WOKE NONSENSE

In April, a 7-year old Black girl was shot and killed while sitting in a car with her father at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Chicago. A few weeks earlier, a 13-year old Latino boy was shot and killed by a Chicago police officer at 2:30 in the morning. He was running away from the police and was shot just after tossing a gun he had been carrying. Murder in Chicago is hardly breaking news. So far this year, the city has logged almost 700 victims of homicide. But this time a new element was added to the same sad story. This time, the CEO of a major American corporation weighed in. And what made his reaction to the deaths interesting is that he didn’t blame the usual suspects: systemic racism and rogue cops. Chris Kempczinski, the president and CEO of McDonald’s, sent a text message to Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot that recently was made public, in which he

Then he met with more than 100 pastors and community leaders from Chicago and across Illinois and apologized again. As Jason Riley noted in the Wall Street Journal: “Mr. Kempczinski was stating a plain truth, making an observation surely shared by an overwhelming majority of rational adults.”

caught on video shooting randomly at moving cars when someone called the police. Gunpowder residue was found on the boy’s hand. So, based on the information we know, it appears the McDonald’s CEO was onto something — that he did nothing more than tell an inconvenient truth. But when his message to the mayor was revealed through a Freedom of Information Act request, a swift backlash occurred. Activist groups called the text “ignorant, racist and unacceptable.”

said that the shootings were “tragic.” Then he added: “With both, the parents failed those kids. No parent wants to be accused of failing a child, but let’s take a look at whether Kempczinski was needlessly insensitive or if had reason to conclude that “both parents failed those kids.” The father of the dead girl reportedly has a long criminal record and acknowledged on social media that he knew he was a target for gang retaliation. But that didn’t stop him from letting his 7-year-old daughter sit in a car with him. As for the 13-year-old boy who was shot and killed by a police officer: What was he doing with a gun? And why was he running around with a 21-year-old repeat gun offender at 2:30 in the morning? The two had been

“You relied on lazy, outdated and racist stereotypes in order to uphold the status quo and avoid accountability for those in power,” the groups wrote. “As the leader of one of the world’s largest private employers and most iconic brands, you have a responsibility to do so much better.”

But we now live in post-George Floyd America, where simply stating “a plain truth” has become a risky proposition. Uttering a reasonable opinion that is deemed “unacceptable” by the woke mob can get you smeared as a racist. It can get you “canceled,” especially if you’re talking about members of racial and ethnic minorities. For quite a while now, we’ve heard serious people say that we need to have an honest conversation about important matters such as race. I used to think that was a good idea. Not anymore. Now we live in a time when too many of us — including too many CEOs of major American corporations — have given in to the activists and have become afraid to tell plain truths. We’re afraid the woke mob will come after us. But what happens when we become a nation of people who are afraid to speak plain truths? What happens when it’s easier to say nothing than to speak honestly about what we believe?

Perhaps Kempczinski should have seen the backlash coming. But for whatever reason, he didn’t. So, did he hold firm and stand by his words? Did he say anything about whether the dead children’s parents had a responsibility to do better? Of course not. Like so many CEOs these days, he apologized — over and over again.

Not too long ago, we Americans proudly believed the final words of our national anthem, that we live in the “land of the free and the home of the brave.” In many ways, of course, we’re still a great nation — but those words don’t seem as obvious anymore. They don’t resonate the way they used to.

In a letter to McDonald’s employees, he wrote: “I have not walked in the shoes of [those children’s families] and so many others who are facing a very different reality. Not taking the time to think about this from their viewpoint was wrong.”

And sooner or later, the American people — the rational ones, anyway — will (hopefully) say, “We’ve had enough of this woke nonsense.” For many Americans, that day can’t come soon enough.

In a video he sent to his employees, he added, “I let you down, and I let myself down.”

Is Academia awash in Liberal Socialist Bias? group of militant rank & file activists at CUNY challenging the culture of austerity in higher education and demanding a more democratic fighting union.”

” This is one of many recent headlines trying to grapple with a question that we’ve been debating for decades: are colleges and universities dominated by liberals? Over the past few years, charges that colleges and universities are “about Radical Left Indoctrination” have come from several quarters, including from the highest echelons of our government, making this a question that merits serious attention. The data for three campus constituencies unequivocally show that liberals are considerably overrepresented on university and college campuses. And the research on campus climate reveals a decrease in openness to non-liberal viewpoints. In a year when numerous faculty members who aren’t “woke” have been pilloried, and many universities are revamping themselves in accordance with the agenda of Black Lives Matter and Antifa,

Is there any counterweight to RFA? Of course not. Faculty members were more likely to categorize themselves as moderate (46.1 percent) than liberal (44.1 percent). Conservatives trailed at 9.2 percent. At community colleges, 19 percent of faculty members called themselves conservatives, and only 37.1 percent said they were liberals. Liberal arts college faculty members were most likely to identify as liberal (61 percent, compared to only 3.9 percent as conservatives).Colleges across the country have adopted the use of gender neutral pronouns. They are doing away with words such as: he, she, him, her, himself, and herself. ... According to the pamphlet, “Some people don’t feel like traditional pronouns (she/her, he/him) fit their gender identities I have three daughters , one living in Montana she is very conservative , my middle daughter who graduated from Utah University is so left wing we no longer communicate and my youngest daughter who just graduated said the professor should be teaching student to think for themselves instead they teach

