Isabella Jordan
What do you wish the Misawa community knew about the Teen Center?
There's an art corner, video games, music you can play and a movie room with a dance floor. There are also Keystone opportunities for teens to host events for Misawa teens.
What is your best memory from the Teen Center?
My best memory is when we had a camp fire at the base beach. We played volleyball and the ball went over the fence into the street. Another favorite memory is when we went to a haunted park on base during our haunted late night event.
How has your experience as a military a military child been? It has been hard moving place to place and making new friends everywhere you go. But, it's cool that I get to live in the snowiest base in the world and see cherry blossoms.
What do you wish the Misawa community knew about the Teen Center?
I wish they knew the home-y vibes this place brings and all the fun and good times we have here.
What is your best memory from the Teen Center?
My best memory is Operation Megaphone, because everyone I knew was there and we were all singing karaoke at the top of our lungs. Another memory was the first lock-in when I felt like I was over heating while playing slap UNO!™.
How has your experience as a military child been?
There have been ups and downs. Feels like a roller coaster, that never stops and keeps on going. A good thing is the traveling because I don't like staying in one place for a long period of time.
Jordan & Isabella are active members of the Misawa Teen Center. They collaborated with our marketing team to create the cocept for this publication as part of the Month of the Military Child celebration. They were inspired by thier love of Ready Player One, Virtual Reality and gaming culture.
