Mind in the Making Milwaukee Institute presents 'The Seven Essential Life Skills'

On Monday, October 8, 2018, the Bezos Family Foundation and Herzfeld Foundation presented the Mind in the Making Milwaukee Institute's "Seven Essential Life Skills," at the Medical College of Wisconsin, 8701 Watertown Plank Road. The three-day event presented workshops that discussed life skills and hot topics. The event was organized by Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeastern WI at the Medical College of Wisconsin

(CTSI) Child Advancement Network (CAN)/Vroom Wisconsin Initiative Program Director Synovia Moss and featured keynote speakers Mind in the Making/Bezos Family Foundation Senior Manager Erin Ramsey; CTSI Associate Provost Dr. Reza Shaker; CTSI Executive Director Dr. Doriel Ward; and Medical College of Wisconsin Associate Professor Fabrice Jotterand, PhD.

Emmit Williams celebrates his 98th Birthday

On Monday, October 1, 2018, Mr. Emmit Williams celebrated his 98th birthday with four generations of his family, at Canaan Baptist Church, 2964 N. 11th St. Pictured with Mr. Williams (center, seated) are his children Raymond Muhammad; Albert Williams; Brenda Oglen; Marvin Horton; daughtersin-law Lisa Muhammad and Margret Horton; and their children and grandchildren.
