specializzati da anni nell’uso del bronzo, un materiale nobile che fornisce le massime garanzie in funzione anticorrosione, ma non ci limitiamo a quello e lavoriamo costantemente per cercare di ampliare la gamma. Sui materiali stiamo molto attenti a seguire le normative, che sono in costante evoluzione.

In questi 50 anni, abbiamo assistito a cambiamenti epocali che spesso l’industria ha fatto propri prima che in altri settori della società civile. E’ cambiato anche il modo di comunicare la “tecnicità “e i valori di prodotti come i vostri ? Quanto conta il design, lo stile, ad esempio per una valvola ad uso nautico? Le tecnologie di cui disponiamo oggi, sia nell’ufficio tecnico che nella parte di produzione, ci permettono di realizzare i nuovi prodotti in tempi molto più veloci rispetto al passato, dare risposte pronte al mercato è più facile. Per quanto riguarda il design, se è inteso come pura qualità estetica non è onestamente così rilevante nei nostri prodotti, in quanto gli accessori che produciamo sono installati prevalentemente in sala macchine o sotto alla linea di galleggiamento di una barca, per cui non direttamente visibili dal’armatore medio. Se però parliamo di design tecnico, certamente prestiamo una particolare attenzione al continuo miglioramento delle forme, per esempio per aumentare le portate dei prodotti o per far fronte a particolari esigenze di prestazione richieste dai clienti. Più in generale, abbiamo un rapporto di stretta collaborazione con i clienti e sviluppiamo continuamente prodotti nuovi per far fronte alle loro specifiche esigenze.

Guidi e l’Arte...E’ risaputo che l’arte esercita su di lei e sulla sua famiglia un fascino particolare. Se dovesse affidare a una forma d’arte il compito di rappresentare un suo prodotto, quale sceglierebbe? La fotografia. Il nostro percorso di mecenati dell’arte è iniziato proprio con una mostra fotografica e la forza dell’immagine

resta ineguagliabile. Negli anni però abbiamo anche imparato ad apprezzare altre forme d’arte, come la scultura o le installazioni.

Abbiamo collaborato e tuttora collaboriamo con molti artisti, italiani ed internazionali, impegnati in diversi settori dell’arte.

Quale è il suo rapporto con il mare, trascorre parte del suo tempo libero in mare? Mi piace molto il mare, ma non ho mai potuto e non posso tuttora dedicargli molto tempo. La Guidi è nata in una zona lontana dal mare, la Valsesia, ai piedi del Monte Rosa e tuttora siamo legatissimi al nostro territorio. Con il mare abbiamo quindi sviluppato un rapporto particolare, di chi lo ama profondamente anche senza viverlo tutti i giorni.

Daniele e Alessandro, i suoi figli in azienda con lei... Tra voi prevale un confronto padre-figlio, imprenditore-figlio o un confronto alla pari? Direi che la mia è una figura sia di padre che di imprenditore.

Non ritengo corretto impostare con loro un confronto alla pari, vista la diversità di esperienza e di età.

Cerco di dare loro i migliori consigli, come padre e imprenditore appunto, ma li lascio liberi di sperimentare le proprie idee. Daniele e Alessandro rappresentano l’anima giovane e dinamica dell’azienda e sono particolarmente felice che l’azienda possa contare sulla continuità garantita dal loro impegno, in posizioni di responsabilità.

Quale è un viaggio che vorrebbe fare e non ha ancora fatto, e con chi ? Non saprei dove, ma sicuramente un viaggio con tutta la mia famiglia. Non ho potuto dedicare molto tempo ai miei ragazzi quando erano piccoli, dovevo occuparmi di questa “figlia”, e mi riferisco ovviamente all’azienda, che mi assorbiva a tempo pieno, tenendomi spesso lontano da casa. Oggi quindi assaporo appieno ogni singolo istante delle nostre riunioni di famiglia e dei bei momenti che trascorriamo insieme. Il mio viaggio ideale non può quindi escludere nessuno di loro.

Going down, you reach the beach club at water level: here you can enjoy the platform in every sense of the word. Then, my car designer soul led me to create a yacht with the proportions of the open sportivo. Using a lot of carbon.

So, you love travelling? Do you get your inspiration from travelling?

Yes, I am constantly inspired when I travel...

I try and see everything a place has to offer, even art…I love contemporary art. For example, when I go to Geneva to the Motor Show: I don’t just look at the object I try to “get outside” it to see and understand what lies beyond the project… I find having my own boat very useful, as is going sailing here on the French Riviera. I go diving, I swim around other boats, I observe them and I often bring a telescope with me…to see what the crew does, how it moves. How boat-owners enjoy the sea, the spaces they occupy…All this allows me to imagine and design to my best.

A

talk with Alberto Mancini, the talented young Yacht Designer who lives and works in Monte-Carlo. With his classical studies completed in Trieste, he moved to Turin to study car design. Here he was faced with a choice: to continue in the automobile business with Audi or move to Riva where, “all things considered, they are building Spiders which speed across water”?

He chose Riva. It was a lucky choice. At 22 years old, he started working at Officina Italiana Design, the design studio linked to the illustrious Riva brand. There he had the opportunity to begin a new career path in the design of external bodylines and interiors. It was a formative experience which led him decide to gain further professional experience in England with Ken Freivokh, where he was involved in the design of the famous 86 metre Super Yacht, Maltese Falcon. In 2009, he decided to start his own business. AM YACHT DESIGN was founded.

Alberto, how did your passion for the world of sailing come about?

My passion comes from a culture passed on to me by my father. I didn’t know it at the time, but going out on boats since I was little was actually training. I used to observe and admire the boats and their design and I would ask myself how I could make them even more beautiful… I daydreamed about bodylines.

Among some of the creations you presented at the Cannes Boat Show, from the 10th to the 15th of September: was the Azimut Grande S10. “Think big, sketch big!” Tell us about this project… How did the concept for this model come about?

The inspiration came from several places: first of all, whilst walking in Malibu admiring the grand villas with their terraces overlooking the ocean, I thought: Ok, an “open 30 metres long”; two levels, a flybridge stretching to stern and a lower one. The design philosophy behind the Grande S10 is linked to the concept of total liveability of onboard life, based on three fundamental images. The first image is that of a big classic megasailer, where the cockpit, which represents the heart of onboard life, is seen as the perfect refuge to relax out of the sun. The second is that of a sophisticated and modern villa overlooking the sea with many different levels of terracing gradually taking you to the water: this same approach forms the basis of the design for the Grande S10, where a free-flying flush deck is a never-before-seen solution giving you a raised view over the water. It is also a space for the boat owner to furnish and use as they wish. So, the terrace then is the central element of the Grande S10, representing the liveability and conviviality of villas and of megasailers. It is a space that communicates in an unobstructed dialogue with the sea.

Does the boat owner/the boat yard give you the opportunity to express yourself?

Or is it a group project?

Yes. No doubt about it. The boat yard gives me a free hand, I have the possibility to express myself and sometimes to revolutionize an initial idea. The boat owners too... I like to see where they live to be able to perfectly interpret their taste. My greatest satisfaction is seeing the boat owners admiring my work.

