We have been talking about securing our borders our whole life. The last 45 years we have had eight U.S. Presidents of which five were Republicans and three were Democrats. Makes you wonder what kind of men we have voted into office, it’s obvious that it doesn’t matter if their Republican or Democrat the outcome has been the same. So what is the true number of illegals in our country? The truth is we really don’t know and naturally there are no accurate records. So let’s do some simple math based on what we do know. The United States government and the U.S. Border Patrol have announced publicly that for every illegal that we arrest, nine others make it into the country. We arrest one million illegals annually throughout the U.S. That means nine million illegal aliens cross our borders each year. Multiply that by the last ten years, it means that 90 million illegal aliens have crossed our borders. In 1986 amnesty was granted to over three million illegals and that three million have multiplied into 25 million today. Add to that the number of anchor babies born to illegals in the country. Need help with that number? Go to any public school and you will see who is responsible for the new baby

boom. It’s not Americans. Under the false pretense of a humanitarian crisis, our government is now transporting illegals to cities all over the nation. Now for the second time in the 28 years, the government, by Presidential Executive Order, is considering granting amnesty to what they say will be fove million illegal aliens. This is a complete lie. It’s not five million… it’s every single illegal alien from every country and of every age.
This is all about the power of numbers in voting. Conservative Americans will lose the power in voting due to illegal aliens and to anchor babies of voting age in 2016. Due to the large number, their vote will offset the votes of conservatives. We can no longer win by ballot. The cost to tax payers for welfare and social services, Medicaid, health care, food assistance programs, school education, housing and incarcerations for illegal aliens comes to over 400 billion each year. In the last 10 years alone it has cost tax payers over four trillion dollars. The second largest income for Mexico after Pemex Oil, is remittances estimated AMERICA, cont’d. on Page 4

Cont’d. from Page 3 at 45 to 50 billion annually sent home from illegals in the U.S. The undisputed fact is we have over 100 million illegals with children in the United States today, accounting for 25% of the total population. The majority of illegal aliens have committed a crime to some degree (not including just being in our country) including identity theft, fraudulent
Social Security numbers, green cards, driver licenses, and tax evasion. There are also other committed — murder, kidnapping, assaults, robberies, rape, molestation and sex trade. The greatest of all is the impact of those crimes on Americans. After seeing these kinds of numbers, the words immigration or migration seems very weak. The word invasion seems more appropriate. over 400 thousand illegal gang members operating in over 37 states. Along with Middle Eastern terrorist they are smuggling millions of pounds of drugs from cocaine, meth, heroin, marijuana and massive amounts of weapons and ammunition. Thirteen years after 9-11-2001, the terrorist threat is not only still among us but its greater now than ever before. We have millions of illegal aliens from Middle Eastern terrorist Countries from Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq,
Sudan, Pakistan, Yemen, Al-Qaida, ISIS and Hezbollah. They are called OTM, Other Than Mexicans. Middle Eastern terrorists will migrate to Europe, then to South America to the tri-border region where they learn to speak Spanish, then they travel to Mexico and blend in with Mexicans who are illegally entering into the United States. They now have tens of thousands of sleeper cells and over 130 Muslim terrorist training facilities throughout the Unites States. Along with the Mexican drug cartel, they have been smuggling drugs, weapons and ammunition for over a decade all to be used against us. This is information that we the people know, imagine what the Government knows and what they are not telling us. In 1970 there were 100,000 Muslims in America and today we have over nine million with over 2,150 mosques throughout the USA. About 72% of Muslims are immigrants and many of them are here illegally also entering through Canada. Many Americans don’t even know about the Gulan Movement. The Gulan Movement is a religious and social movement led by a Turkish Islamic preacher name Fethullah Gulan. The Movement has over 1,000 schools in 140 countries. Here in the United States there are 130 schools in 26 States. They are owned, funded, operated and taught by Turkish Muslim from Turkey and many of them are here illegally. So what is the point? On December 14th 2014 Turkish police arrested more than two dozen senior journalists and executives of the Gülen Movement organization on charges of “forming, leading