Marxists believe that if the working class makes itself the ruling class, and destroys the basis for class society (private property, or what Marx called “Bourgeois Property”), there will be a “classless society.” In a Marxist society, no social classes are in conflict, and there is no government anymore. Left-wing bias pervades higher education, and since the COVID-19 lockdowns, colleges have carried left-wing bias to greater extremes than ever. At Brooklyn College (a part of the City University of New York), a faculty group called “Rank and File Action” just emailed a university-wide invitation to an event featuring the Marxist Democratic Socialists of America chapter at LaGuardia Community College. SUPER BOWL 2022 ODDS: CHIEFS, PACKERS NOW FAVORED Their status as the teams to beat doesn’t come as a surprise. Green Bay (12-3) sits atop the NFC standings, while Kansas City (11-4) leads the AFC. Earning the top seeds and the only bye in each conference would be a major boost to their title chances. The Packers are riding a four-game winning streak in which Rodgers and the offense have racked up an eye-popping 136 points, but the defense will likely need to up its game if the team is going to go the distance. Green Bay is averaging 30.5 points allowed over its past four games since a shutout win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. If not for the nearly flawless play of the offense, the Packers could be sitting in a much different position right now. That said, the defense displayed better form earlier in the season, highlighted by three road games against tough opponents—the Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals—in which the unit only gave up 18.7 points per game. That’s what the team will be looking for come playoff time.

the campaign. The reality is there was never serious cause for concern because all four losses came against strong opponents—the Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans. Mahomes and Co. haven’t suffered a bad loss all season. They’ve predictably caught fire and scored some impressive victories during a current seven-game winning streak, including triumphs over the Packers, Chargers and Dallas Cowboys.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs dealt with an endless stream of “what’s wrong?” questions during a lackluster 3-4 start to

“We got heart, that’s the biggest thing,” Mahomes said on NFL Network after Sundays 36 to 10 win over the Steelers. “It hasn’t been pretty the entire season, but guys stepped up and showed that championship swagger we had a couple years back. happen.” The NFL has held a wide-open feel throughout most of the season as no team has been able to pull away from the field, which has created crowded playoff races in both conferences. It should make for a highly entertaining finish to the regular season and postseason. Yet, it wouldn’t be surprising if the favorites from Green Bay and Kansas City are the last teams standing in February.

A doctor walks into a room with a dying patient and tells him, “I’m sorry, but you only have ten left.” The patient asks him, “Ten what, Doc? Minutes ? Hours? Days? Weeks?” The doctor calmly looks at him and says, “Nine.”

A Giants fan, a Padre fan, and a Dodger fan are climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves his team more. The Padre fan insists he’s the most loyal. “This is for San Diego!” he yells and jumps off the side of the mountain. Not to be outdone, the Giants fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells, “This is for San Francisco!” and pushes the Dodger fan off the mountain.

A guy walks into the woods as his wife is bitching at him The wife turns to him and says, “Hey you idiot it’s getting really dark and I’m scared and we could die in here ” The man replies, “How do you think I feel? I’ll have to walk back alone.”

The huge college freshman decided to try out for the football team. “Can you tackle?” asked the coach. “Watch this,” said the freshman, who proceeded to run smack into a telephone pole, shattering it to splinters. “Wow,” said the coach. “I’m impressed. Can you run?” “Of course I can run,” said the freshman. He was off like a shot, and, in just over nine seconds, he had run a hundred yard dash. “Great!” enthused the coach. “But can you pass a football?” The freshman hesitated for a few seconds. “Well, sir,” he said, “if I can swallow it, I can probably pass it.”

One Day One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in stunningly sexy lingerie. “Tie me up,” she purred, “And you can do anything you want.” So he tied her up and went golfing.

Loud Sex A football coach walked into the locker room before a game, looked over to his star player and said, “I’m not supposed to let you play since you failed math, but we need you in there. So what I have to do is ask you a math question, and if you get it right, you can play.” The player agreed, and the coach looked into his eyes intently and asks, “Okay, now concentrate... what is two plus two?” The player thought for a moment and then he answered, “4?” “Did you say 4?!?” the coach exclaimed, excited that he got it right. At that, all the other players on the team began screaming, “Come on coach, give him another chance!”

A Son Tells His Father A son tells his father, “I have an imaginary girlfriend.” The father sighs and says, “You know, you could do better.” “Thanks Dad,” the son says. The father shakes his head and goes, “I was talking to your girlfriend.”

A psychiatrist A psychiatrist was conducting a group therapy session with three young mothers and their small children. “You all have obsessions,” he observed. To the first mother, he said, “You are obsessed with eating. You’ve even named your daughter Candy.” He turned to the second mom. “Your obsession is money. Again, it manifests itself in your child’s name, Penny.” At this point, the third mother got up,

Worms A father was trying to teach his young son the evils of alcohol. He put one worm in a glass of water and another worm in a glass of whiskey. The worm in the water lived, while the one in whiskey curled up and died. “All right, son.” asked the father, “what does that show you?” “Well, Dad, it shows that if you drink alcohol, you will not have worms.”