There is always tension in doing something well…sometimes there are arguments and discussions with engineers who want to impose their own ideas. But then, when the boat is in the water and I see the engineers as well as the boat owners admiring the result…

For example, during the time in Cannes, boat owners coming on board who can’t stop talking about the boat and commenting on every detail…this is deeply satisfying.

What are the intended markets for Azimut Grande S10?

Azimut Grande S 10 has been designed for a global market. It is a family yacht where it is possible to enjoy convivial togetherness and at the same time enjoy the privacy of your own company.

Would you like to design a sailing yacht?

It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.

I have flash backs from the past and the memory of how pleasant it is to enjoy the sound of the sea. Switching off the engines, feeling the gentle movement of the waves, a breath of wind…silence, the class of the sailing yacht!

Alberto Mancini e Azimut Grande S10 ...Pensando all’ocean view di Malibu

A

colloquio con Alberto Mancini, giovane e talentuoso Yacht Designer che vive e lavora a Monte-Carlo. Terminati gli studi classici a Trieste, si trasferisce a Torino per studiare Car Design.

Da qui, la scelta: continuare nel settore Automotive, da Audi, oppure da Riva dove, “tutto sommato, si costruiscono spider che sfrecciano sull’acqua” ? La sua scelta è stata per Riva.

Una decisione fortunata, la sua. A 22 anni, entrato in Officina Italiana Design, lo studio legato al prestigioso marchio Riva, ha l’opportunità di intraprendere un percorso nella progettazione di linee esterne e design degli interni, esperienza formativa che lo accompagnerà alla decisione, di intraprendere una ulteriore esperienza professionale in Inghilterra, da Ken Freivokh dove è stato coinvolto nella progettazione del famoso Super Yacht di 86 metri, Maltese Falcon.Nel 2009 la decisione di intraprendere una sua propria attivitá. Nasce lo Studio AM YACHT DESIGN. Alberto, come è maturata questa tua passione per la Nautica?

La mia passione per la nautica nasce da una cultura che mi ha trasmesso mio padre. Andare in barca fin da piccolo é stata una formazione inconsapevole. Osservavo e ammiravo le barche e il loro design e immaginavo come potessi abbellirle ulteriormente... fantasticavo sulle linee.

Al Boat Show di Cannes, dal 10 al 15 settembre hai presentato alcune tue realizzazioni, tra queste : Azimut Grande S10.

“Think big, sketch big!” parlaci di questo progetto… come nasce il concept intorno a questo modello?

Nasce da alcune ispirazioni che ho avuto: la prima, passeggiando a Malibu e ammirando le grandi ville con le loro terrazze protese verso l’oceano. Ecco, un “open di 30 metri”, ho pensato... due livelli, un flybridge proteso verso poppa e uno più abbassato.

La filosofia progettuale del Grande S10 è legata a un concetto di vivibilità totale della vita a bordo, concepita basandosi su tre immagini fondamentali. La prima immagine è quella di un grande, classico megasailer, dove il pozzetto centrale, leggermente ribassato, rappresenta il fulcro della convivialità, inteso come il rifugio perfetto in cui rilassarsi al riparo dal sole.

La seconda è quella di una raffinata e moderna villa sul mare, con più livelli di terrazze che gradualmente accompagnano all’acqua: questo stesso approccio è alla base del design del Grande S10, dove un flush deck completamente libero rappresenta una soluzione inedita che consente un affaccio sopraelevato sul mare. Si tratta, per altro, di uno spazio da arredare e utilizzare come meglio crede l’armatore. La terrazza, quindi, è un elemento centrale del Grande S10, che riprende l’abitabilità e la convivialità delle ville e dei megasailer. È uno spazio che comunica e dialoga con il mare senza impedimenti visivi. Scendendo, si raggiunge il beach club a pelo d’acqua: qui è possibile godere di una piattaforma a tutto baglio.

Poi, il mio animo da car designer, mi ha portato a creare una barca con le proporzioni dell’open sportivo. Usando tanto carbonio.

Quindi ami viaggiare? Trai ispirazione dai viaggi?

Si, traggo molta ispirazione dai miei viaggi... cerco di vedere tutto di un luogo, anche l’arte... amo l’arte contemporanea. Ad esempio, quando vado a Ginevra, al Salone dell’Auto. Non guardo soltanto l’oggetto, ma cerco di “uscire fuori” da esso per vedere, capire quello che é al di là di un progetto... Poi mi è molto utile avere una mia barca, e uscire in barca, qui in Costa Azzurra. Mi tuffo, nuoto intorno alle altre barche, le osservo e spesso porto con me un cannocchiale... per osservare cosa fa l’equipaggio, come si muove.

Come vivono in mare gli armatori, gli spazi che occupano... tutto questo mi consente di immaginare e progettare al meglio.

L’armatore, il Cantiere ti da l’opportunità di esprimerti ? O è un progetto condiviso ?

Si, certo. Il Cantiere mi lascia carta bianca, mi dà la possibilità di esprimermi e talvolta di rivoluzionare una idea iniziale. Anche gli armatori... mi piace vedere dove vivono per poter interpretare al meglio i loro gusti. La più grande soddisfazione è vedere gli

armatori che ammirano il mio lavoro. C’è sempre tensione di far bene... talvolta ci sono discussioni e confronti con gli ingegneri che vorrebbero imporre le loro idee. Ma poi quando la barca barca è in acqua e vedo che anche gli ingenieri, oltre all’armatore ammirano il risultato... ad esempio in questi giorni a Cannes, gli armatori che salgono a bordo della barca e non fanno altro che parlare della barca e commentano ogni dettaglio... questa é una grande soddisfazione.

Per quali Mercati è pensato Azimut Grande S10 ?

Azimut Grande S 10 è pensato per un Mercato globale. È uno Yacht per la famiglia, dove è possibile grande conviavialitá e, nello stesso tempo, godere di propri spazi.

Ti piacerebbe progettare una barca a vela ? È il mio sogno nel cassetto. Ho flash backs dal passato e ricordo di come sia piacevole godere il rumore del mare. Spegnere i motori, sentire ogni buona onda, una brezza di vento... il silenzio, la classe della vela!

The sea in winter comes to Augustus Hotel & Resort, a unique place often entrusted with dreams.

T

he sea in winter is no longer a dream, or just ‘a film seen in black white on the tv’ as Loredana Bertè sang in 1983. At the Augustus Hotel & Resort, one of Forte dei Marmi’s most exclusive locations, the sea in winter becomes a reality. An unexpected winter version of the historic Villa Agnelli, today the Augustus Lido, will be seen this year with a special opening until the 6th of January offering dedicated and customised facilities. Thanks to the underground passage built in 1951 by the Agnelli family to connect the villa with the private beach, all the seasons of the sea can be enjoyed exclusively. The sea in winter, deserted and uninterrupted along the strip of sand that for 30 kilometres traces the Versilia coastline, for the guests of the Augustus Beach Club– redesigned in “Alchemist Botanical Club” style by the architect, Titti Maschietto–will mean enjoying a slow beach where you can enjoy lunch under the veranda with a barbecue of freshly caught fish, sip hot tea or a refreshing aperitif at sunset facing the sea in the company of a good book, enjoying the surrounding view. But also enjoying long walks on the shore with your children and going on thrilling horse rides.

