Cardboard was used at preliminary stages, due to the ease and quickness it allows in creating rigid forms, portraying a cohesive mass. The choice towards selecting a single form stemmed from the added value that certain forms allowed for in terms of permutations, deriving from their mirrored geometry, giving it holistic form an added value of complexity to its perceived simplicity. Protrusions in the base plate complimented such

Wax was favoured due to its tangibility and ease when casting. Variations in tonalities of shades of whites where used as to better determine which would better relate to the overall form, also in relation to the plastered base and other pieces. The casting and the setting of the wax gave an unseen dimensional quality irregular textures created as the wax set, a quality allowing for various aspects in terms of materiality. Variance in tones, shades, dried surfaces etc, of the material were further appreciated.
