Welcome to our Autumn/Winter season of events for 2014. We have lots on offer to entice you into the theatre from September to December. We begin the season with the arrival of the hit ‘feel-good’ musical, HAIRSPRAY, in September. The Tony Award winner is a big, bouncy bouffant of a musical that is guaranteed to get you on your feet with a string of high energy tunes. There will be plenty of opportunities to get your dancing shoes on later in the season, when the GREASE & DIRTY DANCING SHOW debuts in November – you will have the ‘time of your life’ at this fast paced show. Music fans will be thrilled with the return of the hugely talented, CARA DILLON, in October and the ever popular, NATHAN CARTER in December. BARBARA DICKSON also returns in November to delight her many local fans. Comedy is a huge part of our programming and this season is no exception, with the return of popular stand-up, JIMMY CARR for two shows in November. JON RICHARDSON makes his Forum debut in October whilst Irish favourite, CONAL GALLEN and the popular, ROY CHUBBY BROWN bring their new shows to our stage in November.

There is drama with the hilarious, 50 SHADES OF RED, WHITE & BLUE in September and Brian Foster’s hugely successful, FROM THE CAMP TO THE CREGGAN which returns in October after a sell-out run last year. The globally renowned, ABBEY THEATRE, also brings their version of the John B Keane play, SIVE, in October as part of their latest tour. We are thrilled to welcome this world class theatre company to our stage for the first time and for its first visit to our City in over fifteen years. Our annual Christmas panto returns for what is sure to be the highlight of the festive season. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a family visit to the Forum’s panto and this year, JACK & THE BEANSTALK is guaranteed to not disappoint! Join William Caulfield and a host of local talent for this festive favourite. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our patrons for their continuing support. I hope you enjoy our new programme of events. David McLaughlin Chief Executive

Once again the Millennium Forum and its team are to be congratulated on delivering a wonderful programme of events for us to enjoy over the winter season. From the ever popular Irish folk singer, Cara Dillon, to Brian Foster’s From the Camp to Creggan, and the annual Foyle School of Speech and Drama’s Christmas show - the mix of local talent is fantastic and is something to be proud of. We also look forward to welcoming visiting shows such as the globallyrenowned ballet, Nutcracker, and the multi-award-winning Broadway musical, Hairspray. Meanwhile for both the young and old the magic of Christmas will really come alive on our stage with the story of Jack and the Beanstalk - the Millennium Forum’s biggest show of the year. Like the Millennium Forum, we are at the heart of the local community and are reaching out to all corners of the Derry-Londonderry area and beyond to support people of all ages. Be it through our banking

offering, our engagement with local schools through our school banks, financial literacy programmes and youth sports sponsorships, our charity partnership with Age NI or our commitments to doing everything we can to help local businesses reach their full growth potential. We greatly value the partnership with the Millennium Forum and are delighted to continue our relationship with what is the North West’s leading arts and entertainment venue. Like you we are looking forward to the exciting range of shows and conferences planned for the Millennium Forum this coming season. Patrick Mullan Senior Manager Personal Banking Danske Bank

The hottest act on the Irish music scene, Nathan Carter and his band make a welcome return to the Millennium Forum following a sell-out success earlier in the year.

Roy Chubby Brown returns with his meatiest show yet. He’s still rude, he’s still crude and this time he’s turning headlines into punch lines as his rip-roaring brand of banter continues to burst bellies across the country. Chubby doesn’t hold back from sharing his outlandish views on news, women and gender, sailing so close to the mark, even the most seasoned of fans will be left gob-smacked! As politically incorrect as ever ‘The World’s Most Outrageous Comedian’ is far too rude for TV, so this live performance is the only place to catch the flamboyant comedian.
