In Terms of Architecture, Art and Cultural history the most valueable part of the Palace ansamble is the first floor of the east wing (the one facing Didžioji high street) from XVII-XVIII century; known as bel-étage or piano nobile.

HISTORY

“

Pac Family was one of the most influencial noble families in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during the era of the Polish-Lthuanian commonwealth. The family reached the height of it’s influence during the second half of the XVII century. One of the most notable member of the Pac family was the Grand Hetman of Lithuania - Mykolas Kazimieras Pacas (Michał Kazimierz Pac 1624-1682). He bought two houses on Didžioji street and turned the possession then into most representative Palace in Vilnius for next 150 years.

All the property of Pac Family was confiscated by Tzar Army.

THE BUILDING

PUBLIC AREAS The ground floor. Lobby and restaurant

The idea to place the Coat of Arms of the Pac family in the intersection of the central and the entrance axes would be very attractive and informal at the same time: even from a bird’s eye view, it will be clear that the possession belongs to the Pac family.

The authentic layout remains in the baroque stables, by coincidence its stalls reminds palace enfilade. That’s the key for reception-lobby-restaurant interior: palace meets stables. Stony floor and wooden walls. No suspended ceiling, just grid under the ventilation system and cosy lighting. The furniture set random, as if collected throw the centuries, mix&match from vintage till modern industrial, with touch of loft style.

In summer, the restaurant extends to the yard; wicker chairs under umbrellas, illuminated by gigantic candles and outdoor floor lamps.

THE PALACE

The bel-ĂŠtage On bel-ĂŠtage, the primary structure of spaces remains almost unchanged. An enfilade will be restored, connecting five largest halls of the palace and three hotel suits can be used as one space for special needs.

Basic elements: plastered walls and ceilings, parquet flooring in rooms and corridors and unique carpets on the floor.

Three rooms will contain baths in the space of the room.

Chandeliers, wall lights, floor lamps and candles create

unique lighting scenario. After the restoration, the view will be enriched by authentic wall and ceiling paintings from the end of XVII century.

Furniture set random, as if accidentally collected during last three centuries.

RESTAURATION

THE STABLES

The rooms in the stables In the rooms arranged in baroque stables history meets modernity: contemporary Lithuanian design in a historical entourage. Furniture and decor items of young Lithuanian designers: a rocking chair “Mom� and pillows with ethnic motives. Playful horses on bedhead reminds former function.

NEW BUILDING

The green cube The idea of unique interior of this room was inspired by the painting “Ramybė” (Serenity) by famous Lithuanian painter and composer M.K.Čiurlionis The image on the wall behind headboard is like an island in a mist, floor lamp as a full moon, nonconventional furniture completes the landscape. The emotion that works.

Incredible Čiurlionis imagination does not stop to excite.

COLLAGES

Minimalistic black&white rooms The carpet color changes from the darkest to the brightest tone, moving from the door to the window curtains. Tracery of furniture and lighters completes the graceful scenario.

Attic of palace Democratic and playful attic, mix of modern and ethnic style designed for gourmans taste.
