Andrew Montgomery

Debut! Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, Drew is an NYC–based artist and an alum of North Carolina A&T State University and The British American Drama Academy. He recently starred as King Louis in The Three Musketeers and Collins in Rent at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Select credits include Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors (North Shore Music Theatre), Omari in Pipeline (American Stage), Eddie in Sister Act (New Stage Theatre). Jonathan Gillard Daly

Jonathan has appeared in well over fifty roles at Milwaukee Rep since his return to his hometown in 1995. He has been a member of resident acting companies at Milwaukee Rep, Repertory Theatre of Saint Louis, PCPA Theaterfest, and the Great River Shakespeare Festival. He is also a published playwright and the author of a memoir. He and his wife Gale, to whom he has been married for 42 years, have raised two children: Sam, an associate professor at the University of Chicago, and Emily, an actor and stand-up comedian bound for Chicago.

James Moye Rita’s Dad

Daniel Messé

Composer, Co-Lyricist, Arranger

Daniel is the founder and principal songwriter of the band Hem (albums include Rabbit Songs, Eveningland, Funnel Cloud, Departure and Farewell, et al). Previous theatre credits include Twelfth Night (starring Anne Hathaway and Audra McDonald, dir. by Daniel Sullivan) for Public Theater’s 2009 season of Shakespeare in the Park. Along with Craig Lucas (book) and Nathan Tysen (co-lyrics), Daniel wrote music/lyrics for the musical adaptation of the film Amélie, which debuted on Broadway in 2017 (directed by Pam McKinnon), and was re-conceived for the UK (dir. by Michael Fentiman), earning three Olivier Award nominations (including Best New Musical) and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theatre Album. Upcoming work includes a new musical for New Works Provincetown (reuniting with Craig Lucas and Nathan Tysen, dir. by Michael Greif), along with a new Hem album to be released later this year.

Sean Hartley Co-Lyricist

Sean is the lyricist, composer and/or playwright of productions including Cupid and Psyche (with composer Jihwan Kim, Drama Desk nomination), Little Women (with composer/ lyricists Kim Oler and Alison Hubbard, Syracuse Stage), Love and Real Estate (with composer Sam Davis, 59E59 Theaters) and Snow (ASCAP Harold Arlen Award - Best New Musical) His works for children include Number The Stars (from the Newbury Medal book by Lois Lowry) and Sunshine (from a book by Ludwig Bemelmans.) His works for television includes the Disney Channel’s The Book of Pooh and Bear in the Big Blue House. He is the director of musical theater at Kaufman Music Center in New York City, where he curates, produces and often hosts

the series Broadway Close Up and Broadway Playhouse. He is also a frequent lecturer throughout the country on American musical theater.

Wiley is a NYC-based music director, arranger and pianist. Broadway: The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (also National Tour and Off-Broadway), Girl from the North Country (also National Tour and Public Theater), Amelié (also Center Theatre Group and Berkeley Rep). Other Off-Broadway: Whisper House (The Civilians), The Lucky Ones, The Wildness (Ars Nova), Preludes (LCT3), First Daughter Suite, The Fortress of Solitude (Public Theater). Julia is the founding Artistic Director of Lucky Plush Productions, a MacArthur Award-winning company recognized for its unique blend of dance, theater, comedy, and socially relevant themes. Her work has toured to 80+ venues worldwide, including the Kennedy Center, The Joyce Theater, Institute of Contemporary Art, ODC Theater, Wellesley Center (Auckland), and Teatro Las Carolinas (Havana). Additional choreography includes projects with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Steppenwolf Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, South Coast Rep, Lookingglass Theatre, and Art on theMart, the world’s largest digital installation. Directorial Contributions

David is an actor, director and Artistic Director of Tony Award-winning South Coast Repertory. Ivers led the re-branding of SCR’s renowned new play development programs, as The Lab@SCR, expanding the development of new American musicals and establishing the Pinnacle Commission, among the largest awarded to a major U.S. playwright. Prior to SCR, he was artistic director for Arizona Theatre Company, served more than 20 years as an actor and director at Utah Shakespeare Festival—the last six as artistic director—and was a resident artist at Denver Center for the Performing Arts. He has also directed at the Guthrie Theater, Oregon Shakespeare

Mark is an awardwinning international theater director whose work has appeared in over 100 major theaters throughout Europe and the United States. He began his tenure as Artistic Director with the 2010/11 Season

by bringing musicals to the mainstage, starting a tradition that is now the highlight of every season. Mark has directed over 30 productions at Milwaukee Rep including World and American Premieres, his own adaptation of the current A Christmas Carol and all but one mainstage musical including Run Bambi Run, Titanic the Musical, West Side Story and Dreamgirls. Prior to joining Milwaukee Rep, Mark served as an Associate Artistic Director for several UK theater companies, most notably, Artistic Director for the award-winning Derby Playhouse in the UK where he directed over 40 productions. He has been nominated for an Olivier Award and several UK Theatre Awards, and has won three Barrymore Awards in Philadelphia. He created and directed the West End and UK National Tour of Soul Train. Mark is currently working with Ayad Akhtar on adapting his critically acclaimed novel American Dervish for the stage to make its World Premiere in an upcoming season. He is also co-writing The Craic, making its World Premiere in the Stackner Cabaret later this season.

Chad joined Milwaukee Rep in 2013. Since, the theater has produced more than 130 productions, raised nearly $100 million through 3 capital campaigns, launched a new A Christmas Carol and the Jack Lewis New Play Development Program, began construction on the Associated Bank Theater Center and quadrupled net assets operating without a deficit for 11 years. Bauman has been named Top 40 under 40 by the Milwaukee Business Journal, a Champion of the Hispanic Community by the United Community Center, and a notable LGBTQ Executive and NonProfit CEO of the Year by Milwaukee BizTimes. He is a doctoral student in Organizational Leadership at UNC Chapel Hill and a graduate of Brown University’s Leadership Coaching Program, Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management Program, and CalArt’s MFA Producing Program.
