Welcome to another great programme of shows to take us right through to Summer. We are delighted to host the headline act of this year’s Jazz Festival, MARC ALMOND, who debuts on our stage on 3rd May. CHEZZIE’S CHANCE, a drama by renowned local playwright, Dave Duggan, also makes a welcome return as part of the 2019 Jazz festival. We have fun for families this season with BRAINIAC LIVE! in May, based on the multiaward winning TV show and, for younger children, HUMPTY DUMPTY’S BIG EGGVENTURE, arrives in the same month. I am pleased to welcome everyone’s favourite dragon, ZOG, from the acclaimed children’s writing team, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler in June. We are proud of our tradition of developing young people for the West End stage as a result of their participation in our Youth Musical. This summer’s production is LEGALLY BLONDE, an upbeat, onstage version of the hugely popular film in July.
Comedy is, as always, well received by our patrons and we welcome the ever popular NEIL DELAMERE back for an extra night in May after he sold out his recent gig in our venue in February. TOMMY TIERNAN is back for two additional nights in May and Portstewart’s own globally famous comic, JIMEOIN, joins us in July. This season we welcome comedy drama with Leesa Harker’s THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NORN IRON while The Grove Theatre Group takes to our stage with their production of HAIRSPRAY. The talented writing partnership, Marie Jones and Martin Lynch, bring us a brand new stage musical, THE MIAMI SHOWBAND STORY in August. If music’s your thing, why not come along to hear the prolific THE WATERBOYS when they return in May; for something completely different, THE WALLED CITY TATTOO is in August, while THE WOLFE TONES return as does ROLY DANIELS in the same month. Thank you to all our patrons, sponsors and funders for whom we continually strive to improve, create and develop our theatre offering.
This year’s youth festival, InterAct, is back in July for four days. We are giving young people aged 12-21 the chance to participate in a variety of creative and theatrical workshops for FREE. We have developed this festival over an eleven year period and this year’s promises to be the biggest and best!

Controlled Substance
Fresh from his recent sell-out show earlier this year, star of BBC's The Blame Game and Soft Border Patrol, Neil Delamere, returns to our stage. This time he thinks he has that whole "illusion of control" idea sussed. The Greatest Love of All
Taking Care Of Elvis Tim Vine
This breathtaking production, featuring the impeccable vocal talents of South Africa’s Belinda Davids, is a beautifully crafted tribute to one of the world’s most revered singers.
Ben Portsmouth, the world’s Number One Elvis Tribute Artist, is a multi-talented musician, singer and songwriter who has had Elvis's DNA in his blood from an early age.
Accompanied by a full band and dancers, Davids performs over two hours of Whitney Houston’s best loved pop hits live on stage. The show includes twenty of Houston’s most popular tracks taken from the full span of her career, including ‘I Will Always Love You’, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’, ‘Didn’t We Almost Have It All’, ‘I’m Every Woman’, ‘Exhale (Shoop Shoop)’, ‘Million Dollar Bill’ and more.
His father was an avid Elvis fan and Ben grew up on a diet of Elvis songs. He looks like Elvis, sings like Elvis and has an on-stage charisma that has audiences believing at times that they are watching the King himself. In August 2012, Ben made history when he won the ‘Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist’, the first artist from outside the USA to ever win this prestigious title.

Tommy returns to our stage following sell-out performances earlier this year. He rants and raves, he dances and acts. He tries to be very silly and very serious at the same time. He mixes a love of comic rebellion and a refusal to be conscripted into a rational view of the world with a deep grá for talking and the poetry of everyday speech. Using high theatricality and lots of dirty words, this is a fast paced and exuberant celebration of everything that’s wild, wrong and wonderful about being alive right here, right now. It is by turns clever and then really stupid. BE THERE!

The Waterboys
Formed in the early 1980s by Scottish musician Mike Scott, The Waterboys make their much anticipated return to the Forum following the release of their latest album, ‘Out Of All This Blue’. The Waterboys' twelfth and first double album is maybe the most brilliantly daring and accomplished reinvention of The Waterboys to date. Early iconic albums such as ‘This Is The Sea’, ‘Fisherman’s Blues’ and ‘Room To Roam’ cemented the band’s popularity in the 80s and 90s, with the anthemic, ‘Whole of the Moon’, being their best known hit single. Throughout their career, the band toured extensively, firmly establishing themselves as a prolific live act.

Are you ready to revisit Ireland in the 1960s in the company of the legendary Miami Showband and all their fantastic hits? Even if you’re too young to remember the 60s and 70s, this is still the show for you. Told through the eyes of two best friends and Miami songwriters, Fran O‘Toole and Des Lee, The Miami weaves us through the amazing roller coaster story of the iconic showband. Written by Marie Jones and Martin Lynch (the team that brought you Dancing Shoes – The George Best Story) The Miami takes us through the joyous dancehall days of the 1960s to the tragedy in 1975. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to dance but above all, you’ll have an amazing night out.