IMMIGRATION
California newspaper office vandalized over use of ‘illegal’ immigrant label A California newspaper will continue to use the term “illegals” to describe people who enter the U.S. without permission, despite an attack on its building by vandals believed to object to the term. The Santa Barbara News-Press’s front entrance was sprayed with the message “The border is illegal, not the people who cross it” in red paint, sometime either Wednesday night or early Thursday, according to the newspaper’s director of operations, Donald Katich. The attack came amid wider objections to a News-Press headline that used the word “illegals” alongside a story on California granting driver’s licenses to people in the country illegally. “It is an appropriate term in describing someone as “illegal” if they are in this country illegally.” - Statement from Santa Barbara News-Press “The vandalism and the damage speak for itself, as well as the motivation behind it,” Santa Barbara Police Officer Mitch Jan said. “At this point
in time, I don’t really have any suspect information. Without cameras or an eyewitness, we really don’t know who would be responsible.” In addition to the writing on the building, graffiti espousing a no-borders mentality was scribbled on the walkway through Storke Placita and the sidewalk near Santa Barbara City Hall. Police were braced for a protest in front of the paper later this week. Jan said hundreds could show up, and the Police Department is aware of the call for a protest. “There is a plan underway,” he said. “There is extra staffing on board for it.” In a statement, the newspaper said it has no plans to drop its style in describing illegal immigrants. “It has been the practice for nearly 10 years at the Santa Barbara NewsPress to describe people living in this country illegally as “illegals” regardless of their country of origin,” the statement read. “This practice is under fire by some immigration groups VANDALIZED, cont’d. on Page 21

A.J. Preller, capping off a week of bold moves. On Friday Preller landed outfielder Justin Upton in a deal with the Atlanta Braves. That was quickly followed by acquiring third baseman Will Middlebrooks from the Boston Red Sox. With the dust settled (for now) the Padres have completely overhauled their offense that ranked 30th in the majors last year. While some of the
deals are still not finalized, if everything goes according to plan the Padres will have this week acquired Matt Kemp, Wil Myers, Derek Norris, Upton, and Middlebrooks. Here’s a look at what their potential revamped 2015 batting order might look like, compared to what their 2014 lineup often looked like on a typical summer day after third baseman Chase Headley was traded in July:
2015
2014
1. Alexi Amarista, SS 2. Jedd Gyorko, 2B 3. Justin Upton, OF 4. Matt Kemp, OF 5. Wil Myers, OF 6. Derek Norris, C 7. Will Middlebrooks, 3B 8. Yonder Alonso, 1B 9. Pitcher
1. Everth Cabrera, SS 2. Yangervis Solarte, 3B 3. Seth Smith, OF 4. Yasmani Grandal, C 5. Jedd Gyorko, 2B 6. Will Venable, OF 7. Cameron Maybin, OF 8. Yonder Alonso, 1B 9. Pitcher
In addition to the offensive upgrades, the Padres also added reclamation projects to their pitching staff in Brandon Morrow and Josh Johnson. If one or both can turn back the clock they could bolster the backend of the starting rotation which already includes stalwarts Andrew Cashner, Tyson Ross, and Ian Kennedy. Just as remarkably, the Padres made these deals without losing their top prospects. Catcher Austin Hedges, pitcher Matt Wisler, and outfielder Hunter Renfroe – three of San Diego’s top four prospects according to Baseball America – remain in the organization. A roster overhaul of this nature is
not always a recipe for success (just ask the 2013 Toronto Blue Jays, among many other teams). But Preller has put the Padres in a position to make some noise in the tough NL West in 2015, and if nothing else a team worth watching. Some of his players are already excited. Since winning the division in backto-back years in 2005 and 2006 the Padres have had to watch the other California teams dominate. The San Francisco Giants have won three World Series, and the Los Angeles Dodgers throw seemingly endless amounts of cash around in pursuit of a title of their own. The Padres are now poised to make the division a three-horse race.

