Stay Cool For the Summer PIT STOP GARAGE
AIR CONDITIONING SERVICES STARTING AT $50 1. RECEIVER-DRIER
The receiver is a metal container that serves as a storage receptacle for the refrigerant. It’s also referred to as a drier because it absorbs moisture from the refrigerant and lters out particles of debris and acids that would otherwise harm your AC system. Commonly located on the liquid line of the AC system, you should change your drier every three to four years to ensure quality ltration and prevent any damage caused by detrimental chemicals. Our machine vacuums and clears out any moisture in the system to ensure the receiver-drier is functioning properly.
2. COMPRESSOR
The compressor is a belt-driven device that derives its name from compressing refrigerant gas and transferring it into the condenser. While acting as a simple pump, the compressor is the core of your vehicle’s air conditioning system. Our machine checks the pressure output of the compressor to make sure it is operating properly.
24 | June 2021
3. CONDENSER
The condenser’s primary function is to cool the refrigerant. It is a heat dissipating apparatus that radiates heat released by compressed gasses and condenses them into high-pressure liquids. The location of your condenser depends on how new your car is. It is typically found at the front of the vehicle, directly in front of the engine cooling radiator. We make sure your cooling fan is operating properly and that the vanes in the condenser are clean and free of debris.
4. EVAPORATOR
The evaporator is designed to remove heat from the inside of your vehicle. We check the blower motors lter or cabin lter of your car to make sure it is working optimally. Lastly, lines and hoses are inspected by applying vacuums and dye to check for leaks.
Call the Pit Stop Garage at 226-9486 to schedule your appointment today!

FSS SPOTLIGHT What is your favorite memory working for the Marketing Ofce?
What do you wish the Misawa community knew about your programs?
What is your favorite part about working for the Marketing Ofce?
The thing about memories is that they are constantly being made and I truly believe my favorite has not happened yet. However, creating a concept for the Leisure Times magazine and seeing how the vision comes together is cool and something that I wanted my whole team to experience. Offering this opportunity to team members who were not previously afforded it has been rewarding and has had a synergising effect. To understand the team and the role they need me to play has been invaluable to improving our synergy ne erg gy y nity y tto while also affording the team the opportunity explore other areas of growth.
Marketing is a powerful tool that must be used effectively in order to get the desired results and is something that is not always appreciated. My team understands this responsibility and is a group of the hardest working, most skilled individuals. They show up daily to ensure that the Misawa community is aware of a wide-ranging variety of FSS facility programs, events and changes to operations through digital and print mediums to appeal to a wide-ranging population and their preferences.
There are a few things that I really enjoy about working in the Marketing ofce but my favorite part is the opportunity to express creativity through design daily. My ofce is often one of the rst to receive new information and has the challenge of determining how things will look before being presented to the community.
