FLORIDA DISTRICT ANCHOR ORGANIZATION 2013 Anchor Convention District Officer Nomination Form All clubs making a nomination for District office must be in good standing (current District and International dues paid). A nominee for the office of President Elect shall be a sophomore at the time of election with two (2) years remaining in high school. The President Elect shall become the President after serving a one (1) year term. All other officer nominees for District office shall be Anchor Club members in good standing and have one (1) full year in high school remaining after installation. Each nominee will give a two (2) minute speech at the Anchor District Convention. ONLY THREE NOMINEES PER CLUB MAY RUN FOR OFFICE. Per Florida District standing rules, campaigning at convention is NOT permitted.

Florida District Anchor Job Descriptions A brief description of each District Office and the responsibility of those members holding that position, throughout their year in office. PRESIDENT • Meetings to Attend: o Pilot FL District Convention – Friday – Sunday End of April / Early May o Pilot & Anchor International Convention o Pilot Fall Council – Friday – Sunday end of October / Early November o FL District Anchor Convention – Friday evening meeting – Sunday end of Convention • Will preside over the all meetings and the District Anchor Convention • Work with the Coordinator on the details of the Agendas for the Planning Meetings • Work with other Anchor Board Members and Coordinators on the Planning of next year’s District Anchor Convention • Appoint an Anchor to fill the Office of a member who is no longer able to finish the term, preferably one of the remaining nominees from the most recent convention • Works on the plans for Cultural Exchange to be held at Pilot International Convention as long as that event remains on the Agenda • Will give a verbal invitation to all Pilots during their District Convention and Fall Council to attend the upcoming District Anchor Convention • Maintain communication with the Coordinators via email or phone call as necessary throughout the year • Must be a member in good standing of a Florida District Anchor Club • Compile the Newsletter throughout the year, collecting articles from other Anchor Board Members