Payday lenders find loopholes in law to gouge troops By Richard Sisk Military.com Payday loan firms have been exploiting loopholes in the Military Lending Act capping interest rates at 36 percent to gouge troops and their families, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) charged in a report released Monday. “The current rules under the Military Lending Act are akin to sending a soldier into battle with a flak jacket but no helmet,” said Richard Cordray, the bureau’s director. “To give our troops full-cover protection, the rules need to be expanded.” The 36-percent rule of the legislation, which is implemented by the Defense Department and enforced by the bureau, doesn’t currently apply to payday loans with initial terms in excess of 91 days, or to auto title loans in which the covered duration is less than 181 days. “This means creditors can easily avoid the Act’s interest rate cap by simply making the initial term of a payday loan longer than three months,” the report said. Unscrupulous lenders can also get around the auto loan provisions of the Act by making the contract term for an auto title loan longer than 181 days. The report cited the example of a lender in Illinois who set up a 12-month contract term for an auto title loan for
a service member’s spouse. “Because it was longer than 181 days, the current Military Lending Act rules did not prohibit the lender from charging an APR of 300 percent,” the report states. The service member’s spouse ended up paying $5,720.24 to borrow $2,575, it states. Existing regulations under the Act also do not cover payday loans with an initial balance of more than $2,000. For any payday loan above that amount, lenders can charge more than the 36 percent rate, the report said. The CFPB cited the example of a California company that lent $2,600 to a service member and charged an APR (annual percentage rate) of 219 percent. The service member paid $3,966.84 to borrow the $2,600 for one year, the report said. In a letter to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, Holly Petraeus, head of the CFPB’s Office of Service Members Affairs, backed Pentagon proposals to close the loopholes in the legislation. Under the proposals, any length payday loan for any amount would be covered by the 36 percent cap. In her letter, Petraeus said the proposed changes would “help to level the playing field and provide more consistent protection for service members across the country in their credit transactions.”

Avoid these 4 mistakes I made with my student loans By Nicole Callahan, ED.gov It’s been tough for me to come to terms with, but, unfortunately for me, I am not in college anymore. In fact, this spring marked three years since I graduated from college and went into repayment on my student loans. I know, not the most exciting thing in the world, but important. So while I don’t claim to be a student loan expert, I have learned a lot of lessons along the way, mostly through trial and error. In hopes that you won’t make the same mistakes I did, here are some things I wish I had known when I was graduating and getting ready to start repaying my student loans:
1. I should have kept track of what I was borrowing
Let’s be real. When you take out

student loans to help pay for college, it’s easy to forget that the money will eventually have to be paid back … with interest. The money just doesn’t seem real when you’re in college, and I didn’t do a good job of keeping track of what I was borrowing and how it was building up. When it was time to start repaying my loans, I was quite overwhelmed. I had different types of loans and different interest rates. When I did eventually see my loan balance, I was pretty shocked. You can avoid this problem. Had I known there was a super easy way to keep track of how much I’d borrowed in federal student loans, I would have been much better off. You can view all your federal student loans in one place by going to StudentAid.gov/login.
2. I should have made interest payments while I was still in school
If you’re anything like me, you prob-
ably consumed your fair share of instant noodles while trying to survive on a college student’s budget. Trust me, I get it. But one thing I really regret when it comes to my student loans was not paying interest while I was in school or during my grace period. Like I said, I was far from rich, but when I was in college, I did have a work-study job and waited tables on the side. I probably could have spared a few dollars each month to pay down some student loan interest. Remember, student loans are borrowed money that you have to repay with interest and more importantly, that interest may capitalize, or be added to your total balance. My advice: Even though you don’t have to, do yourself a favor and consider paying at least some of your student loan interest while you’re in school. It will save you money in the long run.
3. I should have kept my loan servicer in the loop
If you’re getting ready to graduate or have graduated recently and haven’t heard from your loan servicer, make sure you check that your loan servicer has up-to-date contact info for you. When I graduated and moved into my first big-girl apartment, I forgot to change my address with my loan servicer. I found out that all of my student LOANS, cont’d. on Page 20
Project Management Professional Certification Project Management can be a great path for veterans today. It is the one core competency that most military trained personnel possess. Veterans have project management experience. Veterans are a natural fit for the project management world. Project managers are in strong demand and their salaries are continuing to climb, worldwide. The latest PMI salary survey found the median salary for project managers in the U.S. is $85,000. (PMPs with certain educational backgrounds, as in IT, Health and Security and others, make more.) The only thing that you must have is a PMP certification (Project Management Professional). This proves that you know what you are doing. The training required to pass the PMP Certification Test takes four days. More than 8 out of 10 people who take this test after the 4 day training get certified. Several doors of opportunity open for people who possess a PMP certification. First, adding a Professional Management Certification to your resume elevates you to consideration for a leadership position in a company. You can be employed by a company as a full time PMP; you can work for a PMP contractor that provides certified PMPs to companies to manage specific projects. You can work as an independent Project Management Professional. And you can also train others to prepare for taking the PMP test. The PMP certification can help you get the job, keep the job, and earn more money. CERTIFICATION, cont’d. on Page 20

