AFTER MAC FOUNDATIONS’ CORNER Leaving a Legacy

Do You Have a Will? An Estate Plan?

Amazingly, more than 50 percent of adults in the United States do not have a will or an estate plan, and many wills and estate plans have not been updated in many years.

Writing wills and estate plans and updating them takes time and can be expensive, but one easy and inexpensive way to ensure that your heirs and favorite charities receive assets at the time of your death is through beneficiary designations. Beneficiary designations are easy to make and easy to change.

In order to leave a lasting legacy here at your Club, please consider designating the MAC or one of its three foundations (Preservation, Sports and Arts) as a beneficiary on one of your retirement accounts (IRAs, 401ks, 403bs, etc.) or a life insurance policy.
