A Tribute to the Life of Glenda Maniece Glenda Maniece was born on May 1, 1969 in

Marks, Mississippi to the union of William and Alice Maniece. The youngest daughter of twelve children. She moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1975 with her family, where she accepted Christ at Greater Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. In her leisure time she loved to travel, go shopping and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was her nieces’ fashion icon; had a bubbly personality and was the “Janet Jackson” of the neighborhood. She brought a humble spirit into the life of everyone she met. Glenda was a “North Division Blue Devil” who was elected “Junior Homecoming Queen” by her peers in 1985. In June 2010 she graduated from Bryant and Stratton College receiving her associates degree in human resources. She continued her studies receiving her diploma in medical coding and billing in March 2011 and in 2015 an early childhood education license. She spent her career working in the field she loved, human services. Glenda Maniece was called home on May 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alice Manice; one brother, Robert Maniece; two sisters, Norma Jean Miller and Debra Ann Maniece; aunt Willie Bee Brown; one niece, Romona Franklin; one nephew ,Leopold Lloyd Miller; one cousin, Terrance Johnson; and two great nephews.

She leaves to cherish her memory Donelle Sims; her children, Staci (Steven) Stewart and Sierra (Geromy) Maniece; her four granddaughters; Tamyra, Taleah, Shanala and Mi’Amor; three grandsons, Samarion, Quadrevion, and Xzavion; four brothers, William (Christine) Maniece, Runnie Maniece, Danny (Ora) Maniece and Tyrone Maniece; four sisters, Dorothy (Jesse) Franklin, Velma Lowe, Linda (Robert) Maniece and Ada (Jeff) Maniece; special cousin, Pearl “Yvonne” Johnson; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and the North Division Blue Devils.

Missing You Always You never said I’m leaving, You never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, And only God know why. A million times I needed you, A million times I cried. If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still. In my heart I hold a place, That only you can fill. It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn’t go alone. As part of me went with you, The day God took you home. - Your Loving brother and sisters,

Junior, Danny, Tyrone, Dorothy, Velma, Linda, Ada and Yvonne

Glenda’s Prayer •
