Untied Healthcare and Housing Authority host 'Baby Box Community Baby Shower'

On Saturday, June 9, 2018, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM), United Healthcare, and Baby Box, Co. presented the "Baby Box Community Baby Shower," at the Cherry Court Apartments, 1525 N. 24th Street. The event featured workshops on safe sleeping, car seat safety, baby care, parenting, and breastfeeding. There were also opportunities for raffles, games, and questions and answer sessions. All registered participants also received a complementary "baby box" from Baby Box, Co. filled with educational information, products, and service offers. North Division Alumni Association hosts '50s and 60's class reunion On Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9, 2018, the North Division Alumni Association hosted a class reunion for the classes of the 1950s and the 1960s. Friday night's event was held at 3041 North night club, 3401 W. North Avenue, which featured a dinner program and social hour. Saturday's event entitled, "A Gathering in the Park," was hosted at Dretzka Park Chalet, Photo by Yvonne Kemp 12020 W. Bradley Rd, and featured food, music, and dancing (Step'n). The event was an opportunity to catch up with old friends, and share fond memories of their high school days.
Mount Zion Assembly Healing Temple Apostous Faith says a fond farewell to church leader, Elder Ricky Price, Sr. On Sunday, June 10, 2018, Mount Zion Assembly Healing Temple hosted a "Grand Finale" for their Elder of 38 years, Elder Ricky Price, Sr. and First Lady Dr. Monica Parchia Price (pictured below) as they celebrated his retirement at their church at 4300 N. Green bay Ave. Elder Price and his wife were joined by his family, friends, and church family to celebrate his final day as a church leader. Even Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was on hand for the occasion and presented a proclamation to Elder Price.
