SSM Health Physical Therapy offers Biomechanical Video Gait Analysis (VGA) for rehabilitation, injury prevention and performance enhancement to help you achieve your fitness goals.
VGA is for runners of all levels, whether you are training for your first 5K or are a competitive marathoner.
This is a functional evaluation which includes examination of strength, flexibility, stability and balance, as well as a video analysis of your walking and running form.
VGAs are used to identify biomechanical deficits contributing to common running injuries and to educate runners on the most efficient form to achieve their full running potential.
At SSM Health Physical Therapy, your physical therapists utilize VGA as well as other treatment options to address conditions such as:
• Iliotibial band syndrome • Patellofemoral pain syndrome • Plantar fasciitis • Shin splints • Stress fractures • Common running injuries
Analysis includes:
• Video evaluation of running and walking • Identification of biomechanical deficits that may contribute to injury • Shoe wear recommendation • Personalized packet with running exercises and drills based on your analysis
