Welcome, We are delighted you are here! If this past year has taught us anything, it is how vital connection, community, and creativity are in everyday life. The Center is eternally grateful for the outpouring of support from patrons, our donor family, corporations, foundations, and grants during the pandemic. Because of this generosity, we were able to present limited capacity concerts, where 45 artists stepped on stage for their first performances since the shutdown. It was an honor to be able to cultivate joy through shared experiences in the arts during such a difficult time.
Jill O’Neill Executive Director
This season is packed with incredibly talented artists eager to get back on stage and perform for you. We have returning favorites such as the unforgettable a cappella sounds of Naturally 7, Sinatra stylings of Michael Feinstein, breathtaking classics by the Vienna Boys Choir, and the biggest "little orchestra," Pink Martini, joined by China Forbes. Many world-renowned artists will make their Northern Michigan debut this season. In July, comedy fans should be sure to experience the hilarious family friendly Ryan Hamilton; the elegant, multifaceted Vanessa Williams graces the stage with a powerful vocal performance; and Chicago-born Grammy Award-winning jazz artist Kurt Elling brings his unmatched talent. In August, the stage transforms into the Grand Ole Opry for a Centerproduced musical, Always...Patsy Cline, with a Broadway caliber cast. Looking to the fall, we welcome the popular country duo Thompson Square and the legendary B.B. King Blues Band joined by Claudette King and The Voice's Michael Lee.
Kathy Oswald Board Chair
Michael M. Kaiser Artistic Director
With something for everyone, whatever inspires you this season, we hope you experience joy and connection. The Center could not continue to carry out its mission without the unwavering support of our patrons, donors, volunteers, board and committee members, and staff – thank you all. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the event.

Thank you! The heart and soul of the Great Lakes Center for the Arts is defined by the generosity of its donor family. From the earliest days, when a performance venue such as the Center was still just an idea, visionaries stepped forward to make this bold dream a reality. Today, this spirit of generosity continues, powering this remarkable and vital venue, and providing the ability to present exceptional performances and educational opportunities for all who live, work, or play in Northern Michigan. To those who have supported the Center and its mission of greater access to the performing arts, a heartfelt thank you! For those who would like to join the donor family of believers listed on the following pages, we look forward to welcoming you soon. With warmest regards,
