Luau Lullaby Community Baby Shower presented by MHSI and Molina Healthcare

On Saturday, May 11, 2019, Milwaukee Health Services, Inc. (MHSI) and Molina Healthcare hosted their annual Luau Lullaby Community Baby Shower, in recognition of Mother's Day, at MLK Heritage Health Center, 2555 N. MLK Drive. As part of the event, participants had the opportunity to receive immunizations, free information and educational sessions, and free health screenings from co-sponsors City of Milwaukee Health Department, Caring Hands PNCC, the African American Breastfeeding Network, Inc., Vroom, Gruber Law Offices, LLC., Ascension Healthcare, Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, Tri-City National Bank, and WIC. There was also plenty of entertainment by comedienne Kelly Kellz, DJ Cheerio, singer Jackie Caldwell and food for the attendees. As part of the celebration their were raf-
fles held for baby clothes and other large items were raffled off to the mothers that were attending. Milwaukee Urban League hosts 2018 Youth Leadership Summit

On Saturday, May 5, 2018, the Milwaukee Urban League (MUL) hosted its annual Youth Leadership Summit at the Harley Davidson University Building, 3800 W. Juneau Ave., 6th floor. The event brought 50 to 60 youth who have demonstrated leadership ability through work, in school and extracurricular or community activities to participate in leadership orientations and workshops. As part of the program, 30 of the senior students attending received laptop computers. The event was free for attendees, lunch was provided, and the participants were entered into a drawing for an iPad and other prizes. The event was hosted by MUL President and CEO Dr. Eve Hall (center, front row).