The lido’s restaurant, Bambaissa, will be open to celebrate any important occasion, for example counting down the seconds until the New Year. At the Augustus Beach Club everything takes place in actual suites on the beach comfortably furnished, with changing rooms that seem more like living rooms, a warm saltwater pool and designated areas for spa treatments. The Augustus Hotel & Resort, with its five-star ville de charme, its grounds and its history, is the undisputed star of the dolce vita in Forte dei Marmi and Versilia.

Since the 20s and the discovery of the coast by aristocrats, artists and intellectuals in search of privacy and comfort, it has enhanced the fame of this little town set between the sea and the mountain range of the Apuan Alps, with its gardens and abundant pine forest, the epitome of quiet and elegant vacationing.

In 1926, Edoardo Agnelli, son of Senator Giovanni–the founder of FIAT and father to Gianni–bought the neo-renaissance style Villa Costanza, built by Admiral Morin in the early 1900s. Thus, the legend of Villa Agnelli was born, a place where Torino’s great family were to spend long and literary vacations. The presence of the Agnelli family was influential in attracting aristocrats and the upper middle class from across Italy to Forte dei Marmi, inaugurating a refined and exclusive type of vacation, known as “living in villa”. Today,

the Villa Agnelli is the Augustus Lido, one of the central villas of the Augustus Hotel & Resort founded at the beginning of the 50s with the transformation of another famous villa. The first dwelling of the Augustus is the Villa Pesenti–a crown jewel of the Modernist movement designed by the famous architect Osvaldo Borsani. Later, in 1953, Augusta Pesenti added another floor to the original villa turning it into the Augustus Hotel. For over twenty years it was to remain the only deluxe hotel in the whole area. Around the main building with its balconies to be enjoyed like actual outdoor living rooms, seven villas were built in an eclectic taste created by the artists and architects sponsored by Signora Augusta. Completing the hotel, are the jewel of a swimming pool set in luxurious gardens and La Nave, a modern complex from the mid-sixties constructed among the pines; its unique long terraced spaces reminiscent of a cruise ship. Regular guests include celebrities –Jimi Hendrix, Charlton Heston, Oriana Fallaci, Eugenio Montale, Francesco Messina, Mario Monicelli, Paul Anka, Vittorio Gassman, sport personalities, screen stars and many of the Agnelli heirs themselves. The story of the Augustus was, and still is, the story of a family: first the Agnellis, then the Pesentis and last the Maschiettos who took over in the 50s. When Nino Maschietto arrived in Forte dei Marmi from the Treviso region to “invent” the Augustus and from 1953 onwards turning the “prototype” of albergo diffuso [scattered hotel] that it once was, into Versilia’s first five-star hotel. His son, Vittorio, an architect and today the latter’s son, Giacomo, continue to maintain and uphold the refined and relaxed elegance of this place which belongs to the past, the present and a glorious future.

All’Augustus Hotel & Resort arriva il Mare d’inverno, posto unico al quale spesso affidiamo i nostri sogni

I

l mare d’inverno non è più un sogno, o solo un film in bianco e nero visto alla tv, come cantava Loredana Bertè nel 1983.

All’Augustus Hotel & Resort, uno degli angoli più esclusivi di Forte dei Marmi, il mare d’inverno diventa realtà. La storica Villa Agnelli, oggi Augustus Lido, si presenta quest’anno in una inattesa versione invernale, con apertura straordinaria fino al 6 gennaio 2020, e con servizi dedicati e personalizzati. Grazie al sottopassaggio costruito, nel 1951, dalla famiglia Agnelli per collegare la villa alla spiaggia privata, si potrà vivere in esclusiva ogni stagione del mare. Il Mare d’inverno, deserto e ininterrotto lungo la striscia di sabbia che, per oltre 30 chilometri, disegna la Versilia, per gli ospiti dell’Augustus Beach Club – ridisegnato in stile “Alchemist Botanical Club” grazie al progetto dell’architetto Titti Maschietto – significherà gustare una spiaggia slow dove pranzare sotto la veranda, intorno al barbecue di pesce appena pescato, sorseggiare un tè caldo o un fresco aperitivo al tramonto, vista mare, in compagnia di un buon libro, godendo del paesaggio tutt’intorno. Ma anche fare lunghe camminate con i bambini sulla battigia ed eccitanti cavalcate.

Il ristorante del lido, il Bambaissa, è pronto a festeggiare ogni occasione importante, per esempio contando i secondi che ci separano dal nuovo anno. All’Augustus Beach Club tutto si svolge su vere e proprie suite on the beach allestite di ogni comfort, con cabine che assomigliano a dei salottini, una piscina di acqua salata riscaldata e postazioni per trattamenti benessere. L’Augustus Hotel & Resort, con le sue ville di charme a cinque stelle, il suo parco e la sua storia, è protagonista indiscusso della dolce vita di Forte dei Marmi e della Versilia. Fin dagli anni Venti quando, la scoperta del litorale da parte di aristocratici, artisti e intellettuali alla ricerca di privacy e comfort, ha alimentato la fama di questo piccolo centro incastonato tra il mare e le Alpi Apuane, tra giardini e rigogliose pinete, sinonimo di quiete ed elegante villeggiatura.

Primo nucleo dell’Augustus è Villa Pesenti, gioiello del nuovo stile modernista, progettata dal famoso architetto Osvaldo Borsani. Successivamente, nel 1953, Augusta Pesenti alzò di un piano la villa originale trasformandola nell’Augustus Hotel, per oltre venti anni l’unico hotel de luxe dell’intera zona.

Qui hanno soggiornato abitualmente personaggi come Jimi Hendrix, Charlton Heston, Oriana Fallaci, Eugenio Montale, Francesco Messina, Mario Monicelli, Paul Anka, Vittorio Gassman, personaggi dello spettacolo e dello sport e molti degli stessi eredi Agnelli. Quella dell’Augustus è stata ed è tuttora una storia familiare: prima degli Agnelli, poi dei Pesenti e infine dei Maschietto, subentrati negli anni Cinquanta. Quando dal trevigiano, Nino Maschietto arrivò a Forte dei Marmi per “inventare” l’Augustus, e trasformarlo, dal 1953 in poi, da “prototipo” di albergo diffuso che era a primo hotel cinque stelle della Versilia. Suo figlio Vittorio, architetto, e ora il figlio di lui, Giacomo, continuano a tenere ben salda la raffinata e rilassata eleganza di questo posto dal passato, dal presente e dal futuro glorioso.

