PRO’S CORNER
WHAT IS MY HANDICAP INDEX?
It is a number representative of your demonstrated playing ability that allows you to fairly compete against your mates and fellow competitors in competitions.
ONCE I ESTABLISH A HANDICAP INDEX, HOW OFTEN SHOULD I "PLAY TO MY HANDICAP"?
It is said that you may shoot your handicap once in 4–5 rounds on average. The expectation should be to shoot 2–5 strokes higher than your handicap index. If you do not have a GHIN handicap setup, please visit the golf shop to sign up, so you can fairly compete in the Base Championship!

FSS SPOTLIGHT
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT WORKING AT THE ARTS & CRAFTS CENTER?
My favorite part about working at Arts & Crafts is the relationships developed with my coworkers. Everyone is so fun to work with and they’ve become my closest friends. They've truly made my entire experience in Misawa memorable.
WHAT DO YOU WISH THE MISAWA COMMUNITY KNEW ABOUT YOUR PROGRAMS?
I would like the Misawa community to know how flexible we can be. We have a large range of programs, including painting classes, ceramics, custom frames, graphics and wood shop projects. Each are customizable to fit whatever your needs may be!
WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMORY AT THE ARTS & CRAFTS CENTER?
SAMANTHA NELSON
Misawa Arts & Crafts Center Recreation Assistant
There are too many memories to choose from! I will definitely never forget the time I was blowing up balloons in our old facility, with the ridiculously tall ceilings, and I accidentally let one go. A coworker and I had the time of our lives standing on a step stool and using a giant pole to get it back.
