Christian Business & Professional Alliance hosts 38th Annual Débutante Cotillion On Friday, November 23, 2018 the Christian Business and Professional Alliance hosted its 38th Annual Débutante Cotillion at the downtown Milwaukee Hilton Grand Ballroom. Six young women from the Milwaukee area were presented. The Christian Business and Professional Alliance is group of individuals committed to improving the quality of life for young citizens of our community. Pauline Redmond Coggs Foundation, Inc. hosts 45th Annual Débutante Cotillion The Pauline Redmond Coggs Foundation, Inc., hosted its 45th Annual Débutante Cotillion on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. Sixteen young women who hail from Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and other area school districts participated and were awarded scholarships at the foundation's black tie event. Sheriff-elect Earnell Lucas meets with the community at town hall event On Monday, November 19, 2018, the Coalition for a People's Sheriff hosted "Community Conversation: Sheriffelect Earnell Lucas" at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society, 2620 W. Center St. Sheriff-elect Earnell Lucas (left) welcomed Milwaukee County residents to a town hall forum about his plans for the Milwaukee County sheriff ’s office. Attendees were given an opportunity to meet the sheriff-elect, converse, learn and ask questions. The event was moderated by The Coalition for a People's Sheriff coordinator Ryeshia Farmer.