Reebok ha presentato da pochissimo la nuova Nano 9, la scarpa da training più evoluta creata dalla CrossFit community, progettata per movimenti dinamici e, al tempo stesso, per garantire un estremo comfort nei movimenti quotidiani. La scarpa infatti, ribattezzata ufficialmente “Nano for All”, è adatta per essere indossata da chiunque, dal principiante all’amante della corsa e dello sport in genere. Tra le principali caratteristiche chiave che segnano l’evoluzione della scarpa più famosa del pianeta primeggiano la stabilità assoluta, grazie ad un miglioramento dell’ammortizzazione nell’avampiede, il comfort e la flessibilità, senza ovviamente dimenticare l’attenzione al design. Reebok has just recently presented the new Nano 9, the most highly evolved trainer to be created by the CrossFit community; designed for dynamic moves and guaranteeing at the same time extreme comfort in regular daily movement. In fact, the shoe, officially rechristened “Nano for All”, can be worn by anyone, from beginners to lovers of running and sport in general. Among the main key features marking the evolution of the most famous shoe on the planet, the highlights are the absolute stability provided by cushioning under the ball of the foot, comfort and flexibility and of course its careful design. The new sole, in particular, offers indispensable support for extreme exertion and a safe grip for dynamic movements. When chocolate turns to gold

Quando il cioccolato diventa oro

N

el regno della pasticceria lui è da sempre il re del cioccolato.

Trasferitosi dalla Svizzera più di 25 anni fa, Ernst Knam è ormai diventato un milanese a tutti gli effetti: lavora instancabilmente sette giorni su sette, anche diciotto ore al giorno. Seppur a Bake Off appaia come un severo giudice, quando entro nel suo laboratorio mi sento come una bambina nel paese dei balocchi: circondata da tutte quelle golosità, ma anche dalla sua sensibilità e genialità.

Perché per fare le magie ci vogliono tempo, passione e costanza.

Da pochi giorni si sono riaperte le porte del tendone di Bake Off. Qual è il segreto del vostro successo? È un programma che non scade mai nel volgare: non si dicono parolacce, non volano piatti o stoviglie. I programmi che hanno questa componente vanno velocemente in declino. Noi, invece, siamo già alla settima edizione e abbiamo ancora il 7,9% di share. Per questo motivo è adatto proprio a tutti: il nostro pubblico è formato soprattutto da famiglie. Inoltre, abbiamo concorrenti di ogni età e di conseguenza coinvolgiamo un pubblico molto vasto, sia bambini che anziani.

Come funziona la preparazione di una puntata? Dietro ad ogni puntata ci sono almeno tre giorni di lavoro. In particolare, è molto importante quando si ha molto materiale video che questo venga montato al meglio.

Qual è il mood di quest’anno? Quest’anno siamo negli anni ’50 e ci sarà una grande attenzione per il gentil sesso. Le donne sono sempre state le più coinvolte nel mondo della pasticceria, gli uomini sono subentrati solo successivamente. Nel mio laboratorio il 70% sono donne, in ufficio solo due ragazzi a fronte di cinque ragazze.

Io sono convinto che la mano femminile possa regalare molto al mondo della pasticceria.

Oramai lei è un personaggio pubblico, non più un semplice pasticcere. Le è mai capitato di doversi negare ai suoi fan? Ricordo che una volta mentre stavo uscendo dal negozio mi fermò una signora. In quell’occasione le mie bambine erano a casa malate e io avevo il dovere e il piacere di tornare da loro, motivo per cui negai alla signora la possibilità di scambiare quattro chiacchiere con me. Non feci nemmeno in tempo ad arrivare a casa che già era stata scritta una recensione negativa su TripAdvisor: etichettò me e il mio negozio con aggettivi negativi e scrisse che io ero un ‘cafone’.

Quali saranno le tendenze del 2020 in fatto di pasticceria? Il nostro obiettivo è aumentare la qualità riducendo gli zuccheri, in particolare cercheremo di evitare lo zucchero bianco e le farine bianche. La scelta deriva dalla consapevolezza che tutto ciò che è estremamente raffinato danneggia molto la nostra salute.

Cercheremo di trovare degli zuccheri alternativi utilizzando materie prime che mantengano inalterata la qualità del dolce. Noi siamo molto attenti anche alla ricerca delle materie prime. L’anno scorso mi sono recato in Perù alla ricerca del cacao nativo, invece quest’anno sono stato in Canada per procurarmi lo sciroppo d’acero. Molti gli eventi in programma tar cui la Knam Chocolate Experience a Milano e in quell’occasione presenteremo questi due ingredienti con uno show cooking, a cui seguirà anche una cena di gala.

Per chi le piacerebbe preparare una delle sue golose creazioni?

Sarei molto onorato di preparare qualcosa per Papa Francesco. Mi piacerebbe cucinare per lui e poi poterci chiacchierare.

Per gli amanti del cioccolato come me, c’è un modo per imparare a cucinare insieme a lei? Si, certo. Tanti non sanno che io ho una scuola di pasticceria dove facciamo anche dei corsi per non professionisti: sono lectio brevis che durano soltanto tre ore e possono essere seguiti da tutti.

n the realm of cakes and baking he has always been the king of chocolate. Having moved to Italy from Switzerland, over 25 years ago, Ernst Knam has now become Milanese to all intents and purposes: he works tirelessly seven days a week and even eighteen hours a day. Although he seems to be a strict judge on Bake Off, when I enter his workshop I feel like a little girl in wonderland: surrounded by all those delicacies, but also by his genius and creative awareness. Because making magic requires time, passion and constancy.

The doors to the Bake Off tent were opened again just a few days ago. What is the secret to your success? It is a programme that never descends into vulgarity: there is no swearing, no throwing of plates and saucepans.

Programmes that have this component quickly fall out of favour. We, on the other hand, are already on our seventh series and we have a 7.9% share of the tv audience. This is why it’s a programme for everyone: our audience is mainly families. As well as this, we have contestants of all ages and so we involve a very broad audience, both children and old folks.

What preparation is there for every episode? There are at least three days of work behind every episode. Particularly when you have lots of video footage it is very important that it be edited in the best possible way.

What is this year’s mood? This year the theme is the 50s and there will be a lot of attention on the fairer sex. Women have always been the ones most involved the world of baking, men only got into it afterwards.

Women make up 70% of my workshop, in the offices there are only two men compared with five women. I am convinced the female hand has a lot to give to the world of baking.

You are now a celebrity and no longer a simple pastry chef. Have you ever had to said no to your fans? I remember that once, I was stopped by a lady as I was leaving the shop. My young daughters were ill at home and I absolutely had to get home to them and I was happy to do so, this is why I didn’t give that lady the opportunity for a few words. I was barely home before a negative review had been written up on TripAdvisor: it labelled me and my shop with negative adjectives and criticising me as churlish.

What are the trends for 2020 in baking?

Our aim is to reduce the amount of sugar, especially avoiding white sugar and white flour. This choice comes from the awareness that everything that is extremely refined is very damaging to our health. We will try and find alternative sugars using raw materials that maintain the quality of sweetness unaltered.

We put a lot of care into researching raw materials. Last year I was in Peru looking for local chocolate, this year on the other hand I am in Canada to source maple syrup.

Many scheduled events we will hold the Knam Chocolate Experience in Milan and during it we will present these two ingredients

with a cookery demonstration, followed by a gala dinner.

Who would you like to prepare one of your delicious creations for? It would be a great honour to prepare something for Pope Francis.

I would love to cook for him and have a chat.

Speaking on behalf of chocolate-lovers like me, is there any way we could learn to cook with you? Yes. There is. Not everyone knows that I have a baking school where we also hold courses for non-professionals: they are lectio brevis (short lessons) only three hours long and within anyone’s reach.

years old and a native Ligurian from Bogliasco, he began his career at the Solito Posto restaurant in Bogliasco, went into the Eataly world and was charged with opening Eataly Korea where the chef became familiar with and took inspiration from Asian ingredients and culinary techniques such as fermentation.

