Letter from Board Chair & General Director On behalf of everyone at Minnesota Opera, we are pleased to share with you the results of our 2014-2015 season. From our latest world premiere, The Manchurian Candidate, to artistic director Dale Johnson’s 30th Anniversary with the company to achieving a budget surplus to serving nearly 400,000 people with our programs, it is clear that this past year was an incredible success! Minnesota Opera has become synonymous with innovation and creativity. It is our commitment to developing new operas that has gained us a national and even international reputation. You are likely familiar with our mainstage productions – both new works, as well as bold reinventions of classic operas, produced at the Ordway. However, you may be less familiar with our education and training programs, and the different ways we create for opera-lovers to engage with and participate in our work. In the following pages, you’ll read about and see some of the accomplishments of our 2014–2015 season, highlighting the full breadth of our work. Thank you for helping us make this possible. Sincerely,
James E. Johnson Board Chair

They are excited to use their own voice and experiment with all that it can do. This experience was one that will have a lasting impact on their musical learning and appreciation.”
