Welcome to the Mission Leisure Centre
A Message from the Mayor Welcome to the Fall/ Winter edition of the Leisure Guide for 2019/2020. The early days of Fall offer lots of opportunities to visit community parks, and take in an outdoor concert or special event. All of these events rely on the hard work and creative energy of many community volunteers so please support their efforts and enjoy all that the season has to offer. Walking is one of the very best and least expensive ways to get active. I encourage you to join me as I continue to host walking events led by our Parks, Recreation & Culture staff. Short or long,

uphill or downhill, these walks are a great community event that will serve to keep us all fit and healthy so please watch for future Walk Mission events.
Please visit our website for the most up-todate schedules, events & holiday hours.
Staff continue to work hard to address the needs of our growing community. New this season will be earlier Sunday morning hours at the Leisure Centre, and a new registration process for Club Kids.

Getting Along in our Natural World We live on nature’s doorstep and bears, cougars, coyotes, raccoons and other wildlife are part of our environment. With residents enjoying the outdoors and residential developments advancing further into habitats, it is everyone’s responsibility to make sure that we stay a safe distance from each other. Respect all wildlife, never surprise, approach or attempt to feed wildlife. Keep children and pets close at all times.
