Happy Holidays! Anchor Newsletter President’s Column:

Pilot Fall Council:

Hi everyone! My name is Beth Summerford and I am the Florida District Anchor President. I feel privileged and honored to be the Florida District Anchor President for Anchor’s 25th anniversary! With this in mind, I invite you to the Spring Anchor Conference themed ,“Anchored In Love”, at the Radisson Worldgate Hotel in Kissimmee Florida on March 3rd and 4th, 2012. I encourage everyone to come and help celebrate our 25th anniversary, focusing on LOVE! For it is our love for others that inspires us to help those in need. Anchor is an organization,” Anchored in Love.”

This past October, The Florida District Anchor Executive Board attended the Pilot Fall Council in Maitland, FL. The theme of this weekend was the Olympics. After the Executive Board worked to plan this year’s AMAZING convention, they managed to fit in a little fun of there own with the Pilots. The pictures below show the Executive Board dressed up as sports enthusiasts and working Anchor’s two Olympic games, Chocolate Pong and a Ring Toss.

Please have a safe and happy holiday season!! XOXO Beth Summerford

Speaking from experience, I know that your high school years can be very fun but also very challenging. There never seems to be enough time to study, contribute to your community, work, and try to fit in a little fun. If you feel overwhelmed, there is a new website that I would like you to visit:

www.InSearchOfMeCafe.com This website, a non-profit organization, is designed to help teenagers deal with the many problems that we face. I think that you will find it very useful and informative. I know that I did.