Then came experience gained with Enrico Crippa at the Piazza Duomo in Alba and with Fabrizio Tesse at the Locanda di Orta to complete his training.

La cucina de Il Marin - Ristoro del Porto Antico Fish reigns supreme in Marco Visciola’s cuisine: a proposal that from Liguria, queen of menu spreads through the Mediterranean. A contemporary style that encompasses the best from all over Italy and doesn’t mind travelling either, as demonstrated by the welcome arrival of seaweed zabaglione and the use of fermentation. It is a cuisine of substitution: salt is replaced with reductions of the ingredients that are the basis of his cuisine, such as the liquid derived from rinsed salted anchovies, the brown stock from cuttlefish, or the tip of an anchovy, this brings the experience closer to the sea.

Among his signature dishes we have the tasting menus: “Sotto i Mari- 10mila leghe” [10 thousand Leagues under The Sea], served in 8 courses, or “20mila leghe” [20 thousand leagues] in 13 small blue bowls, the “Sgombro” [Mackerel] served with seasonal vegetables, the “Spaghetto Martini Cocktail” with green olives, “taggiasco” gin (with aromas of Taggiasco olives) and caviar, the “Tortelli ripieni al pesto ligure su cremoso di patate e fagiolini” [Tortelli pasta stuffed with Ligurian pesto on a bed of puréed potatoes and green beans]. Among the main courses, two servings in an awareness of eco sustainability: the “Rana divisa in la coda e la guancia” [tail and cheek of Monkfish]; the “Polpo: il tentacolo e la testa” [Octopus: tentacle and head]; the’”Astice: la coda e la chela” [Lobster: tail and claw] and then the “Finanziera di Mare con quinto quarto e verdure all’agro” [typical nose-to-tail dish accompanied by sweet and sour vegetables]. At midday you can order a two-course, business lunch including dessert for 34 euros.

Whilst there are three tasting menus for either lunch or dinner: 5 courses for 54 euros for the Liguria Contemporanea [Contemporary Liguria] (Capponmagro 2.0, a great classic of Ligurian cusine is reworked with the experience gained from travels through the traditions and ancient

techniques of fermentation in Korean cooking; Mackerel; Tortelli pasta stuffed with Ligurian pesto; Ciupin of monkfish; Ligurian desserts); L’Istinto [Instinct] 5 courses for 62 euros (Oysters in seaweed carpione; cuttlefish and fennel; spaghetto Martini cocktail; Finanziera dal mare; Profumi di fiori ed erbe di campo [Aromas of flowers and meadow herbs); lastly, for 75 euros, the tasting menu of 8 courses to be decided by the chef.

You decided to live and work in your birthplace, was this a choice or a necessity?

It was indeed a choice and for me it is an honour to be able to work in the city where I was born. To be able to describe Genoa through my food is one of my greatest satisfactions.

The fondazione Mike Bongiorno GETS UNDERWAY IN MONACO Interview with Daniela Bongiorno

T

he 15th of October is the date set for the inauguration of the Fondazione Mike Bongiorno in the Principality of Monaco.

The event will take place in the presence of Prince Alberto at the Tunnel Riva and will be organised by event planner Silvia Bortolotto, giving us the opportunity to meet Daniela Bongiorno, for this exclusive interview.

1. It is 10 years since Mike passed away and for the first time in history the Italian channels have been united. What do you think about this?

I organized it. It was what I wanted, I already know that Mike is in Italy’s history and culture and I wanted to reiterate this. He worked everywhere possible in television: private, commercial, foreign, the Rai and satellite tv at the end… To do something memorable I asked myself:’ What’s missing?

Uniting the channels.’ I spoke to Rai first and when they agreed, I went to Mediaset who gladly accepted my proposal and in Mike’s honour we’ve done it!

2. Mike is still alive in the hearts of the Italians. What are the nicest things people have said to you?

All the comments have been lovely, not one negative thing has been said. He is loved by everyone, no one has spoken badly about him apart from perhaps when he was young, some disputes…jealousy, envy.

Everyone knows that he is a good man, respectable, a gentleman, funny, innovative and courageous…There isn’t any one comment nicer than another, but it is all this love that has come out of it. Wonderful. The amount of love is as though he were still alive. One of the things that I have remarked is that everyone talks about him in the present tense. Mike is. This is the nicest thing.

3. First the Fondazione Mike in Milan and now the inauguration in Monaco, why this particular choice?

The Fondazione Mike was created by our family to give back all the great love we received from people. The opening in Monaco is because Monaco misses him. He had a link to this place and I have one too. It was right to extend the Fondazione here as well. The scholarship will not go necessarily to someone from Monaco, but also to an Italian, doubtless it will be awarded to a worthy recipient.

4. The event will be held on the 15th of October at the Tunnel Riva, how will it be organized and what is the link between Mike and Riva?

The event will be held at the Tunnel Riva because Lia Riva is a dear friend. We really love the place; we feel very at home there and she is very happy to be our host. Mike had a deep link with Riva because he has always had Riva boats, he also suggested experimental engines which we tried out together.

5. Who will help with the Fondazione Mike in Monaco?

The foundation is supported by the Bongiorno family and sometimes we organise events because they can generate economic contributions even though we often take them on ourselves. Here in Monaco we don’t want to hold the usual charity dinner or charity gala where you end up spending more money on the dinner than you manage to raise. We don’t want to show off. If friends want to make a contribution, then we couldn’t be happier, the money collected goes straight to the scholarship which will be awarded by the Prince.

6. The presence of the Prince will give great prestige to the Fondazione, have you got any other initiatives planned with the Royal Family?

We’ll see what happens. This will definitely be a scholarship aimed at what the Prince holds dear. So, environmental themes linked to the sea, energy, climate and pollution.

7. If Mike were still with us what would he say about current television?

He would be amazed at how things have changed in the last 10 years. We have come to a level of vulgarity and rudeness without equal. He was a respectable man and could never have imagined this. There are still some interesting programmes but in the main they are vulgar. He liked sport. He would probably watch sport.

8. With all the new technology coming out every day, what would Mike invent to entertain the Italians, but also to enrich them culturally?

I really can’t say, but, no doubt about it, he was always cutting edge…He would have found something to help Italians. The

scholarships that we are creating would have pleased him and he would have gone deeper thanks to his power of communication.

He taught everyone to study, to make an effort and to never give up. He would have invented something in this sense.

9. Have you ever thought about taking his place in television and continuing with what he did?

Me? Absolutely not. I am a low-profile person. I try to be seen as little as possible.

What I have noticed is that when I am asked questions, I answer as if he was giving me the answers. It’s the same for the children.

He taught us so much that is still alive inside us today. We say what he would have said; obviously not as well as he would have said it.

10. What is the best memory you have of Mike?

I don’t have just one good memory. I have 40 years of wonderful memories. Our life together is the most wonderful memory, our family which is so closely-knit, our children.

The best memory is having had that.

