North Division helps out families this holiday season North Division High School donated holiday food baskets to families in the neighborhood. This community outreach project was coordinated by North Division Newsletter Club, North Division Alumni, St. Matthew Church, North Division Parent Center, Milwaukee Public School Director Annie Woodward, Dr. Bobbie Lathan and the Milwaukee Times Newspaper. During past four weeks, canned goods and turkeys were collected to distributed to needy families. North Division High School has presently over 500 students. Sponsors help Salvation Army feed thousands on Christmas Day with annual Christmas Family Feast On Friday, December 13, 2013 the Salvation Army announced that it will host the annual Christmas Family Feast at the Wisconsin Center District, 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Christmas Day. The announcement was held in the Wisconsin Center District Foyer. The Christmas Family Feast has been a tradition in Milwaukee for the past 24 years, is (and has always been) free and open to the entire community. “What started as a dinner to feed those in need has evolved into an important holiday event where a great meal serves as the focal point for a wonderful day of fellowship, fun and community,” said Major Dan Jennings, Salvation Army Divisional Commander for Wisconsin & Upper Michigan. “We’re preparing to feed 8,000 to 10,000 people on Christmas Day; this wouldn’t be pos-

and beverages. Guests will receive complimentary gifts while supplies last. At the announcement event the sponsors presented a check to Major Jennings for their support of the feast, the Salvation Army also announced that it is still looking for volunteers to help out at the event.