Military-grade rucksack keeps your computer and gear safe
From the early morning commuter to the avid hiker, carrying gear is essential in daily life. Tossing in tech gadgets and lunch bags to climbing ropes and canteens, the routine of a backpack is anything but standard. Accidental drops and unpredictable weather often leave the items inside the bag in a state of ruckus. This is why GORUCK created the GR1. The GR1 is a rucksack made in the United States that was created, tested, and proven in war by a team of Green Berets. It is constructed with military grade materials and can withstand extreme wear and tear in environments ranging from Baghdad to NYC. Featuring a front-loading main compartment that opens flat, the internal pocket layout allows for optimal organization. Multiple pockets and fully customizable storage space make the GR1 ideal for an overnight trip or gym bag. The GR1 has an overall volume of 26 liters with a 17-inch bombproof compartment on the back. This is separated from the main compartment by thick padding and can withstand hazards like a fall from a chair. Three rows of webbing at the bottom of the GR1 allow the user to attach other items for easy carrying needs, such as water bottles, canteens or another bag. The GR1 is made with Black 1000 Denier Cordura, a DuPont developed product that
has proven its performance in some of the most austere conditions possible. The GR1 is designed to take in a downpour and not worry about the belongings inside getting damp. Visit GoRuck.com for more information.

The free seats will be given out through September 2015. “For low-income families, the cost of expensive safety equipment can be a hardship, especially in households with two or more children,” said Nick Macchione, director of the County Health and Human Services Agency “The Keep ‘Em Safe Program works closely with community-based organizations to promote traffic safety programs in underserved communities, such as refugees, Native Americans and the military.” The Keep ‘Em Safe program supports Live Well San Diego, the County’s ongoing initiative to improve the health and safety of children and families in the region. Navy grows as Air Force and Army fight off personnel cuts
By Kris Osborn The Navy will increase its ranks over the next five years while the Army, Air Force and Marine Corps shrink. At the same time, recent world events have changed the equation for Army and Air Force leaders weighing their own end-strength calculations, leading them to slow down or reverse planned force cuts. Navy leaders are now planning the composition and make-up of the fleet of sailors anticipated in 2025 as the service prepares to slightly increase its end strength over the next five years, service officials said. Since the Navy has refined what it wants the service’s fleet of ships to look like by 2025, Navy leaders are beginning to sharpen their focus on the number of sailors expected to man the fleet. The current Navy plans call for a slight increase from its current number NEWS BRIEFS, cont’d. on Page 22
SEALinspired training program in Encinitas By mid-January, New Year’s resolutions are often forgotten, the gyms empty out and people are back to their old ways. Many possess the potential, but lack the focus or commitment to see themselves through to results. That’s where ex-Commnader and San Diego serial entrepreneur, Mark Divine, steps in. Divine leads thousands all over the world through award-winning, Navy SEAL-inspired programs that develop physical toughness and mental control. Whether it’s warrior yoga, Kokoro Spirit training, or his “go caveman” nutrition, Divine’s unconventional training yields results that transcend past the body into improved work capacity, durability, and stamina. Trainees can expect increased mental toughness, increased focus, and the ability to dedicate themselves to reach both big and small and short and long term goals. Business leaders (Nike’s top executive team, Wells Fargo San Diego
team), Olympians (the U.S. Women’s Track Team won Silver medals with his help, and he is currently training the Canadian Women’s Rugby Team), pro and amateur athletes, special ops candidates, and civilians like you and I have all benefited from transformations that took place with Divine’s trainings. Make this the year you keep your Resolutions with help from Divine’s San Diego based camps, academies, or training sessions; online via his subscription based men-
tal and physical toughness academies; and/or in his books. Hooyah! www.Sealfit.com.

