Presidents Message YAY!!! October and cooler weather is here!!! Day of Caring was September 24th. We had a very nice turnout from the Anchors. The girls completed the tray favors and then signed many, many Holiday cards to be sent to the troops to show how much we appreciate their fighting for our freedom. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. I believe we are ready for the Spaghetti Dinner Saturday October 8th. Please show your support to the Anchors so they may attend their annual convention. They certainly help with us with some of our

functions and we need to return the good deeds. I believe we have 4 schools participating this year. At our October meeting we will be showing the new catalogue of the Mixed Bags we have been selling on Saturdays at the Farmer's Market. We are going to take orders from members, and ask that you try to get orders from your friends/family (collecting the money up front). We will also be taking bags and other items to Fall Council for Marketplace. October's meeting will also include a Brain minders skit starring some of our members who have volun-

teered so willingly! No charge for the show, ladies. Also, just want to take the opportunity to say I appreciate and thank each one of you for all you do for our club. Keep getting our name out there to let the community know who we are and what we do.

See you all on October 20th!

Anchors Away The Pilot/Anchor 2nd Annual Spaghetti Dinner was held on Saturday, October 8th. Although we were up against the yuckiest weather Ocala has seen in months and the Florida Game, I think we still had a successful fundraiser for the Anchors. If nothing else, all those that participated had a few hours of fun working together, nothing beats a few hours of fun. Out of the 37 Anchors

that volunteered for the dinner only about 2 or 3 had done this before, the rest were all new to the Spaghetti Dinner. All of the monies haven't been tallied yet, but there will be totals at the October Business Meeting. Thanks to all the Pilots that participated with

this dinner, it wouldn't be possible without each of you!! Here are a few pictures to enjoy but you can see them all on the Pilot Club of Ocala Facebook page.

Pecans get your Pecans Fall is here and that means time to think PECANS. I will be contacting you to remind you of what you sold last year and confirm your commitment for

this year. The plan is to place our order no later than the 20th of October (meeting night) but would actually like to get the order in sooner as shipment is scheduled as "first in first out." Presales are urged since having orders on hand makes for faster delivery when the truck arrives.

We have a new price of $10.00 a pound. Remember Pecan money goes to the running of the Club BUT Pecan profits from sales the square will go to the ARC Fund Raisers.
