Back Schl Time Ca ule

Starting this month, we will be inviting parents to create a time capsule with their child. Parents are encouraged to bring in small memorable items or pictures of the items that can fit inside the 16 oz. capsule. Teachers will take a photo of the child and place it in their time capsules. On each time capsule, a note will be placed reminding everyone not to open it until August 2023. In 2023 families will open their time capsules and discuss their child's development with the teachers. Afterwards, they get to refill it with new items and repeat this activity for another year! Time goes by quickly and this is a fun activity to remind ourselves to stop and enjoy the good times.

PRO TIP

Relax Before Hitting Your Shot

One way to release tension in your body before you swing is to relax your arms by taking a deep breath and letting your arms naturally hang. When they are hanging freely, your hands should be located directly below your mouth and chin. This is a natural position that is more comfortable, less tense and will allow you to start the swing in a positive manner which will lead to better golf shots. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT WORKING AT THE GRISSOM DINING FACILITY? Speaking with customers when I have the opportunity. I enjoy getting on the grill and conversing with the customers. I like learning about others and their jobs because it opens my perspective to other AFSC's.

WHAT DO YOU WISH THE MISAWA COMMUNITY KNEW ABOUT YOUR PROGRAMS? We service everyone with DoD access; we offer an array of menu items and a great staff to welcome you.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMORY AT THE GRISSOM DINING FACILITY?

GRISSOM DINING FACILITY MANAGER

The team synergy! During the holidays, my team and I successfully executed and hosted Wing leadership with little to no assistance. I was genuinely proud of the Misawa dining team, both military and local nationals, who came together to provide great meals during the holiday season.