11. Which of his children do you think resembles him most?

Each of them has something of him. If we put all three of them together, we would get a Mike. Leo has his presence, Nico his depth and Miki his wisdom.

12. Behind every great man there is always a great woman and here we have an example of this maxim...

I don’t know if I am great; I do know that Mike always believed in me. The other day at the RAI, Leo said that as well as having a great father he also has a great mother: acknowledgement from one’s children is the best thing.

4. L’evento si terrà il 15 ottobre presso il Tunnel Riva, come sarà organizzato e che collegamento aveva Mike con Riva?

L’evento si terrà presso il Tunnel Riva perché Lia Riva è una cara amica, la location ci piace molto, la sentiamo molto familiare e lei è molto contenta di ospitarci. Mike aveva un legame profondo con Riva perché ha sempre avuto imbarcazioni Riva, ha suggerito anche motori sperimentali che abbiamo testato insieme.

5. Chi aiuterà la Fondazione Mike a Monaco?

La fondazione è sostenuta dalla famiglia Bongiorno e talvolta organizziamo degli eventi perché si possano avere dei contributi economici nonostante spesso siano a carico nostro. Qui a Monaco non vogliamo fare i soliti charity dinner, charity gala dove si finiscono per spendere più soldi in cene che quelli che si incassano.

Non vogliamo metterci in mostra. Se poi gli amici vogliono dare un contributo ci fa solo piacere, i soldi raccolti vanno direttamente alla borsa di studio che verrà consegnata dal Principe.

1. 10 anni dalla scomparsa di Mike e per la prima volta nella storia sono state unificate le reti italiane. Cosa ne pensa al riguardo?

L’ho organizzato io, era quello che volevo, so già che Mike è nella storia e nella cultura italiane e volevo che questo si ribadisse. Le ha fatte tutte le TV: la privata, la commerciale, le straniere, la Rai, il satellite alla fine.. Per fare una cosa storica ho pensato: cosa manca? Le reti unificate. Ho parlato prima con la Rai che mi ha dato il benestare, poi sono andata da Mediaset che ha accolto la proposta felicemente e, in onore di Mike, l’abbiamo fatto!

2. Mike è ancora vivo nel cuore degli italiani. Quali sono i commenti più’ belli che ha ricevuto?

Tutti i commenti sono stati belli, non ce ne è stato uno negativo, è trasversalmente amato, nessuno ha mai parlato male di lui se non quando era giovane qualche polemica … le invidie, le gelose. Tutti riconoscono che è stato un uomo corretto, per bene, un signore, divertente, innovativo, coraggioso... Non esiste un commento più bello di un altro ma è tutto l’insieme di questo grande amore che ne è venuto fuori. Grandissimo. Continua ad esserci un amore come se lui ci fosse.

Una cosa che ho notato è che tutti parlano di lui al presente. Mike è. Questa è la cosa più bella.

3. Prima la Fondazione Mike a Milano e ora l’inaugurazione a Monaco, come mai questa scelta?

La Fondazione Mike è stata creata dalla nostra famiglia per restituire tutto il grande amore che abbiamo ricevuto dalla persone.

L’apertura a Monaco è perché lui è mancato a Monaco. Aveva un legame con questo luogo e ce l’ho anche io. Era giusto allargare la Fondazione anche qui. La borsa di studio non dovrà andare per forza a una persona di Monaco ma anche a un italiano, senz’altro sarà attribuita a una persona meritevole.

6. La presenza del Principe darà grande prestigio alla Fondazione, avete in programma altre iniziative con la Famiglia Reale?

Vediamo cosa si svilupperà. Questa sarà sicuramente una borsa di studio indirizzata a ciò che sta cuore al Principe, quindi al tema ambientale legato al mare, all’energia, al clima, all’inquinamento.

7. Se Mike fosse ancora qui con noi cosa direbbe della televisione attuale?

Sarebbe stupito di come sono cambiate le cose in questi 10 anni.

Siamo arrivati ad un imbarbarimento e una maleducazione senza eguali. Lui era uomo educato mai si sarebbe immaginato questo.

Ci sono ancora trasmissioni interessanti ma la maggior parte sono programmi volgari. A lui piaceva lo sport, probabilmente avrebbe guardato lo sport.

8. Con tutte le nuove tecnologie che sbucano di giorno in giorno, cosa si inventerebbe Mike per intrattenere ma anche arricchire culturalmente gli italiani?

Proprio non lo so ma senza dubbio era sempre all’avanguardia..

Avrebbe trovato qualcosa per aiutare gli italiani. Le borse di studio che stiamo facendo sicuramente gli sarebbero piaciute e sarebbe andato nel profondo grazie al suo potere di comunicare. Insegnava a tutti a studiare, a impegnarsi e a non mollare mai. Avrebbe inventato qualcosa in questo senso.

9. Ha mai pensato di prendere il suo posto in televisione e continuare quello che faceva lui?

Io assolutamente no. Sono low profile, cerco di farmi vedere il meno possibile. Quello che mi sono accorta è che quando mi fanno domande rispondo come se mi desse lui le risposte. Anche i ragazzi.

Ci ha insegnato tante cose che ci sono rimaste dentro. Diciamo quello che lui avrebbe detto, ovviamente non bene come lo avrebbe detto lui.

10. Qual è’ il più’ bel ricordo che ha di Mike?

Non ho un bel ricordo ma ho 40 anni di meravigliosi ricordi. La nostra vita insieme è il più bel ricordo, la nostra famiglia così unita, i nostri figli. Il più bel ricordo è averlo avuto.

11. Quale dei suoi figli secondo le gli somiglia di più?

Ognuno di loro ha preso qualcosa di lui. Se li mettessimo tutti e tre insieme verrebbe fuori un Mike. Leo ha la sua presenza, Nico la sua profondità, Miki la sua saggezza.

12. Accanto a un grande uomo c’è’ sempre una grande donna e qui ce n’è’ l’esempio..

Non so se sono grande, so che Mike ha sempre creduto in me.

L’altro giorno Leo ha detto in Rai che oltre ad un grande papà ho anche una grande mamma: il riconoscimento dei figli è la cosa più bella.

ERENFORD, an emerging brand in the fashion landscape is launching a capsule collection of sunglasses –”A Summer in Portofino”– a charity project approved and supported by the Mayor of the famous seaside resort, Matteo Viacava. A large part of the proceeds from this collection will in fact be donated to the town to help repair damage caused by last year’s terrible tidal surge; and in particular, will be used for anything concerning the safeguarding of the sea and the species that live in it. The capsule will be on sale from spring 2020 in several shops in Portofino it will be wholly inspired by the charm of the town in the 60s.

Founder Christian Tresoldi tells us the story.

“It all started about 5 years ago, under the sun and the palm trees of the French Riviera.

