Farewell

Eight committees, 116 delegates, billion memories, one place, one session and one media team. One of the things that this session brought me is different perceptions of world around us. These four days, for you I was probably that lonely girl with my head in the computer 24/7, and if you participated as a delegate, world around you was your committee. For me, world around me was my team. When I think about the session and team in charge of bringing moments and saving the memories, I think of balloons named Janesz, Hans, Heidi and Malgorcata, representing hopes that will come true and fears that will not, something like those Indian dream catchers , that are preventing bad dreams to be present and allowing good ones to last longer. Maybe it is balloons that prevented bad karma, but most probably it was just us. Just like when you wake up in the morning after sleep, you never thank the dream catcher, you are just happy for no reason. This is how I feel after this wonderful experience- happy and accomplished. And I would never have that chance without my team of 9 people. Boy with so many qualities that was my right hand in the whole process and at the same time he is a boy with the strongest character in the world, one birthday girl, boy with humor that is so ridiculous and because of that is perceived as funny, boy without a towel that looks 5 years younger than he is, girl with cutest accent in the world, polish girl with all the snaps, girl with the most positive attitude in the world that is too sweet to speak Dutch, girl with enthusiasm and all the crazy ideas, and boy that we love because of his creepiness which is confirmed by 90% of questioned participants. Boys and girls, find yourselves in the description above. My dearest team, thank you for being part of this experience, I will be missing you. With love, Milica

Dni, których jeszcze nie znamy The days, that are still to come Polish or not, lear this song and go with the flow!

Dni, których jeszcze nie znamy

The days, that are still to come For so many days we were living life to the fullest So many moments passed until we lost our breath When you regret those that haven’t left anything for you There’s only one thing you should know, remember that...

Important are only the days that are still to come Important are only few moments that we wait for Important are only the days that are still to come Important are only few moments that we wait for

How to recognize the people which we already forgot? How to collect the scattered thoughts? How to abruptly separate the heart and the mind? How to hear oneself among the loudly singing crowd?

Peter Goldsborough

what is next Now we all went through this fabulous session, let’s have a look towards the future. Think about the feeling when you came to the session. Some of you might have attended MUNs, some even might have been to some EYP sessions before, but what do you do after the National Selection Conference? Imagine yourself attending other EYP events. Can you see yourself travelling around the whole of Europe, in order to meet the friends you met at previous sessions? Or are you more of the staying-close-to-home kind of person, and would the role of an organiser be a match for you? There are There are various ways you can construct your EYP career and gain memories and friends for a lifetime. Firstly, some delegates of this session will get selected for the International Session. But don’t panic if you don’t! There are a lot of sessions coming soon, and they are looking for both delegates and officials. Simply open your laptop, go to the EYP alumni website and register. It works as a search engine of the upcoming sessions and other EYP events, as well as to keep track of your session history. You can easily find the session that is most convenient and interesting to you and apply. Participating in foreign sessions greatly broadens one’s horizons and open-mindedness,therefore we encourage you to join delegations travelling to sessions abroad. The experience of EYPing abroad will give you the opportunity to present your country’s culture and food (Eurovillage, Euroconcert) and plunge into the international atmosphere. And after you get acquainted with the role of a delegate, you may find yourself looking forward to the next step - becoming an official. This opens a whole new array of possibilities within EYP. tool. When you start being an official, you might first want to apply to smaller sessions, such as EYPdays, next Regional or School sessions and even longer than National Selection Conferences, are International Fora or Summits. Next to the international adventures, there is the chance to become a registered member of EYP Poland. It’s really easy, after the session, an email will be sent to you with even more information on this topic, and it will contain a link to the application form. Being a registered member offers lots of advantages, as there are lots of activities organised for the registered alumni. Trainings, General Alumni Meetings and the annual ball are some examples. Next to that, are the registered people the ones that can propose their candidacy for becoming a board member, and have a right to vote in the elections for the board. In the national committee of EYP Poland, you can as well become an organiser or even head-organise a session. Good luck on your EYP journey! Sandra Elpers

“The night before my first session ever, I had a wild panic attack because I thought I was going to be surrounded by people who are really serious and snobby and I thought they’d think I’m stupid or something. This is my third session and all I can say is that I’ve met some of the best people ever over the year and had the best time of my life. Sessions in Polan are very special to me. Of course, because it is homeland in one hand but they are special because of the people that I met through this experience and some of those people became my closest friends. - Marta Sznajder

farewell poem You came, you saw, You spent most of Teambuilding on the floor, New mates, debates and coffee too, This is what EYP means to you. Having a laugh is all very well, But Energy was the session’s theme, Almost as awesome as the Media Team. We hope you’ve enjoyed the fun and games, Wroclaw will never be the same, We’re so sorry that you’re leaving, But don’t forget Piotr’s amazing singing. We know nothing can ever beat this session, But you’ll want to do more, As soon as you feel the EYP depression. Now it’s time to say goodbye, It’s been fun and a little bit crazy, But most of all it was extraordinary. Harriet Peel
