Actor Donald Glover helps celebrate the 30th anniversary of America's Black Holocaust Museum

On Monday, June 18, 2018, America's Black Holo- actor and activist Danny Glover made a special appearance and took part in a caust Museum celebrated the 30th anniversary of question and answer session with Maures Development Group, LLC founder the opening of the original ABHM. This occasion and president of Melissa Goins. was marked with the opening of the new museum space for the ABHM as well as The Griot apartment complex located at 401 W. North Avenue. While the new museum will not be fully completed and open to the public until the fall, the space was far enough along in construction to give individuals a sneak peek at the new museum space. Despite the weather, Milwaukee celebrates Juneteenth Day

On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, Milwaukee celebrated its 47th Annual Juneteenth Day on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Despite a rainy and overcast day, thousands turned out to take part in the festivities which included a parade, vendors, music, food, and live performances. The Milwaukee celebration is put on by Northcott Neighborhood House, Inc., and is the oldest known Juneteenth celebration in the country recognizing the ending of

Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation presents the 2018 'Dare to Dream' scholarship winners

On May 10, 2018, the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc. held their annual Dare to Dream Scholarship reception program, sponsored by Ascension. The graduating seniors were each awarded one thousand dollar scholarships.