I was having an old historic villa renovated, when, by chance, taking down an old wall I found a false wall with an old military trunk in it which by the looked like it was from the WWII era. It was difficult to open it, as it was firmly sealed with lead with a crest bearing a celadon-green Caribbean palm tree. Inside, I found English envelopes, an old bush jacket for tiger hunting, aviator goggles and photos of an RAF reconnaissance plane in Jamaica with green palms on its wings, an old German telescope and a compass that I still have in

my home in France. When I went back to Switzerland after staying in Portofino to see friends, I opened the letters with a certain curiosity and finally discovered the name of the trunk’s owner: John Berenford”.” This is how Christian Tresoldi explains the origins of the brand’s name, going on to say, “only after a lot of searching did I discover that Mr Berenford was a spy during the Second World War, a fighter pilot, an efficient English ambassador, a man who loved life and speed and a good husband to beautiful women, a colonial adventurer and hunter who retired to the French riviera and Jamaica and ended his years in a happy marriage filled with adventure. They say that John was one of the 5 or 6 men who influenced and inspired Ian Fleming to write his first James Bond. The inspiring finds of the trunk, the fascinating story, the exotic taste…there were so many things to tell, that I decided to create one brand that would, in a way, epitomize that lost world.”

Berenford wants to bring back the class and elegance of the past, inspired by the oldworld glamour of Europe after the war and above all to have unique, quality products that translate old Anglo-Italian style with a touch of chic that will be remembered but not remarked upon. Beginning with sunglasses actually inspired by those found in the trunk, they are now expanding and will soon launch total looks for men and women together with several accessories. Conducevo una ristrutturazione di vecchia villa storica quando per caso durante la rimozione di un vecchio muro trovai all’ interno un doppio fondo con un vecchio Baule Militare che ha colpo d’occhio risaliva alla periodo della seconda Guerra Mondiale. Lo aprii con fatica, era ben chiuso saldato a stagno con uno stemma raffigurante una palma caraibica verde Celadon.

All’ interno trovai delle buste di manifattura inglese, una vecchia Sahariana da Caccia alla tigre, degli occhiali da aviatore e delle foto di un aereo da ricognizione della RAF in Jamaica con delle

Quando tornai in Svizzera dopo essere passato da Portofino a salutare degli amici aprii le lettere con una certa curiosità e scoprii finalmente il nome del proprietario del baule: John Berenford” Nasce quindi da qui il nome del brand, come ci spiega Christian Tresoldi e continua - “in seguito a svariate ricerche scoprii che il signor Berenford era stato una spia durante la seconda guerra mondiale, un pilota da combattimento, un efficace ambasciatore inglese, un viveur amante della velocità e delle belle donne un buon marito, un cacciatore avventuriero coloniale che si ritirò a vivere tra la Costa Azzurra e la Jamaica concludendo i suoi anni in un matrimonio felice ed avventuroso, dicono che John sia stato uno degli 5 o 6 uomini che abbia influenzato ed ispirato Ian Flaeming a scrivere il primo James Bond. Michelangelo Tommaso My life under the sun

M

ore than twenty years have passed since that night in October 1996 when the soap opera, made in Naples – Un Posto al Sole [A Place in the Sun] appeared on Italian television screens. Created by the great man of television Giovanni Minoli and freely inspired by the Australian series Neighbours, it was and continues to be a huge success, bringing great popularity to all the actors who have taken part through the years.

Important careers began there. This is the case of Michelangelo Tommaso. He joined the cast of Un posto al sole in 2002, almost as a newcomer, today he is one of the most popular characters. Michelangelo has also found love on the set of the Raitre soap: Samanta Piccinetti. The couple are married with a baby daughter. Even though he has family and professional commitments, the actor is always thinking about new projects.

He is a real traveller always with a suitcase in his hand, ready to set off for new adventures.

Where did you spend your summer holidays? I was in Sardinia with my wife, my daughter and Miriam Candurro’s family, she is my partner in Un posto al sole. It was a lovely holiday where I was able to dedicate myself to my family and friends. Then we went to Barcelona where my brother lives and at the end of the holiday we stayed on the French Riviera.

Would you like to live abroad? Very much. I feel more free when I am abroad. I particularly love the United States. For quite a while now, I have been making regular trips to New York to study at the Susan Batson Studio. It is a trip that always changes me. I have lost a bit of my patriotism lately [laughing] Even in the States not everything is perfect but they are geared towards the future. Here, on the other hand, there is no perception of tomorrow. Everything is at a stand-still, we look backwards too much. It is a real shame because we have amazing potential.

Which European capital do you prefer?

Paris, no doubt about it. I find it an inspiring city. It is elegant but revolutionary. I love travelling. When I started work, I spent all my first wages in travels around Europe.

And where would you like to live in Italy?

Rome is my city but it has become complicated to live there. I would like to live in Florence.

My wife is from Tuscany, as is a side of my family. Naples on the other hand, is a city in the midst of great development.

Working in Naples you see the sea every day… We are very fortunate. The sea is a great source of nourishment. It reminds me of my childhood. As a child I used to have really long holidays. I spent all summer on the island of Giannutri, in Tuscany. It is a tiny jewel. I spent two and a half months there without ever seeing a car. I lived in perfect harmony with the sea.

Is it true that at the beginning of your career you acted in Gangs of New York?

As if! It was an idea of one of my old agents.

When they were shooting the film a lot of actors had roles; even very small roles. I was only an extra. But she advised me to put it into my curriculum anyway. I remember being on set when there was an incident.

They were filming at Villa Borghese and a horse suddenly went crazy. I remember that countless paparazzi came out of nowhere. I was on set for two days they were as we say in Italian, the “days of the blackbirds” [the coldest days of the year Ed.] but we were dressed as though it was April. Incredible cold but also a lot of emotion, I wasn’t yet 20. Di Caprio was completely impenetrable, always concentrating.

What was your true debut? My sister-inlaw was a highly-considered top model. One day she was called to try out for an advert, she didn’t have a lift there so she asked me if I would take her as she also knew they were looking for kids my age. I was 19 and they chose me for the advert. Then another advert filmed by Ozpetek and Un posto al sole.

Not just advertising, you also acted in Saturno Contro… That was a massive experience. He called me himself, he remembered me and I seemed perfect for the role to him. All the most important actors in Italian cinema were in that film. It was terrifying but it was also pure crazy emotion.

Between breaks and returns, you have been in the cast of Un posto al sole for 17 years… The nice thing about such a longrunning project is that, if on the one hand it is binding, on the other it is a continuously evolving challenge. Today my character is going through a difficult marital crisis. He has discovered that his wife is cheating on him. The consequence of this is an inevitable distancing. Who knows whether it will be temporary or definite...

How did you get on with your partners in the past? We had fun, Serena Rossi and I, we were two little kids. In the soap, her real boyfriend (Davide Devenuto, Ed.) is with my real wife. We didn’t have anything to do with this, believe me! I have a different relationship with Miriam Candurro. We are a different age, almost like brother and sister I might say.

Generally, we, the cast of Un posto al sole, are a big family. We give each other a lot of support. We have shared a lot of experiences over the years and sadly also great losses.

There is a great sense of unity. Then there is Naples itself, a fun city, a vulcanic one–in the truest sense of the word.

Do you watch any tv series at all?

I am a huge fan of them. I loved Stranger Things and Big Little Lies. The series of series is Breaking Bad, but it is outside of the category. I recommend Call my agent, very funny, it tells the story of Parisian cinema agents. It became a cult series. Some of the greatest French film stars have been in it.

Do you also watch Italian series? I really enjoyed L’amica geniale. I loved the novels and I thought it was a successful production.

