A Tribute To Sean
In Loving M emory Of
Sean Michael-James Simpson
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. -Henry David Thoreau I’ve always heard a different beat of the drum. My life’s passion had me pursue history and music. It seemed the disconnect of my roots rendered me numb. Why history? It was total disrespect of my people that led me to choose it. Finding out blocks were here in America before the Asians came. The twist of history and demoralizing gave wealth and power to others and a claim to fame. Blacks were painted red, white and tan. Yes! Truth crushed to earth shall rise again.

Musical Prelude...............................................................................................
13, 1967 to the union of Robert James and Marie Antoinette Simpson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his formal education at Holy Angels, St. Nicholas and Brown Deer High School. Sean continued his education at UW-Milwaukee and (Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). His first love was learning; he strived for excellence, not accepting any grade lower than a B. One of his passions was history, especially Native American history. Sean was also passionate about music; he collected LPs, CDs and cassettes, with over 1,000 different titles. He traveled to Chicago, IL and surrounding cities to purchase music. Sean also enjoyed football and basketball, in his spare time. He always knew the exact amount of money in his pocket. Sean was good with numbers and could calculate the price and tax of merchandise to the cent. He was a kind, gentle, quiet person with deep thoughts. Sean Michael-James Simpson departed this life on April 29, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert James Simpson. Sean leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Marie Antoinette Simpson; one sister, Kimberly Monique-Antoinette Simpson; nephew, Kody Alexander Simpson; and a host of cousins and friends.