With its rapid sales pace, it currently tops the fastest selling new home community list in East County. “Homebuyers are very impressed with our features list,” said Stefan LaCasse, the community builder and president of Quinn Communities. “We offer amenities normally found in higher end homes, such as drywall-finished garages.” Riverview Courts, located at 9662 Caminito Quentin, offers three distinct two-story plans starting at $415,995 with many finance programs available. “Another reason Riverview Courts is so popular, is you get great choices,” added Teresa Haynes, community sales manager. “Our buyers get to customize their homes with gorgeous color

By Howard Hian www.Travels-with-Hian.com The 2015 San Diego dining season returns January 18th. through the 24th., with its semi-annual Restaurant Week. Originally launched 18 years ago to spotlight San Diego’s food scene, it has grown into a major citywide and regional event. Rutherford Birchard Hayes was the 19th President of the United States. As president, he oversaw the end of Reconstruction and the United States’ entry into the Second Industrial Revolution. Hayes was a reformer who began the efforts that led to civil service reform and attempted, unsuccessfully, to reconcile the divisions that had led to the American Civil War 15 years earlier. Born in Delaware, Ohio, Hayes practiced law in Lower Sandusky and was city solicitor of Cincinnati from 1858 to 1861. When the Civil War began, Hayes left a successful political career to join the Union Army. Wounded five times, most seriously at the Battle of South Mountain, he earned a reputation for bravery in combat and was promoted to the rank of major general. After the war, he served in the U.S. Congress from 1865 to 1867 as a Republican. Hayes left Congress to run for Governor of Ohio and was elected to two consecutive terms, serving from 1868 to 1872. After his second term had ended, he resumed the practice of law for a time, but returned to politics in 1876 to serve a third term as governor. • Flour rolling mill patented (John Stevens of Wisconsin) • Tobacco Growers’ Mutual Insurance Company incorporates in Connecticut • 1st town completely illuminated by electric lighting (Wabash, Indiana) • General Wolseley opens new legislative council in Pretoria • 6th Kentucky Derby: George Lewis aboard Fonso wins in 2:37 • League of American Wheelmen (1st U.S. bicycle association),

How could a President of the United States who has a complete understanding of the threats and dangers of having open borders take no actions to eliminate such a threat after taking an oath of “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” In Part II of this article, the author takes a look at the past four presidents, who they belong to, and what they stand for.

The debate over how to label people who are in the U.S. without permission has raged at news organizations across the nation in recent years. In 2013, both The Associated Press and the Los Angeles Times banned the phrase after employing it for decades, saying it “lacked precision,” according to Pew Research Center. tures and activities at their annual 5K Run/Walk. A new course and a chiptimed race will interest more runners while new activities, including a Kid Ventures Kids Zone, will make the event even more attractive to families. Taking place on February 7, 2015 at Poinsettia Park in Carlsbad, the new 5K course will bring runners outside the park, while the chip-timing offers runners a precise measurement of their time. Families have always been a big part of the event, which supports families and children in their greatest time of need. With food, music, health/wellness vendors, and entertainment producing the usual fun atmosphere during and after the race, MTF also made changes to enhance the overall family experience. Pot use among soldiers in Colorado, Washington is down
By Tom Roeder Colorado Springs Gazette Fewer soldiers are testing positive for marijuana in two states where recreational use of the drug is legal, an Army study of the issue obtained by The Gazette has found. The change in Washington and Colorado, where legal pot is available near large Army bases, is small. But it’s the reverse of what military leaders said would happen in Colorado Springs with marijuana legalization. “With one minor exception, the data is trending downwards, though it remains relatively flat and the changes are statistically insignificant,” Army spokesman Lt. Col. Justin Platt wrote in an email from the Pentagon. In Colorado, the rate of positive drugs tests for marijuana dropped to .47 percent in the fiscal year that ended in Oct. 1. That is down from .79 percent
in the same time period two years earlier, before recreational pot was legal. The number of positive marijuana tests at Fort Carson dropped to 422 from 725 over that span. Army brass said the drop is more of a sign of how the Army is handling legal pot than soldiers being suddenly less likely to smoke marijuana. “That’s a sign of good leadership,” said Army Gen. Chuck Jacoby, the topranking soldier in the Pikes Peak region who stepped down as commander of U.S. Northern Command on Dec. 15. The same downward trend was evident at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Tacoma, Wash. — the largest Army base in a state that also legalized recreational marijuana. There, the rate of positive drug tests for marijuana dropped over two years to .46 percent from .54 percent — a reduction of 131 positive tests.
