Dear Pilots, Spring has sprung! .....unless Mother Nature is tricking me again. At any rate, it's TIME for us to SPRING into action. We have several activities coming up in April and May: Garage Sale, District Convention, Plan of Works, Food Drive and the Mad-Hatters Tea Party. I hope you can attend most, if not all, of these events. A couple of reminders: Plan of Works is the most important meeting of the year, so please take a few minutes of your time, between now and April 27th, to make contacts with people or organizations that could use our help. Even if we end up with more projects than we can handle next year, they can always be plan "B"; in case a project falls through, we will have something to fill in the void. I believe if we are continually active, doing worthwhile

but in doing so, we will attract new members.

I want to thank everyone for your contributions throughout the past few months to PIGGS (Pilot International Goals for Grants & Scholarships). You were especially generous this past meeting. "Precious" raised a total of $54.00 at that meeting. WooHoo!! "Precious" can hold her snoot up high when she delivers the donations to District Convention. Cindy Williams President

Members from each of the four Ocala Anchor Clubs will be joining us at our April Meeting as our Program. They will be sharing some of the things their individual clubs have done this year and spend the evening with us. As a way to congratulate them on a great year, we will celebrate with cake and a few refreshments as well. Please plan to come to this meeting and show your support to our Ocala Anchors - they do so much for our community!

At the March Meeting we discussed the FL District Anchor Convention Project for Give Kids the World Village in Kissimmee. Here is more information that you can look up if you are interested in learning more about this GREAT organization that helps the families of terminally ill children throughout the world. We are going to meet together and look at our upcoming year to decide on Projects, Fundraisers and Membership ideas and get it all done at one time! Make sure you bring your ideas along with the details on how it will work and be ready to present it to the Club. Let's plan on a GREAT & EXCITING year together as we figure out ways to work in our community to help others in need!

Precious wants to thank everyone for their generious donations each month, which allowed her to collect $100 to turn in for our Club at the Convention!

We will not be maiking cards this month due to the Anchor Program, we will continue this project in May.

The Anchor Runway event held on Sunday, April 7th rasied money for The Scleroderma Foundation. The live auction on the runway raised just over $800 and they also sold dresses at the boutique.

So proud of our Anchors for a job well done! They raised lots of money for a great charity, inspired those in attendance with their active lives but how they still take out time to care for others. April Birthdays