Excellent choices for the actors as well. The story is deeply Italian and I was hooked from the very first episode.

Looking to the future, what would you like to do? I would like to go back to cinema with darker roles than Filippo or the other characters I have played up to now. I would also like to be in a costume drama. I am always told that I am well-mannered, elegant and reassuring. To play a nobleman from the past would be amusing. Meanwhile, I have enrolled at university. I get up every day at 7 to go and study. I am doing my first exams actually this week, so fingers crossed!

La mia vita sotto il sole

ono passati più di vent’anni da quando, una sera d’ottobre del 1996, arrivava sugli schermi italiani Un posto al sole, soap opera made in Naples ideata da un grande uomo di televisione Giovanni Minoli e liberamente ispirata alla serie australiana Neighbours. Il successo fu grandissimo, e continua tuttora tanto da regalare una grande popolarità a tutti gli attori che si sono avvicendati nel corso degli anni. Da lì sono iniziate carriere importanti. È il caso di Michelangelo Tommaso. Arrivato a Un posto al sole nel 2002, quasi esordiente, ancora oggi è uno dei suoi protagonisti più amati. Sul set della soap di Raitre Michelangelo ha trovato anche l’amore: Samanta Piccinetti. I due sono sposati con un bimba. Nonostante gli impegni professionali e famigliari, l’attore è sempre proiettato verso nuovi progetti. È un vero viaggiatore, sempre con la valigia in mano pronto per imbarcarsi in nuove avventure.

Dove ha trascorso le vacanze estive? Sono stato in Sardegna con mia moglie, mia figlia e con la famiglia di Miriam Candurro, mia partner in Un posto al sole. Una bella vacanza in cui mi sono potuto dedicare alla mia famiglia e ai miei amici. Poi siamo andati a Barcellona, dove vive mio fratello. E, infine, in Costa Azzurra.

Le piacerebbe vivere all’estero? Molto. Mi sento più libero all’estero. In particolare, amo gli Stati Uniti. Da ormai un po’ di anni, vado spesso a New York per studiare al Susan Batson Studio. È un viaggio che mi cambia sempre. Ho perso un po’ del mio patriottismo ultimamente (ride, ndr). Anche negli States non è tutto rosa e fiori, ma sono più orientati al futuro. Qui, invece, non c’è percezione del domani. È tutto fermo, ci guardiamo troppo indietro. È un vero peccato perché abbiamo un potenziale pazzesco.

Quale capitale europea preferisce? Parigi, senza dubbio. La trovo una città ispirante. È elegante ma rivoluzionaria. Amo viaggiare. Quando ho iniziato a lavorare ho spesi tutti i primi soldi in viaggi per l’Europa.

E in Italia dove le piacerebbe vivere? Roma è la mia città ma è diventata molto complicata. Mi piacerebbe vivere a Firenze. Mia moglie è Toscana, così come parte della mia famiglia. Napoli, invece, è una città in grande evoluzione.

Lavorando a Napoli vede il mare tutti i giorni… È una grande fortunata. Il mare è una forma di nutrimento importante. Mi ricorda la mia infanzia. Da bambino facevo vacanze molto lunghe. Trascorrevo tutta l’estate all’isola di Giannutri, in Toscana. È un piccolo gioiello. Stavo due mesi e mezzo senza vedere una macchina. Vivevo in simbiosi con il mare. È vero che all’inizio della sua carriera ha recitato in Gangs of New York? Macché, è stata un’idea di una mia vecchia agente. Quando girarono il film tantissimi attori fecero dei ruoli, anche molto piccoli. Io ero solo una comparsa. Ma lei mi consigliò di inserirlo lo stesso nel curriculum. Tra l’altro ero presente sul set quando ci fu un incidente. Si stava girando a Villa Borghese e un cavallo improvvisamente si imbizzarrì. Ricordo che sbucarono dal nulla innumerevoli paparazzi. Girai due giorni, erano i “giorni della merla” ma eravamo vestiti come se fosse aprile. Un freddo incredibile ma anche tanta emozione, non avevo nemmeno vent’anni. Di Caprio era totalmente impenetrabile, sempre concentrato.

Qual è stato il suo vero esordio? Mia cognata è stata una modella di alto livello.

Un giorno venne chiamata per il provino di una pubblicità, non aveva un passaggio, mi chiese se la portavo anche perché sapeva che cercavano ragazzi della mia età.

Io avevo 19 anni, e mi scelsero per girare lo spot. Poi arrivò un altro spot diretto da Ozpetek e Un posto al sole.

Non solo spot, ha recitato anche in Saturno Contro… È stata un’esperienza enorme. Mi chiamò direttamente lui, si ricordava di me e gli sembravo perfetto per il ruolo. In quel film c’erano tutti gli attori più importanti del cinema italiano. Un grande terrore ma anche un’emozione pazzesca.

Tra pause e ritorni è nel cast di Un posto al sole da 17 anni… Il bello di un progetto così lungo è che se da una parte è vincolante, dall’altra è sempre una sfida che si rinnova. Oggi il mio personaggio sta vivendo una difficile crisi coniugale.

Ha scoperto che sua moglie lo tradisce. La conseguenza di ciò è un inevitabile allontanamento. Chissà se temporaneo o definitivo…

Come si è trovato con le sue storiche partner? Con Serena Rossi ci siamo divertiti, eravamo due ragazzini. Tra l’altro nella soap il suo vero compagno (Davide Devenuto, ndr) sta con la mia vera moglie. Non ci siamo messi d’accordo, giuro!

Con Miriamo Candurro c’è un rapporto diverso, abbiamo un’altra età, quasi fraterno potrei dire. In generale, Noi colleghi di Un posto al sole siamo una grande famiglia.

Tra di noi ci supportiamo molto. In questi anni sono state molte le esperienze che abbiamo condiviso, e purtroppo anche dei lutti importanti. C’è una grande unione.

Poi c’è Napoli, una città divertente, vulcanica nel vero senso della parole.

Segue le serie tv? Sono un patito. Ho amato Stranger Things e Big Little Lies. La serie delle serie è Breaking Bad, ma si tratta di una fuori categoria. Consiglio Call my agent, molto divertente, racconta il mondo degli agenti cinematografici parigini.

In Francia è diventata una serie cult. Vi hanno preso parte alcuni tra i più grandi divi del cinema francese.

Guarda anche le serie italiane? Ho apprezzato molto L’amica geniale. Ho amato i romanzi e trovo che sia un’operazione ben riuscita. Ottime scelte anche per quanto riguarda gli attori. Il racconto è fortemente italiano e mi ha appassionato fin dalla prima puntata.

Guardando al futuro, cosa le piacerebbe fare? Vorrei tornare al cinema con un ruolo più oscuro rispetto a Filippo o ad altri personaggi che ho interpretato finora.

Mi piacerebbe prendere parte a una produzione in costume. Mi viene detto che sono sempre molto educato, elegante, rassicurante. Un nobile d’epoca sarebbe divertente.

Intanto, mi sono riscritto all’università. Mi alzo tutti i giorni alle 7 per studiare. Sto dando i primi esami proprio in queste settimane, incrociamo le dita.
